ANTIQUE 1840's ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE BLUE & WHITE SPONGEWEAR PITCHER
This lovely. Large pitcher is in great condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or discoloration. It measures 11 1/2"29.3 cm) in height and is 7 1/2"17.8 cm) in diameter at the widest point. The pitcher is covered down to the bottom with blue sponging. There is a 2"5.1 cm) area of white at the base and on the upper foot of the pitcher. The sponging continues around the rim of the base, the inside rim of the spout, and the entire handle. The handle has a thumb guard, and another 4"10.2 cm) below that. The pitcher appears to be earthenware as you can see this from the unglazed rim on the base. It was covered in a white tin glaze with blue, and then a glossy glaze. There is no Mark on the bottom. This would predate the first registry diamond in 1842. The pitcher shape with the oversized spout and bulbous lower body with ... morea foot was popular in the 1840s. This pitcher was purchased by the dealer I obtained it from in England over 55 years ago. There is a $1.00 charge for a new box within a larger new box and ample packing material to ensure safe delivery. International Buyers Please Note: Import duties. Taxes and related charges are not included in the item price or shipping and handling charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility. ANTIQUE 1820-1830 ENGLISH BLUE & WHITE SPONGEWARE HELMET SHAPED PITCHER
This early pitcher has very defined sponging. The English cut the sponges in a much more fine and detailed manner. This is also called an ewer. When it has this oversized spout. It measures 10" 25.4 cm) in height, 7" 17.8 cm) in diameter at the widest point of the body and 4 3/4" 12.1 cm) in diameter at the base. The mouth of the pitcher measures 6" 15.3 cm) from spout to handle and is 4 3/4" 12.1 cm) across. The"C" shaped handle is heavily sponged. There are double, overlapping, concentric circles on the inside and outside of the spout. The first row of double circles on the body match the spout, except they are not overlapping. The next two rows are divided by two double rings. The two rows have double, multi-pointed stars, that also do not overlap. There is a very similar pitcher in my yelloware book, ... morethat has black sponging over the yelloware, dates to 1810 and was made in Yorkshire. The only difference is the bottom shape. The bottom of the pitcher in the book comes down straight and this one has a"pedestal urn" shaped base. This pitcher looks to be Ironstone because the glaze is not interrupted, but if you look at the base rim, there are two areas where the earthenware pottery is showing through. Also, the weight is substantial, but an Ironstone pitcher of this size would be heavier. This pitcher is in great condition, especially considering its age and composition. There is only one thing, and is not technically damage. It has a light beige stain on the bottom that does not come through to the inside surface. There is a $1.00 charge for a new box within a larger new box and ample packing material to ensure safe delivery. International Buyers Please Note: Import duties. Taxes and related charges are not included in the item price or shipping and handling charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility. Please check with your countrys customs office to determine what these Additional costs will be. What items are illegal to import, as well as what postage fee

English Regency Salt Glaze White Stoneware Lidded Syrup Pitcher Wedgwood(?)
Offered is an English Regency period salt glaze white stoneware lidded pitcher. What makes this unusual is the simple form decorated with a band of neoclassical anthemion motifs in black. And the simple gilt decoration on the body and rope twist handle. I also like how the plated metal lid has a thumb piece with a little porcelain knob that has been hinged, a feature I have never encountered before. There are no maker’s marks, but the basic shape and rope twist handle are booth seen in Wedgwood of this period. There are two tiny impressed marks to the base, the number 12 and a four lobed design, and there is a small illegible red overglaze inscription. It is in excellent condition with some slight wear to the gilt decoration and epected wear to the silvered metal lid, but no damage of any kind. Measures 8” in overall height. Antique English ca. 1850's Pitcher & Bowl Blue & White Moss Rose face on handle
This stunning pitcher and bowl set is marked on the bottom B. H. Co. This company functioned in Tunstall. England, from 1850-1855. The pattern noted on the bottom is Moss Rose. The bowl measures approx. 15 inches in diameter, and the pitcher is approx. 12.5 inches tall. The handle is particularly interesting as it terminates in a depiction of a face. The set is in very good condition. There is one small crack(shown in the pictures) which I believe to be only a surface crack. It does not appear to go past the glazing. The shipping is expensive since it is heavy and will require special packing. Please let me know if you have any questions.
