The cups or mugs vary a little and measure approximately 3½" high x 2½ wide(top) 2" wide(bottom) I believe this is called yellow ware pottery, and all pieces are in nice condition given age. There is slight crazing which in my opinion gives this set loads of character! One glass has a sliver chip, I was going to throw it away and decided to add it in case anyone wanted to fix it. on a good note the chip is out of the backside of the tumbler and doesn't show when displayed. It is a very colorful and beautiful old piece of pottery. I purchased it at an estate sale and was told it was Belgian. It is in real good condition with no cracks or chips. antique vintage old pitcher This is a nice looking old little pitcher. But it has some serious condition issues, There are cracks and chips and some look deep but it is still so different that it would make a nice display piece but certainly is not a usable pitcher. The surface has a texture to is. And the raised design of a sunflower on one side, a fan on the other and has an oriental feel. Stands about 4.65 inches tall and about 4 inches at the wide on each of the four sides there is no hallmark on the base and the interior glaze is kind of flaking My mother passed away last year at the age of 95. She had a storage unit she filled with family pieces in the 70's and this is one of them. I never saw it as a child that I can recall and I think I would have remembered it. This is a large. Vintage white ironstone pitcher in good condition. There is a split inside that does NOT go through to the outside. It is a manufacturing flaw. There is also a small, faint one on the top near the handle. There is all over crazing, which has darkened slightly in spots, but no other chips or cracks. Rings nicely when tapped. Antique John Edwards Ironstone Pitcher - A REALLY Nice One!
This is one of the nicest ironstone pitchers that I have sold over the years. Made by John Edwards of Longton. England who worked between 1847 and 1853. It measures 11" x 8" x 9" I do not know the pattern name, but it has fan-like folds and leaves around the spout and handle. Almost a gourd-like appearance to the shape. It is in very good condition with only some scratches here and there, not many and nothing major. In addition to the printed mark there is an impressed mark which I cannot read. This is a really nice antique ceramic/porcelain slop bucket/pail lid. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Has crazing. To be expected with old ceramics. Has 3 saggar pin marks on the bottom as well as a letter and numbers. D6596) then under that(101) as shown in the photos. has green and dark orange leaves and flowers as decoration. Nice little early 1800s antique sprigged pitcher marked ORIENTAL 1
We are listing this nice little antique sprigged pitcher from the early 1800s. It has no maker's mark. But it is impressed on the bottom ORIENTAL 1, and it has the octagonal shape, sprigging, and serpent handle for that pattern. There is a picture of a very similar gray and blue ORIENTAL 1 jug(also with no maker's mark) on page 109 of the book An Illustrated Guide to British Jugs. This piece is 4 inches tall, 4 inches at its widest point, and the only flaw is a small flake inside the rim by the handle. The sprigs on this jug are very well done. Unknown maker since there is no hallmark on the bottom. Based on appearance and form I believe it dates to the 1800's. Lovely embossed pattern of leaves on the underside of the nicely shaped spout and around the handle. There is also a slight pattern around the bottom edge as well. Nice bright white; no discoloration. It is in good condition. There are no chips and no repairs. There is a slight hairline crack at the bottom of the handle. If you enlarge the photos and look at the bottom of the handle in photos# 1 and 6 you can just see the hairline. There is crazing to the surface from age. Overall.
