Victorian Antique Pitcher white Porcelain with Gold Decoration
Small Fancy Porcelain China Victorian Pitcher that could be utilized for water. Or gravy. Very lovely and is dated on base to what looks like 69, in flow blue, along with a symbol that looks like it could be crossed swords, but there are also many more markings scratched into the clay. To me it looks as if it says Ga 152 done by hand and glazed over. There is a very small 30 stamped into the base, as well. There is a very small minor slit from when it was made, as it was glazed over on the side that shows. Was this made in 1830 or 1869? who knows, one look at it and you can see that it is extremely old. There is gold decoration on the floral pattern and around the rim, but some has worn off over time. This is a beautiful hand painted antique victorian pitcher that is signed twice and dated. This beautiful hand painted pitcher belonged to my mother who bought it at a second hand shop in Philadelphia in the 1950s when first married. It was ALWAYS on a doily in the extra bedroom of our home when I was growing up. After selling their home and downsizing. I kept the pitcher for a while, now we are downsizing and one can only keep a limited number of things. As you can see in the photos.it is in beautiful condition with NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. It is signed under the handle and underneath on the base MILLS 68, which is 1868 because my mother already owned it second hand in the 1950s. The paint and gilding are still beautiful! Antique Victorian Tall Porcelain China Tulip Pitcher Vase Stunning Exc Cond
This was one of a handful of antique/Victorian pitchers/vases that my mother purchased and held dear all of her life. She passed last year. And I am selling some of her antiques to offset my father's medical expenses. This piece was most likely purchased in or near Savannah, GA where she was born or Jacksonville, FL where she lived when first married in the early 50s. There are no cracks. Chips, etc. but, like any similar pitcher of this age, there are areas of the gold trim on handle and base that are faded or missing. Also the top/rim shows age(see last photo) Please note that I have not cleaned nor washed it in any way. A gentle soap bath may well brighten that part of the porcelain. However, it does not diminish the pitcher's beauty. Inside shows a little age and discoloration at the very bottom. It has cracks around the spout. And staining to the interior. The smaller(2-3/4" tall) just has a sliver of pottery missing near the spout. Neither is marked. The piece has two manufacturers flaws including a popped air bubble on one of the flowers and a stress crack to the handle. The crack does not run all the way through the handle. There are no cracks or chips to be found on it. It has some staining on the inside bottom of the pitcher. But the outside is in great condition, still having a glossy and smooth glaze finish. There is slight wear to the painted edge of the upper rim, and some very tiny specks on the outside. Other than these very minor imperfections and the to be expected scuff marks on the bottom where the porcelain has touched a hard surface, this old pitcher is still in remarkably good condition. The only makers mark on the bottom is the number 980. It's entirely hand-painted with lavender flowers and green foliage, then accented with gilt trims(also by hand) Piece is unmarked, and believed as being made in Austria or Bavaria. Pitcher stands 7-1/4" height, by about 5" width; sitting on three rounded, scrolled feet. The feet and'rope-twist' handle are rendered in thick, solid gold(gilt) color. On inside rim(near the scalloped top) a'shave' chip can felt with finger-tips, but is almost invisible(and cannot be seen on the exterior) That area is shown'magnified' in photo 9. Antique Victorian White porcelain large pitcher & bowl set
Up for auction is an antique victorian cottage chic white porcelain pitcher& bowl wash set. It is clean and bright. There is a small chip at the bottom of the pitcher and there is some crazing from use on the bottom of the bowl where the pitcher set. Overall. It is in very good vintage condition. The pitcher measures 10.5" tall and 25" around the widest point. The top is 9.5" from the spout to the handle. The bowl is 15.5" across the top and 4 3/4" tall. There are no marking on either peice. I don't know much about this pitcher. It was purchased from an estate along with a collection of mid 19th century relief molded pitchers. I don't think its quite that old, I would estimate it to be late 19th or early 20th century. It looks European, but I can't make out the impressed name on the bottom. It is in decent condition, obviously missing the original metal lid. There is significant wear to the decoration. Please judge by the photos. Thank you

This is a gorgeous piece that came originally from a mansion estate in Western part NJ and the previous owner collected a lot of fine porcelain which some I kept for many years. The Ewer/Pitcher is so gorgeous. It has embossed designs on the mold and Neptune's head by the snout trimmed in gold. The floral is I think a Blue Cherry Blossom and it is handpainted(I have close-ups of the floral on both side, please take a look see) The Pitcher measures 9.5" by 8.5" by 11.75" ... morehigh(measuring at the widest portion of the ewer) It is unmarked. NOTE: If you purchase this item. Please wait for my invoice since I will need to add the insurance(they do not automatically calculate) This is a very heavy item, an oversized package and will need to be double boxed. Antique Porcelain Bohemian Pitcher- Victorian Era
Have you seen Antiques Road Show on PBS? I was drawn to this ewer because it looks like the type of treasure that little old ladies cry over when they are told their old pitcher is worth something unexpected. But that's just the feeling it gives me. I also think it's beautiful. Personal feelings aside. What I do know is that it is a Bohemian porcelain ewer vase marked"RH Made in Austria" It was made by Robert Hanke from what was known as Ledvice Czechia Ladovitz Bohemia Austria.
