Antique Redware Rooster Pitcher. 8 1/2 inches tall, 2-tone brown, dark and medium brown, no chips, cracks or crazing, bought at a estate sale in Boone, North Carolina, great condition, the photo looks like there is a chip on the bottom, but it's not.

8" Vintage or Antique "Swirl" Pitcher-Dark Brown With White Rim-Fruit
This vintage or antique pitcher is generally dark-brown with a white rim. But areas on both sides of the handle are tan in color and look as if they were never completely glazed. It features a swirl design. With fruit within an oval area on each side. It stands about 8" high and is about 7 1/2" across at its widest. The pitcher is in very good condition. I see no cracks and only a couple of very small shallow chips. There are some small areas of extraneous color along the white rim(old paint? and an odd area along the base that looks like an old repair(see last photo) Please take a moment to look at the other items in my eBay store!

Has a bunch of grapes hanging from a branch. Grape ivy around the bottom, with a lattice background. Nice shelf presentation. Has some antique damages, such as 2 hairlines inside the front, rim roughness, glaze misses on the white top rim and one one the brown. There's a bubble burst low by the bottom left side. Smoky Mt. scratched in to the pitcher 4"s"s tall to tip of handle approximately CORK Brown/Black with an iridescent color to the JUG/glaze. Probably made in the south but unmarked. For sale is this really neat old dark brown(almost appears black)stoneware pitcher decorated with wild roses on trellis background. It is a tall. Slender pitcher, larger at bottom, smaller at top.
