It is a putty color stoneware ... morewith a clean rich color inside. It is 9 1/2 inches tall. 5 3/4 inches across the top and 6 1/4 inches across the bottom. There is a slight hairline that starts at the rim and is hard to see, starts at top and is 2 1/2 inches long and is inside also. The other is what appears to be a glaze stress line on the back of the crock. As I have tried to show you in last two pics, this hairline or stress fracture starts 2- 3 inches from the top and spiders down like a lightening bolt, as you can see in last two photos, it is not inside the crock. It does reach to approx 2 inches from the bottom of the crock near where there is a chunk chip out of the bottom. Overall this crock is a great piece. These imperfections are not noticable. I didn't even see what Im calling a stress fracture to the glaze until just now. I list all imperfections because I want you to know what you are getting. Chocolate Glazed Stoneware Earthenware Crock Pitcher
Rich deep chocolate brown color. Inside and out, on this 8 inches tall pitcher. The glaze is very shiny. The bottom of the pitcher has felt strips to keep the surface from being scratched. The pitcher measures 8" tall. 7" wide, spout to handle, 5" wide just top inside diameter. The material looks like formed clay. Not sure if it is earthenware. Stoneware, or the material of old crocks. The glaze is shiny and the pitcher looks modern. Not old or antique. No cracks or chips.

Antique McDADE, TEXAS STONEWARE CHURN - 2 gallon Pottery Crock
Liquidating Texas Stoneware Collection ANTIQUE McDADE TEXAS POTTERY CHURN 12" TALL- 2 GALLON CAPACITY This week I am offering Three good McDade Pottery pieces along with eight very nice antique stoneware pitchers. All collected in Texas during the past 15 years and all believed to have been made by early Texas potters. Some of these are unsigned, but experienced collectors will recognize many of the characteristics attributed to known makers. Each is being offered here at a low starting price regardless of rarity. See the photos below and my other listings for details on the pitchers. 12" tall. 8" dia. at widest point. A classic McDade 2 gallon churn. This piece features the very attractive brown& cream, double-dipped slip glaze that makes McDade pottery so popular with collectors. It is marked with a typically smudged ... morecobalt stamp of the the company. This churn is in excellent condition with minimal age and use wear. But it does not have a lid. In 1892. R.L.Williams founded the McDade Pottery Co. the 3rd in a 3-potter, 100-year continuum in Bastrop County, TX- when he bought out his employer William Stoker, who had taken over the old(1855) Duncan Pottery in 1881. For the next half century the Williams family produced a wide variety of high quality utilitarian and decorative wares in McDade. See our other auctions for the other McDade pieces and the Texas pitchers we are offering this week. Buyer pays shipping or the pitcher may be picked up in Taylor. TX near Austin. Shipping includes insurance and we always pack very carefully so buy with confidence. RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp*a4%601gc%3E-1437677bc66-0x102-

Antique Blue Stoneware Crock Pitcher with Pioneer Scene
A real treasure. Circa 1890 to 1907. Very nice old crock pitcher. It is the old blue stoneware pottery with a pioneer scene that seems to tell a story. It appears to me that the pitcher might have a"salt-glaze" finish. It measures 8 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle. Only mark on it, that I can see is a number 10.

HANDMADE ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE CROCK PITCHER with HAND DRAWN STENCIL DESIGN
Offered for sale is a 19th Century Hand Made Crockery Pitcher. This piece was made as a utilitarian pitcher; nothing fancy here. The pitcher is partially glazed and the glaze is crazed. There are two hand drawn brown lines around the pitcher. It was made with yellow clay and is probably of U.S. manufacture. There are some clay and glaze cracks on the outside of the pitcher from the original firing(see pictures) and the glaze which is poured over the piece only partially covers the piece. The intent of the maker. This is a very primitive piece and may be even older than Victorian, we just can't tell. There are no cracks or chips to the piece not noted. Payments must be received within 5 days of sale. Buy It Now payments must be made within 2 days of close of auction. Domestic Shipping charges are as indicated. International Buyers will ... morebe charged USPS rates which will not include customs. Taxes or duties. 1?RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d72f%2B%3E%3B1%3F-1440bc3c04e-0xff-

Antique Big 8Tx9.5W Blue Salt Glazed Stoneware Banded Barrel Pickets Jug/Crock
Offered is a very pretty. Made in America old salt glazed with bas-relief embossed banded barrel, staves and pointed pickets in a vividly beautiful deep blue with a tint of grey. I do not know the name of the maker. But this jug is similar to some large jugs in one of my McCoy Pottery books. Nor do I know exactly when made. But my estimate is 19 th century or early 20 th century. Condition: Ø Good antique condition. With distinct mold pattern, good deep blue-grey color, and shiny glaze and no cracks, but has some glaze pops and glaze skips firing flaws, plus several chips; Ø There are two chips inside the jug and as best I can get a tape in there to measure. The larger one is about ½” x 5/8” x 1/16” deep. The smaller leaf shaped one is about ¼” x ½” Ø There is another chip on the side of the spout. Which is about ... more1/8” wide x 3/8” long. Ø Plus another chip on the side of the jug that is about 1/16” in diameter. Ø The last chip is on the bottom edge and is about 1/8” x 5/16” Ø Any remaining lighter spots you may see are either reflections or due to some original glaze skips. Ø Handle is applied and though may appear loose at the junction. It is not. The glaze is not only pooled into the tiny crevice. But also is inside it and therefore I believe this was made this way and known as what is called an in the firing separation flaw. Approximate Size: Height: 8” Top Diameter: 6” Span Width Including Handle: 9.5” Across from tip of spout to outermost edge of handle· Base Diameter: 5.75” Weight: 4Lbs. before packaging Please study the photos that are part of this description and those which are close-up macro photos are more enlarged than in reality. But make it easier for you to see the details! To help you see the chips. I have placed lime green arrows in the photos that point to each one. If you have any questions. Please do contact us, before bidding or buying. We know there is much to look at and appreciate and thank you for taking a moment to visit us. Be well a
