Pretty antique mid 1800s copper luster pitcher with transfer prints
We are listing this attractive copper lustre pitcher which is decorated with bucolic transfer prints on each side and additional hand painted designs. The jug is 4.5 inches tall. Almost 6 inches at its widest point, and unmarked(like virtually all copper luster pieces) The jug displays exceptionally well, but there are some rubbed spots on the prints, and there is a hairline(both inside and out) beside the spout which goes about half way down the front of the jug. Striking mid 1800s Jacob Petit Bacchanalian relief molded pitcher/jug
We are listing this very striking lavender and white(and gilded) Bacchanalian ceramic jug from the mid 1800s marked JP on the bottom(under the glaze) The JP mark was used by Jacob Petit in Paris. France during the mid 1800s- they specialized in brightly colored, ornate ceramics. The jug is 7.5 inches tall, 7.5 inches at its widest point, and displays well. Due to the deep relief of its decorative figures, there are a couple of small losses(see the close up pictures) A piece of extended arm and hand is missing at the front of the jug, and there is a chip off a putti below the donkey. In addition there is a hairline crack on the bottom of the jug which extends very slightly up the bottom rim at the front, there is a small firing crack where one side of the handle joins the top rim, an even smaller firing crack above the bottom of the handle, ... moreand a very small firing crack on a putti's arm above the goat(see the close up pictures) This is a very striking jug. Cute and colorful little mid to late 1800s hand painted copper luster pitcher
We are listing this cute and very colorful mid to late 1800s hand painted copper luster pitcher. Overlying the white background on the body is a series of brightly colored flowers and an exotic and colorful bird. The pitcher is almost 4 inches tall. Almost 5 inches at its widest point, and is a very bright and decorative piece. Although the pitcher is in very good condition overall and displays very well, there is a flake out of the inside of one side of the spout(which shows slightly from the outside) Please view the closeup pictures and judge for yourself.
