This antique pitcher is 9 inches tall and almost 9 inches wide. It is marked Statford H Alcock& Co. Cobridge, England. Patent February 12, 1884, Being an old used antique, it is not perfect, but almost. It has a small chip on the bottom edge and a brown crack that shows on the front and the inside. It holds 11 cups of water and does not leak. There is crazing on the inside bottom and some on the top of the outside that does not stand out. In other words, it is not a visual distraction. According to my research the Pankhurst factory operated from 1850 to 1883, with“ Co” being added in 1852, when J. Dimmock joined J.W. Pankhurst as a partner. This would date this as a mid to late 19 th century ironstone piece. DETAILS: Ironstone pitcher. Pitcher is 7 1/4” in height. Base is 4” by 3 ½” oval. The handle is simple. With a“band” at the top of it. Hand painted with leaf design accenting name of husband(W. AcKER) on one side and wife(Mary AcKER) on the other. Wear and condition consistent with use. Vintage White Ironstone China bowl and pitcher by Mellor, Taylor & Co England
I have saved the best for last. Beautiful Matching Vintage White Ironstone China Bowl and Pitcher. It is probably 100 years old and is in wonderful shape except for some very light crazing on the bowl-the pitcher has no crazing. The detail on the handle and all over the pitcher is wonderful. The floral portion of the pattern appears to be bleeding heart. This is a very large pitcher at almost 13 inches tall and about 7 x 8 inches on the bottom. The logo on the bottom says Warranted Stone China. Mellor, Taylor& Co. England. The matching bowl is 15 inches in diameter x 5 inches high and has the same logo as the pitcher. The bowl has the same pattern on the inside and is smooth on the outside.

For sale is an antique wash bowl/basin made by Whittaker& Co(W& Co) Hanley England. This company was only in business from 1886- 1892. So this rare survivor is well over 100 years old. The pattern name is Alton and I have not been able to find any other examples of this pattern which features an English cottage scene with ivy and ferns around it. This piece is decorated on the inside, outside and around the rim. This bowl is stamped W& Co hanley with the pattern name Alton in the center with a number 3 below. There is also an incised mark that says Ivory which denotes the ivory(cream) color of the bowl itself. There are no chips on this bowl. There is one crack that goes all the way through as shown in the last picture. There is also discoloration which you can see in the pictures. Up for auction- antique Mellor Taylor& Co. semi porcelain pitcher/ creamer. It measures approximately 3 3/4" high(to spout) 5 1/4" wide(spout to handle) and 2 1/2" diameter base. The pitcher/ creamer is marked on the bottom, Niagra- Semi Porcelain- Mellor Taylor& Co. England" with a crown. There is one small chip. Overall condition is good for its age.

Antique Rieti New England Pottery Co. Cobalt Blue and Gold Pitcher
Beautiful antique New England Pottery Co. Rieti pitcher in Cobalt Blue(it really is cobalt blue. Just doesn't photograph well) with gold adornment, abt. 5 1/2" tall, abt 6 1/2" from spout to handle. This has the original Rieti mark of the mailed hand holding a dagger in black, this mark was used from 1886 to 1888 before it was changed to the crown mark. This info is found on p. 89 of"Book of Pottery Marks" by William Percival Jervis and also p. 97 of Marks of American Pottery by Edwin Atlee Barber. According to Barber's book, in 1886 they began making a"semi-porcelain ware in colored bodies, which was decorated in an artistic manner. From"The Encyclopedia of Ceramics" p. 413-Early in 1886 they were fortunate enough to secure the services of Thomas H. Copeland, a modeler and decorator, and commenced ... moremaking a semi-porcelain body. Thomas Copeland in a short time produced some excellently modeled shapes, decorated in a most tasty and artistic manner, one of his best efforts being produced in a rich blue freely ornamented with gold. This piece is in remarkably good condition for a 125 year old piece, it was clearly taken good care of. The cobalt is still a rich color with plenty of shine to it, the gold has worn in some areas but still has nice shine, these pieces don't come up often, rarely with this mark, and even rarer in cobalt. There is very little damage to this piece-see following descriptions of pics stating any damage, a strange thing occurs when the piece is photographed, it shows a lot of crazing, but it is not seen with the naked eye(except inside and on the bottom) 1 is the front that shows a surface scratch under the birds on the right, there are a couple of other surface scratches, less noticeable on the left side above the birds. 2 is the back, there are 2 areas of light surface scratches on this side on the right half of the design. 3 shows a close-up of the gold design on the top front, there are weaker and brighter areas of gold but it is still overall

Antique S F& Co Crown Devon Ware Pitcher& Wash Basin This is a gorgeous antique S Fieldings& Co Stoke on Trent Pitcher& Wash Basin/Bowl made in England. They are both Earthenware pieces hand painted with a floral design and gold gild. The basin bears the mark"Crown Devon(Devon" rubbed off) S F& Co Stoke on Trent England" with a crown stamp and"Rono524189" Since it's using the word"Crown" in it's maker mark still. This piece was made sometime between 1913-1917. The basin also has 2 impressed numbers, one looks like"RD634194" and the other I am unable to make out. S F& Co dropped the word"Crown" on their marks in 1917, so the pitcher was made sometime between 1917 and 1930, I believe closer to 1917 since it's a similar floral pattern being used in both ... morepieces. The mark on the Pitcher bears"Devon Ware Fieldings Stoke on Trent England" with a Crown stamp as well. Both pieces are large and heavy. The Pitcher measures 12"h x 8"w(at widest part) the Basin is 15.75"w x 5.5"h Conditions: The Basin has a tiny ding on the rim and has some crazing on the outside& spotting due to the glaze used and it's age. It also has 3 chips on the bottom rim. The Pitcher has 1 small chip on the top rim. Both pieces have loss to the gold gilding. Both the basin and the pitcher both had writing in marker on the bottom. Probably for if they were lost in travel, someone would know who to return them to. I was able to scrub off the personal number that looked to be on both pieces, but left the phone# name and what looks to be an item# there are some smudge marks from trying to remove) Please see photos for details and a closer look. Antique 3 Pc Bath Chamber Set Basin Pitcher Commode Large Orchid England M L Co
Very impressive Victorian 3 piece matching chamber set. You get the pitcher. Basin and 3 piece slop-jar or commode. Made by Moore Leason& Co. around the 1890's in England. Beautiful pattern called'Orchid' in a baby pink and fades into a pinkish brown. The transfer print is the pinkish brown color, and the set has gold accents. There's also hand painted, raised white dots on the flowers. These pieces are on the larger side. The pitcher is 11 1/2" high, the wash basin is 15 1/2" in diameter and 5 1/2" high and the commode is 13" in diameter(counting the lug handles) and 13" high. The pitcher has been broken and repaired on one side- see pic 2. It's a bad break, but the fix is pretty stable. The break is on the back of the pitcher(the front only has the hand painted raised, white dot accents) ... moreThe basin is in excellent condition, just one small surface ding on the side(about 1/4" round) and it looks like it's been painted. The commode is really cool! It's made up of the lid, small basin piece with center knob and openings under knob, and then the container itself. The lids of both pieces have pretty gold knobs/finials and the commode part has big gold lugs with a ray or wheel design. The middle piece to the commode has a hairline crack that runs all the way from the edge to the middle opening, but as with the repair on the pitcher, it seems quite stable. They are all marked England M. L. Co. Orchid. Super hard to find a set like this, and would be a beautiful addition to a collection, or for use in your bathroom. Please email me with any?s.
