Circa 1900 This listing is for an old Coffee Pot made by American Limoges. Circa 1900. The background is a golden yellow fading to pale yellow. Deep brown accents the handle, spout, finial, stand-up ruffle collar and bottom border. Bright Red Poppies are scattered about the front of the pot. The collar, handle, spout, bottom border feature a high relief design. Considering the pot is more than one hundred years old. It is in very good condition. There is a very tiny shallow clam shell at the top rim as shown in photo above. Some tiny spots of paint wear. But no cracks or chips. Even the tiny nibs that secure the lid are undamaged. Large Rockingham Heron Pattern beer pitcher. Bennet Brothers, Baltimore Circa 1900 Pottery/Stoneware. What a great design from one of the best Rockingham style potters. With a perforated spout and deep tankard intake to keep the foam out of your beer! works like a fat separator) This pitcher is ½ gallon size and features a lovely signature glaze. Decorated with herons in a marsh, a bold band of acorns and oak leaves(elon in Hebrew) steer head spout, twig and snake form the handle- this one has it all-except the matching stoneware lid. The lid was fragile and often a victim when beer was ordered by the pitcher) Look at these photos- this is what you are buying. Almost perfect, there is a camouflaged chip off of a heron which occurred years ago. It is almost invisible without close inspection. There is also an age crack in the spout. Made ... morein Baltimore by the E W Bennet Brothers pottery.I figure 1900. The circa 1840's variety did not have the molded tabs to keep the lid on. This pitcher has great wear on the bottom but it retains the sheen and impact of the lovely matted Rockingham glaze. It could be earlier than 1900 or even a little later. Will make a great statement in your country kitchen or bar. Quality stoneware is a good investment.

These pitchers came around the turn of the last Century 1899-1900. Most were used quite often on breakfast tables to serve the syrup for pancakes and waffles. They were normally one of the first items to get broken too. So its hard to find one that is intact with its lid. This transfer ware syrup pitcher is in great condition and it is more than 100 years old. The pattern is lovely and the pewter lid is intact. I wouldn't use this pitcher as its not a good idea to use pewter, but it makes a nice collection piece of Americana history. Payment is through Pay Pal immediately.
