Antique Washbowl and Pitcher* This is a beautiful antique wash bowl and pitcher dated somewhere between the late 1800's and early 1900's. It is glazed white with a beautiful blue color and gold embellishments on the pitcher; there appears to be no crazing. There is a chip in the bowl which is pictured. The bottom of the pitcher and bowl are stamped(pictured above) It is a very large piece. The bowl measuring a 18" diameter at it's longest and the pitcher measures 12" I will be shipping the piece in two sep a rate boxes and will pack it as if it my very own to makes sure they arrive to you safely. Large Unique Decorated Stoneware Pitcher~Very Nice Vintage Estate Sale Find
Up for your consideration is a very large. Beautiful& unique stoneware pitcher from an estate sale. When we rescued this beauty from the previous owner, it was very dirty& discolored. After removing the layers of aged residue, I uncovered this beautiful piece of art! I didn't even see the gold trim& borders when I purchased it. I believe it is painted to appear crazed. Because the handle is in excellent condition with not crazing. The base color is a pale gray, the designs are a pale pink and shades of blue that look more like lavender. Gold trim on both the top& bottom, with a beautiful gold handle. The base was not glazed where it sat in the kiln. The bottom has a painted circle in gold with either 16 or 91 inside the circle. T. Rathbone & Co Antique 1912 , Earthenware Pitcher-Estate Sale Find!
This is a real find in very good damage free condition aside from some minor age related gilding wear or fade on the top rim. That's consistent with it's age- 1921. It is an earthenware pitcher by T. Rathbone& Co. It says trademark Victor TR& Co I England. One of the wonderful Turnstall, Staffodshire Potters in England. I attempted to show the bottom mark in the last few photos, without much success- There is a swan in blue above a swag banner with the above information contained within. It measures 7 3/4" H by 5" measured straight across from the spout to the back not including the handle- that adds another 1 1/2" to the dimensions. A lovely ornate antique in blue& white for your collection.
