Antique English Ironstone Pitcher& Basin Washstand Set Victorian/ 19th Century ~~~~ This set features a lovely Victorian Bluish-Green Ink Floral Pattern. ~~~~ I could not find a hallmark on either piece. They were purchased in the UK. ~~~~ This is a nice matched set that has been well-cared for and is in remarkable shape. Both pieces show signs of use and age but given they are a hundred years old. Wouldn’t you too? Please look at the pictures for more detail of the flaws. ~~~~ The pitcher measures approximately 13.5” tall and 10” handle to spout. It does have a small chip in the bottom footring. ~~~~ The wash basin measures approximately 16” across and 6.5” tall. Antique "Meakin" English Ironstone Pitcher - 5 Qt.
This is one of the more graceful shapes I have seen. Together with the lovely reliefwork fern and floral medallion. There is no wear, as shown in the pictures and the only mark I see is a fine line in the ironstone body from manufacture which is under the glaze. The capacity is 5 qt. and this is a very impressive piece to add to your collection or feature by itself with seasonal floral displays. It measures 12-1/2" to the top of the spout; 8" from the spout to the handle and the base is 4-1/2" in diameter. It is well marked on the bottom. As shown in the picture. Antique English Ironstone Pitcher Wheat Pattern Registry Mark 1800's
This beautiful antique English ironstone pitcher is in excellent condition. It has lovely lines and slight traces of pale blue in the original silky glaze where it has pooled in the designs. The pattern is a wreath of wheat sheaves on either side and a garland that circles the paneled upper body. The bottom has an English registry diamond mark. I can make out the name Victor. There is also a maker's mark on the bottom in the ironstone under the glaze which resembles two capital A's. The condition is wonderful. There are no chips or damage. It does have a small firing crack under the handle which is under the glaze and happened when it mas made. There is no structural issue. And this is a common result of the firing process. The interior has no staining. The pitchers stands 8 3/4" high on a pedestal foot, and is 7 1/2" across ... morethe handle. This is a very substantial piece of ironstone and weighs 2 lbs. 5 oz. This pitcher displays beautifully due to all its design elements and makes a wonderful accent piece.

Circa 1840’s fabulous English ironstone transfer ware pitcher w/shells. Seaweed, coral This is a very fine early 19 th century English ironstone pitcher. It is dated to the 1840’s by the shape of the pitcher and the handle. It is not signed by the manufacturer but has some impressed marks: the number“3” and what looks like a chair or it could be a lower case“h” or“b” and a faint mark that could have been the manufacturer’s mark but it is too faint to discern. It measures 5” tall and 5” wide. The transfer decoration is ocean-themed: an arrangement of shells and seaweed on the body and a garland of coral around the inside and outside of the lip and on the handle. Antique White Ironstone Pitcher made by E. Burgess Burslem. England Circa: 1864-1891 The relief pattern is of a rope design It is white with a very slight blue cast, typical of English Ironstone Heavy old piece which has the British Monarch Crest mark with the lion, unicorn, and the latin motto"Dieu et Mon Droit" which translates to God and My Right It has some wear to the base. It has a hair line crack below the handle that comes through the interior as pictured. Check out the pictures for more detail. It has some discoloration on the handle and rim. T his Antique 19thC English White Ironstone Milk Pitcher with Wheat Sheath stands 7" high. It measures 5 1/2" approximately from the end of handle to the opposite end of the spout. It's a perfect pitcher for serving milk and cream in and a great addition for your collection. It's early. I can't make our the maker's mark in a raised circle on the bottom. It's definately English. Condition is very good considering how old it is. There is crazing throughout, a crack on the bottom foot of the pitcher that goes half way around the piece. It is not a threat to the piece and you don't evensee it unless you hold the pitcher on a tilt. There is another fine line coming down from it.
