Up for auction is a beautiful porcelain ironstone blue water pitcher measuring 8" in height. With hand painted raised black flowers highlighted in gold. There are approximately 7+ small chips within the raised pattern.and a factory repair on rim. These flaws do not detract from it's beauty! This is not a perfect piece. Antique ewer pale blue glass gold hand decorated and cradled in silver plate
Antique ewer( water pitcher) pale blue transparent glass hand decorated in gold scrolls and cradled in silver plate. It is marked Geislingen Wurttemberg Silver Plate on the base. It dates from 1900-1910. It is palpably. Feel-ably'striped' something like a melon. The lid is hinged and swing open to release the liquid. Usually used for water, juice or wine in German castles. The silver plate has minor surface wear. The handle features detailed orrnate scroll work. 1 1/2 inches at widest part. Could use a good polish. Glass is broked just inside neck. All three pieces with white background, small blue flowers and gold trim. The pitchers are trimmed in gold around the rim, spout, handle and base. The tray is trimmed in gold around the rim and handles. The larger pitcher is debossed on the bottom 0.75 Ltr while the smaller one is debossed 0.50. The larger pitcher measures 5.25" X 6.25" from spout to handle X 2.5" base. The smaller pitcher measures 4.625" X 5.625" X 2.25" The tray measures 8.25" X 5" X.75" deep. Tunstall England This company was in business from 1902-1910. The pitcher is in excellant condition. There are no cracks or chips. It's antique white with a beautiful shade of blue on the top and bottom and has gold accents. The bottom has the trademark of W.C. Co. and semi-porcelain. It's faint but you can see it. Wonderful Flow Blue Pitcher w 6 Sides, & Raised Gold/Copper Trim and Flowers
This dramatic flow blue pitcher with six sides is decorated with raised colored flowers. Leaves and copper/gold trim. It is unmarked except for the gold artist mark. The dimensions are: 8 inches tall, 7 inches from spout to outer edge of handle, from inside spout to other side is 4 1/2 inches. The width between the top sides is 3 inches. On the bottom the width of the 4 opposite panels is 2 inches, and the 2 larger panels is 2 3/4 inches. It weighs 1 3/4 lbs. The condition is Very Good. Please note the small chip on the underside which is hardly visible on the outside and a small loss of paint on the left middle flower nearest the right of the handle. See the photos. There is very fine glaze crackling which is an indication of its age. The bowl measures approximately 13" across and 3 3/4" tall/deep. The pitcher measures approximately 9" across from spout to edge of handle. Pitcher is approximately 10" Tall at highest point. Bottom of pitcher measures 5" across. This set is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, breaks. There is no crazing on either the pitcher or bowl. Up for sale today are vintage pieces of art pottery from different makers. Most are from the late 1800's. This is a 5" Pitcher from Nippon, blue back-stamp, circa 1891-1911. It has a beautiful floral design with heavy gold beading, I'm not sure if this is an overlay or Moriage decoration. Inside you can see the artist hand grooves as they shaped this piece. Antique Rieti New England Pottery Co. Cobalt Blue and Gold Pitcher
Beautiful antique New England Pottery Co. Rieti pitcher in Cobalt Blue(it really is cobalt blue. Just doesn't photograph well) with gold adornment, abt. 5 1/2" tall, abt 6 1/2" from spout to handle. This has the original Rieti mark of the mailed hand holding a dagger in black, this mark was used from 1886 to 1888 before it was changed to the crown mark. This info is found on p. 89 of"Book of Pottery Marks" by William Percival Jervis and also p. 97 of Marks of American Pottery by Edwin Atlee Barber. According to Barber's book, in 1886 they began making a"semi-porcelain ware in colored bodies, which was decorated in an artistic manner. From"The Encyclopedia of Ceramics" p. 413-Early in 1886 they were fortunate enough to secure the services of Thomas H. Copeland, a modeler and decorator, and commenced ... moremaking a semi-porcelain body. Thomas Copeland in a short time produced some excellently modeled shapes, decorated in a most tasty and artistic manner, one of his best efforts being produced in a rich blue freely ornamented with gold. This piece is in remarkably good condition for a 125 year old piece, it was clearly taken good care of. The cobalt is still a rich color with plenty of shine to it, the gold has worn in some areas but still has nice shine, these pieces don't come up often, rarely with this mark, and even rarer in cobalt. There is very little damage to this piece-see following descriptions of pics stating any damage, a strange thing occurs when the piece is photographed, it shows a lot of crazing, but it is not seen with the naked eye(except inside and on the bottom) 1 is the front that shows a surface scratch under the birds on the right, there are a couple of other surface scratches, less noticeable on the left side above the birds. 2 is the back, there are 2 areas of light surface scratches on this side on the right half of the design. 3 shows a close-up of the gold design on the top front, there are weaker and brighter areas of gold but it is still overall

Shaw and Copestake Size 2 Pitcher/ Jug#573"SCENES OF THE OLD COUNTRY" Rich Blue and Gold Design. Ca. 1925 This listing is for a large vintage pitcher or jug that I believe was made by Shaw and Copestake(England) Which later became known as SylvaC. This piece has a brilliant airbrushed body of deep sky blue and gold, with a decal decoration on the front of a small village by a river, with the caption"Scenes from the Old Country. It measures 7 inches high, 3.75 inches wide across the rim, and 4 inches wide across the foot ring. The piece is in poor to fair condition. There is a 3-inch tight crack on the front(also visible on the interior. See closeup photos with red arrows) There is darkened crazing on the interior base and(to a lesser extent) on the exterior under the spout, as well as a bit of wear and scratching to the design; ... morethe gold trim is almost complete worn away from the top rim. This pretty piece still makes a gorgeous display. When I first found it. I assumed it was either German(Bavaria) or Czechoslovakia. However, when I realized the marks on the bottom were in English, I did a little extra searching, and found very similar designs with the same marks on ebay.co.uk. They were identified as Shaw and Copestake. This particular pitcher has an impressed mark for"Size 2" as well as a mark for"573. There is also a decorator's hand-written mark 2475.

ANTIQUE PITCHER AND WASH BOWL HUGE! BAND OF PINK ROSES/BLUE BAND/ GOLD TRIM
This is a very large pitcher and bowl that my late mother bought in an Antique store in Jackman. Maine close to 50 years ago in 1967. They were old when purchased. The markings on the bottom of both the pitcher and bowl show only a number 2163 on both. Since 1967 it has literally sat on a cherry washstand in a master bedroom. It has no chips. There is a slight discoloration mark under the lip of the bowl which I took a picture of. This does not show when displayed. These pieces were old when purchased but the gold banding and pink roses with blue band looks great. These pieces look great. Usual crazing due to age of pieces. Shows wonderfully. Feel free to ask questions. I'm not an expert in describing these pieces. The pitcher measures 15" across and is 5" high. This beautiful set is in very good condition with only one issue. See last pic, which seems to be a void or bubble burst rather than a chip. It is about 3/8" long. No other chips or cracks. It also has gold loss but, really, in wonderful condition. The mark is on both pieces, more pronounced on the basin, a crown with a ribbon below, the ribbon with the letters MC. Antique Dresden Humphrey Bros. Flow Blue/Gold Porcelain Water Pitcher (Large)
This stunning antique"Dresden" patterned flow blue water pitcher was made by the Humphrey Brothers in the late 1800's in England. It is the perfect size to hold a large bouquet of flowers and place right in the middle of your table. This pitcher measures 11" high and 10 1/2" wide. The condition is very good. It does have light crazing over much of the pitcher that can be seen up close. There is a small hole in the gilded stripe on the foot of the pitcher that appears to have been made at the time of manufacturing as the"bisque" goes inward like it would if it were soft. Antique Staffordshire Pitcher with Floral Paintings, Blue and Gold Embellishment
Offered is one crudely decorated antique ceramic pitcher. It features orange and yellow flowers with deep blue leaves and leaves. And gold accents. The style is similar to Stafforshire potteries and this piece does come from a Scottish estate, strengthening my suspicion. Unfortunately. I cannot say how old this piece is. It bears no noticeable makers mark. It seems Victorian or earlier, possibly early 19th century. Also. There is no damage in the forms of chips or cracks to the ceramic. The glaze shows crazing, especially on the inside. The handle is dirty and somehow this appears to be under the glaze. It measures 7.75 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide.

Doulton Burslem antique ceramic pitcher, blue/pink floral/gold trim, ~1890
Large antique pitcher by Doulton Burslem. Pitcher stands 8" tall and 9" diameter at the widest point. Pattern is a stunning blue and pink floral with hand-painted gold leaf accents on a cream field. The style hints at turn of the century orientalism. Neck is dark blue with very fine gold floral and leaf pattern. The style of the maker's mark dates it to between 1886-1891. Condition: the rim and spout of this pitcher are badly chipped with substantial pieces missing. For display. It looks passable from one side(handle on the left) if level to the eye. The other side is badly damaged(see photos) Use it as a vase to hold flowers and the chips will be invisible. The glaze also shows some crazing typical to this maker.

Antique MC Crown Handpainted Pitcher-Basin, Blue, White Gold wash ex cond
This is a great set in excellent condition. A large MC Crown Pitcher and Basin with the marks on the bottom of both pieces(please see the pictures) The gold wash is all there, none has rubbed off. It is in excellent shape and has been well taken care of. The bowl is oblong, measuring 18 inches long, 14 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep. The Pitcher is 12 1/2 inches tall is also slightly oblong in shape 9 wide and 8 wide opposite the handle side.
