The only history I have on this little 3 1/2" tall pitcher is that it was in my Grandma's china cabinet and then in my Mom's and then it got packed away for the last 15 years. It has no markings that I can find. It is handpainted fruit design. With 24Kt. gold handle and accents around the rim. There is a pear, a plume, and an apple. This vintage or antique pitcher is generally dark-brown with a white rim. But areas on both sides of the handle are tan in color and look as if they were never completely glazed. It features a swirl design. With fruit within an oval area on each side. It stands about 8" high and is about 7 1/2" across at its widest. The pitcher is in very good condition. I see no cracks and only a couple of very small shallow chips. This earthenware stoneware early American salt glazed pitcher is in very good condition for a piece of its age. There are some surface crackling which is to be expected in a piece of this age. I don't know if I found of these without of crackling if I could believe it was real. I have one of my grandparents which is in much worse condition than this one. But it is a family heirloom, so I would never sale it. This piece came from an estate sale and it may have been in use. I am of the belief us keep these from crackling so much since the moisture of use in good for stoneware. Mine is on display on top of a Hoosier Cabinet and it has become more damaged. This is a vintage/antique( pitcher. I am in NO way an expert but I will describe as well as I can. This is a beautiful pitcher. It stands 7" at it's tallest point and is a total of 7" across. It features a nice bow and hand painted( fruit design on the front. The only markings I can see are a C-8264 and a C-8265 on the bottom. You can see them in the pics. I am not sure at all of the age, but I am guessing 60s'70's area. This pitcher is in GREAT shape! There are NO chips that I can find AT ALL! There is some LIGHT crazing but it is/was WELL taken care of. This is just a BEAUTIFUL little pitcher and would be PERFECT in anyone's collection or used for decoration! Antique white fruit ivy design teapot pitcher ironstone Fenton with lid
You are bidding on a great piece of antique ironstone china. White teapot style pitcher with lid from E&C Challinor Fenton. This teapot is in good shape except for the spout and has normal crazing. The spout looks like it has been completely broken at some point and glued. The crack and yellow/dark tint goes all the way around the spout. I have pictured both sides so you can see. There is also darkening around the spout base and darkening/yellowing on the inside but I couldn't see any break clearly where that may have also been glued. It may just be wear. I am not sure but I have pictured the inside as well. I have pictured all facets of the piece including the stamp on the bottom. This is from my father's 2008 estate and antique collection. Vintage gold gilded milk pitcher. Antique embossed transferware fruit motiff
This is a beautiful piece for display. Likely from the 20's/ 30's. This white china milk pitcher is embossed, gold gilded, and with a fruit motif. It is transfer ware. It has a transfer of a group of pears on one side and a group of plums on the other. There is some discreet wear on the gold gilding as you would expect on an older piece, yet is free from chips, cracks or crazing. The bottom is stamped with"Naomi" I think) I have not heard of this manufacturer before, and it was made prior to manufacturers including a country of origin. It is a bit obscure, yet because of it's age and many sought after characteristics; it will be an awesome addition to any white china, fruit motif, transfer ware, or vintage china collection. Klipphahn is a well known Chicago artist who signed his pieces using his middle name REAN which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. His pieces are highly sought after by advanced collectors of Pickard. You very seldom find these big jugs offered for sale. This one measures 7 1/2" tall x 8" across from the handle to the spout. It is marked on the base BAVARIA and has a black printed Pickard stamp which you can see illustrated in the 4th image. The condition is just great. Other than a couple of small minor light spots of oxidation on the gold. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, gilt wear or surface scratches. I don't believe that this piece was ever used. I am told by the agent for the estate that it came from that it was given as a wedding present in the early 1900s and was passed down in the family until now. Here is a real nice pitcher and bowl on what looks like a hand painted fruit motif. Trimed in gold. This is both nice looking and in excellent shape aside from some light wear on the gold trim of the handle. Pitcher stands 5 1/2" tall, bowl is 7 1/4" wide. There is a portion of a sticker on the base of the bowl that starts out with"ART. but the rest of it is removed so I don't know who made this or how old it is(if anyone can tell me the manufacture from the portion of the sticker that is left I'd appreciate it) Payment is expected within 5 days of the auctions end.
