Free shipping. A beautiful antique vintage salt glaze stoneware pitcher. The stoneware pitcher has a raised molded Captain John Smith and Pocahontas pattern. Circa late 1800's. On one side Smith and Pocahontas are standing side by side. The Captain has his top hat in hand and Pocahontas is wearing a chiefs full feathered headdress. On the opposite side they are kissing. It stands 6 1/2 inches tall, with a 5 1/2 inch diameter base. There are no chips or cracks but there is some glaze flaking along base(see pics) This is a must have for any vintage antique collector. My research shows this water pitcher to have been made by William& Thomas Adams(My Granny's Attic Antiques: UK Porcelain and Pottery Marks) They were in business from 1866-1900. Which put them during the"Aesthetic Movement" of 1860-1900. The pitcher measures 12 1/2" tall to the spout. Pattern is brown transfer. Marked on the bottom"W& T Adams England" with"Adelaide" stamped in a ribbon Handle is firm. But I would only recommend it to be used for display Sent via UPS to include insurance.

Very pretty English porcelain pitcher in lovely condition. Brown floral design on white. May be what is known as transfer ware. There are a couple of tiny glaze pops on the body about 4" below the spout.barely noticeabl e. I don't see any cracks or feel any chips. On the bottom of the pitcher is a rather blurry maker's mark that reads"Porcelaine Opaque. Trade Mark" then a blurry coat of arms below which is a word I can't make out, and below that is the word"England" Please refer to the last photo for a view of the entire mark. This would be gorgeous with a bunch of flowers in it. Or displayed in a pitcher collection.

I believe that this is a older piece. More antique than vintage! It is marked, although I found the markings impossible to read, I actually gave myself a headache! What I was able to make out is: WARRANTED BONE CHINA? BROS&CO. What I do know, is that it is a extremely handsome pitcher, measures approximately 8 inches tall. Front and back are both covered with brown and white transferware scenes. Slight pedestal base and a beautiful handle and spout. There is a fair amount of gold detail and if I had to guess, I would say that this was English in origin.

Up for sale is a lovely antique china Aesthetic Movement brown and white floral transferware pitcher. It has pretty large brown flowers and leaves on both sides. And the handle has a brown vine trailing down, and there is a brown branch with leaves on the inside of the pitcher at the rim(see photos) The top portion of the pitcher has a raised scale pattern and the handle has raised tulip shaped flower buds on the sides. It is 6" tall and 4 1/4" wide at the widest point. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. There is glaze crazing from age. It is unmarked. Insurance is included in the shipping fee. 8" Vintage or Antique "Swirl" Pitcher-Dark Brown With White Rim-Fruit
This vintage or antique pitcher is generally dark-brown with a white rim. But areas on both sides of the handle are tan in color and look as if they were never completely glazed. It features a swirl design. With fruit within an oval area on each side. It stands about 8" high and is about 7 1/2" across at its widest. The pitcher is in very good condition. I see no cracks and only a couple of very small shallow chips. Red Wing Northstar Pottery ceramic pitcher grapes weave brown out white interior
Classic. Antique salt glaze pitcher with handle has a white interior and a brown exterior with grape clusters on a basket weave. This piece stands about 9 1/4 inches tall on a base that's 5 1/4 inches across. It measures 5 3/4 inches from the spout to the back of the rim. There is a star maker mark on the bottom. Old pitcher has bubbles and defects in the glaze. Crazing, what appears to be a jagged crease under the interior glaze behind the handle, wear to the footing, some holes in the glaze, and general wear,surface scratches and signs of age, as you'd expect. Check out this wonderful antique pitcher. It is in creamy white with browns and has a lovely shape to it. Approx. 6" from bottom to spout. It has marvelous designs around the rim and down the handle too. Various"cameos" are found- one of a stag on a mountain top with pine trees in the background. We are listing this attractive little antique stoneware pitcher made in the early 1800s. It is unmarked but is of the same quality as marked ones made by Turner and Wedgwood. It is sprigged with classical scenes and is in excellent condition(minor hairlines on the bottom. And a very small portion of the lion's mane is missing) It stands 3.5 inches tall and is a little over 4 inches at its widest point. Really a nice little piece. Antique Brown & White Transferware Pitcher by T. & J. Mayer
Charming old pitcher manufactured in the mid-1800s by Thomas and John Mayer. Of Longport. The pattern is"Non-Pareil" often seen in blue and white, or mulberry and white, but in this case we have a lovely dark brown on creamy ceramic. Non-Pareil" has several variations, and in this case, the river scene includes two fishermen with mountains and castles in the distance. the other embellishments include flower and fern designs. All the transfers are clear and finely executed. The pitcher shows use and although there is wear along the edges. There aren't any chips or cracks or crazing. Upon close inspection, it appears to me that the bottom tip of the handle has been replaced. It's well done and appears old(see last picture) The pitcher measures 4 1/2" at its tallest point. Near the spout, by 6" long, from outside ... moreedge of the handle to the end of the spout, by 3 1/8" deep, at the widest part of the bowl. It has a wonderful manufacturer's mark on the bottom of the pitcher, that includes the English lion and a young Victoria, as well as the pattern name and manufacturer's name and location I did my best to capture the style and quality in pictures. This wash bowl set. Manufactured in England approximately 1856, is brown and white with hints of rose and gold with an eagle motif. I apologize that the mark on the bottom is blurry- it says: Dessin 5968 Depose BWM&C Woodpecker R111657 It is not chipped or cracked. Some of the gold is rubbed off around the edge and there are some scuffs to the edge and center of the bowl. Otherwise it is a real beauty! Thanks for looking.

Brown & White Antique Ironstone Brown Milk Pitcher ~c.1860-1890 raised design
This is an exceptional example of a c.1800s ironstone milk pitcher. It has a thick glossy glazed raised design of a boy-girl surrounded by a border of oak-like leaves framing the scene on each side. It is very well decorated and attractive. I believe that it is probably English in origin. Outside is a thick chocolate brown glaze and inside is a thick white glaze. Where the clay shows through on the top rim(where the glaze did not completely flow) it looks like a yellow ware. The pitcher is about 6.5" tall and about 5" in diameter across the top-plus the spout and handle. It has a unique squared off handle that fits a large hand. The entire vase is in excellent condition without chips or cracks or repairs. The is a very small production pock mark on one side and the handle has a tiny flake or glaze miss on one corner. I cannot tell ... morewhich. The spout is in excellent condition also without a chip or nick. It may have a little wear on one edge or it may by dull glaze in the making. In either case it is almost not visible. The pitcher is heavy weighing 3 lbs. before packing.

This is very large Pitcher which comes from a pitcher and bowl set and is 11.5" tall. It is an Ironstone transferware pitcher in a soft brown on a creamy white body. Since there is no country of origin it was made prior to 1890. It is in good condition with the only blemish. The chip on the back side of the handle this is an ancient chip.

A wonderful Aesthetic style Brown Transfer ware pitcher. It is approx. 7 1/2 inches tall. I can find no makers marks on the pitcher. It has a wonderful pattern of flowers on stems with leaves. The flowers look like apple blossoms to me. A really stunning design. The pitcher does show crazing due to age I suppose. And the interior has a brown residue towards the top of the inside. I wonder if it was used as a vase for flowers. And this left the residue. I did not try to remove it, I will leave that to the lucky bidder who wins it, to see if that can be removed. Lg. antique/vintage signed ironstone pitcher & bowl in brown/white spatterware-G
For your consideration: A large pitcher& bowl set. Ironstone In a brown/ white spatter pattern. This set is signed on the bottom of both pieces, by a maker I don't recognize. I have included photo's of the mark, but they may not be positioned correctly; i.e. they may be upside down. If you would like additional photo's, or from a different angle, just e-mail us. This set is in great condition. We have had it for about 15 years, as we collected pitcher& bowl sets; we are now preparing to downsize to a smaller home/ condo, are selling a lot of our" stuff" My husband bought this set in an antique shop as a gift for me, the dealer told him the name of the maker, but he could not remember it when he gave it to me, the shop was in New Hampshire, we are in MA. so we were not able to find out more, although we originally ... moreplanned to at some point, but never did. The dealer also told him that it was a late 1800's piece, but we have no way of verifying that. We aren't experts at all, but do believe it to be an older set( early 1900's) We also loved the spatter coloring, usually seen on tin ware. The measurements for the bowl/basin are 12.75" diameter. the depth is approx. 5" The base( on the bottom of the bowl) is 5" diameter. The pitcher measure 11.5" tall from the highest point. It measures 7.5" from handle top to edge of ice lip in width, the base( the flat surface) is 5.5" There is a flaw that I did not know it had until I started the listing. at the top of the pitcher is an area shaped something like a triangle that has what looks like a hairline crack, as I said, this surprised me since I did not know it was there) in any case as I examined it further I could feel, then see that it extended to the outside of the pitcher as well. I believe it was broken& repaired, not just a hairline like I thought at first. Also there is a small" chip" or" ding" near the top of the pitcher opposite the area described above. There is another
