This is a lovely antique copper luster(lustre) milk or cream pitcher from the late 1800's.found in a local estate sale and fresh to the market. Clean and simple lines and wonderful deep blue in the colored band. Pitcher is 3-1/2 inches tall and 4-1/2 inches from spout to handle. Mouth is 2-3/8 inches in diameter and base is 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Overall in very good condition.base shows wear and small white area that appears to be leftover from a sticky tag. Minor wear on the copper lustre floral pattern in one area on the blue band. Otherwise. No chips, cracks or other blemishes on this sweet little pitcher.

Hi. this pitcher stands 5.25" tall and is about 6.25" across. Needless to say-over the years it has lost some of it's lustre! There are places that the shine is gone but for as old as it is- I thought it was in pretty good condition. Until I looked at the bottom. It has been repaired. The bottom is not the original but has been covered in clay. I would say by the looks of the repair that it was broken when it wasn't very old. Antique Pitcher English Lusterware/Lustreware Copper Floral Band 19th Century?
Up for auction is this pretty vintage English copper lusterware pitcher. This pitcher is a beautiful piece but it is cracked. Pictures 7& 8 show where it starts at the top and runs down towards the handle. It does go through to the inside. But it still displays well from the other side. I just hated to dispose of it since it is a cute little pitcher. The measurements are shown in my pictures. New offering this week is a circa 1920 later period marked Made in England small Copper Lustre Creamer/Pitcher to brighten your table or cupboard collection-and it will. Given its ultra dazzling pure coppery solid shine glaze with a thick one inch lower body band in deep navy blue accented by a scroll of more coppery shine flowers borne on a vine all around. It has a pleasing shape with pear form bulbous lower body with an elegant neckline and petite handle with a small flange design. Please study the pictures as I laid it down to show you all angles and exposures. The pictures do not do the high shine any justice here. But it just glows all by itself, especially under a table lamp. The original purpose of the whole copper lustre idea was to ... morebrighten dark coal heated cottages with afforable ceramic tablewares for the period easily obtainable for the mass society of the time. Condition Report: There is a 1/4" light glaze chip to UNDER side of spout mouth only. It does not show on top inner surface. There is a wavy inclusion that has overglaze on rim near handle that is in-the-making manufacture flaw. not an after damage; I just point this out to be picky. The base, handle, body are all fine and sound with no damage. High Bidder acknowledges acceptance of one tiny spout flaw when placing a bid. Pitcher measures 3 3/4" tall and round base it sits on is 2" across. It is light enough at 8 ounces to qualify for First Class shipping if mailed in a small box by itself. Vintage English Bronze Lustreware Creamer with floral band from an estate
Bronze Lustreware creamer with beautiful floral bands in pale yellow design is from an estate sale and I don't have very much information. There is no country of manufacture or number on it. It is 5" tall and 3 1/2" wide at the widest part. There is a small chip on the foot which is seen in picture# 3. I'm not sure of the maker.no mark.there is a black swirl type glaze mark inside bottom. I don't know if it means anything. Measures.3 1/4" tall.opening is 2" spout to handle end is 4" Great shape for its age and use! A few very minor surface scratches.doesn't affect piece in any way. A couple of"minor" spots that didn't get glazed.again.no affect. One"minor" chip or chipped glaze to the left of spout in pic.3 on the lower beaded band. Not deep by any means: Can't be noticed easily:matches color of copper w/out of flash. Pic.4 is a glare spot on handle. Bottom(pic.7.shows what looks like a tiny chip on the rim.top)but it's from when it was made. Inside ... moreon spout has a"couple" tiny air bubble glaze pops. Antique 2 pc Set English Copper Lustreware Pitchers Presented is an attractive 2 piece set of a pair of small copper lustreware pitchers. There is no maker's mark on either. Although the larger pitcher has“186” written on the base, along with the words"Made in England" The larger of the two appears to mid 19th century. With a band of white hand painted all around with grapes and grape vine motif. figural spout and handle. There are a few shallow chips along the upper rim and base, and what appears to be an old clean repair mid handle. Some glaze shrinkage from firing process. The interior is white. The smaller pitcher is decorated in a dazzling motif of brilliant copper colored luster and warm cobalt blue. The small pitcher is also decorated with copper leaves or flowers.
