Vintage Ucagco Japan hand painted pitcher w applied flowers. Looks German, exc
Ucagco Watering Can with Applied Flowers 6 1/2 in. h(with handle) x 3 in. w(without handle and spout) x 6 1/2 in. w(with handle and spout) 12 oz. This beautiful pitcher is in excellent condition and is reminiscent of an old Meissen or Dresden piece. The craftsmanship is beautiful. But not quite as precise as those makers can be- see how the holes in the spout weren't completely finished in photo 3. It is in excellent condition! I have examined each flower numerous times and I found a small chip on the front of a purple flower(on the back of the pitcher, picture 7) I also found a similar but smaller chip on the back of a leaf that is located on the spout. I have cleaned this but it could use more precise cleaning, mainly on the inside. The pitcher is a little off white and seems to have a light brownish wash on it. Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Pitcher or Large Creamer. It is similar to ironstone pitchers. Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers Gold paint trim around the neck. On the handle, and also around the top rim. Some of the gold paint has worn off on the top rim and also the top of the handle. There is a rough area on the top rim where the gold paint is worn but I do not think it is a chip but rather where the paint has gathered. There are 4 tiny black dots that are in the china from the original firing. Two on the outside and two on the inside. I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a red"S" in a red diamond shape and the numbers"1446 and 54" in red on the bottom. I could not identify the maker. This pitcher measures about 4 1/4" high at it's highest point. It measures 6" from handle to spout and a whopping 16" around it's"belly" It is decorated on both sides with lovely blue flowers with raspberry centers in shades of Robin's egg blue with green leaves and stems. It is signed twice, one on the front of the pitcher"E. WALKER" appears and again on the bottom of the pitcher where she has added the words"Hand Painted" by E Walker. The top of the pitcher is trimmed in gold, light wear, but still very shiny) I am not seeing any crazing or chips. Antique Green on White Pitcher Painted w/Figural, Dragonfly, Flowers, Ladybug!
This is the most interesting pitcher I have right now. It's hand-painted using greens and black outlines. The pitcher itself is ornately designed with raised whispy grass? don't know what this style of raised ceramic is called) that wrap the images. The subject matter on this is so cool. Check out the dragonfly(emblem of change) flying over a guy who appears to be holding and smoking a long pipe. Although I've just started becoming more interested in Asian hand-painted ceramics. I don't usually see a dude smoking a pipe! Looks like this figural person is getting high, out on a walk, in nature? Hummm, no better place. On the other side is a beautiful floral and leave design with leaves scattered about the piece and around it's rim. The handle is gorgeous with a ladybug(emblem of luck) under it. I wonder if the guy is the ... moreemblem of'chill' Ha! There is a trademark that I cannot make out and what looks like the letter E inscribed. Maybe that is some kind of Asian letter or number. It is about 10" high, the rim is 4" in diameter, and it measures 18" around it's widest part. The base has one chip. The rim as the start of a crack that does not go all the way through. A very attractive copper lusterware pitcher with hand painted flowers. Please remember this is a vintage item. So it has some minor defects. There are tiny white spots inside the rim on one side, these appear to be defects in the glazing. And there are some dark spots inside the pitcher. None of these take away from the overall appearance of the pitcher. The hand painted flowers are all intact and the copper surface is highly reflective. There's only one slight nick in the glaze near the bottom rim. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its age but my guess is early 20th c. Up for auction or"Buy It Now" is a Marked and Signed"Roy" Weissman Company, Incorporated of East Palestine, Ohio and New York City, New York(Circa 1941 to Closed in 1957) Weisley China(WC) Brand, American Art Pottery, Hand Painted-Handcrafted, American Painted Porcelain" Small Porcelain Artware Ewer Pitcher which can best be Attributed as Being Manufactured and Decorated by the Dwight Morris China Company also of East Palestine, Ohio(1939 to 1982) in"Excellent Plus" Used Condition and Made Between Circa 1941 to 1957. This little ewer has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind. It's only post factory issue is that some gold trim has worn away and picture 12 is a close up of the most worn area. This isn't uncommon to see when gold trim is applied either. It can be ... morefired on or underglaze and it ususally is when it's part of the main pattern, but many times it's a final production step and it's applied cold. It has real gold in it and ceramic decorators use 22, 23 or 24 karat gold. It's always been an acceptable practice of cold painting the gold trim as a last step so it shouldn't be considered poor quality work by potteries and decorating firms. Immersed washing and dusting with a heavy hand are two main ways wear happens and most consumers aren't aware that the gold trim areas need some special care. This piece is about 6 1/4 inches tall and about 3 1/8 inches at the most bulbous point near the bottom. The next biggest measurement is the from the outward pour lip across to the handle at about 2 3/4 inches and the top opening is an oval of about 5/8 inches by 3/4 inches across. Being true porcelain means this piece will be strong. But light weighing about 5 ounces. There's a beautiful hand painted floral pattern which I'm fairly sure is representative of the pansy flower. Unique Vintage 3" Tall Hand-Painted Japanese Porcelain Square Pitcher w/Flowers
Unique vintage square-based 3" Tall Pitcher. Porcelain, made in Japan. Each of the 4 sides is hand-painted in a pink flower design with gold embellishments added. The base measures 3" square, and the top measures 1 1/2" square with one corner tapered to pour. To disclose, there is a very old hairline fracture on one side of the pitcher that stops short of compromising the structural integrity of the pitcher. I thought it might be just a glaze crack, but it is visible on the inside as well as the outside of the pitcher. The fracture stops in the middle of the piece, and the piece has never broken. The piece is in very nice condition despite it, and I am taking the fracture into consideration with the price. To view the fracture, see the last photo in the line above.

Antique Victorian Ewer Urn-Painted Flowers-Griffen Handle-Brass Metal-LQQK
For Sale an Antique Victorian Ewer Urn. There are Beautiful HAND-PAINTED Flowers throughout the glass center section. There is a very detailed cast handle with I believe to be a Griffen atop with its mouth roaring. There is also a cast face on the outside of the spout lip(See photos) The top and bottom appear to be made from some type of Brass Metal with exquisite detail. More really beautiful cast gargoyle-type face in the base. I am unsure of the exact year of this piece; it was picked up at an Upscale Estate Sale. This item weighs about 4 pounds and it very robust and sturdy. It measures about 16" tall. 5" wide at the glass section and has a square 4 1/2" base. This ewer is in excellent condition with no breaks. Chips, or repairs present. Please view all my photographs for further details as they are part of my description.

Copper Luster Pitcher Painted Flowers Early 1800's
This is a lovely Copper Luster cream Pitcher decorated with enameled flowers and leaves. It came with a hand-written note written in 1975 that the pitcher belonged to the writer's great grandmother's sister and was brought from Ireland in the early 1800's. The pitcher is 4 1/8" high and 5" across the top to the tip of the spout. It is in excellent condition today with no chips. Cracks, crazing or scratches. Buyer to pay postage.
