It has an applied strap handle, the spout is small and pulled, and the body has a bulbous shape. The outside top was decorated with a deep green drip glaze, which covers part of the handle as well. Measures 3 3/4" high to the top of the strap handle, and is 3" wide across the bulbous body. Unmarked on the base-dates to around 1900. Condition is extremely good with no cracks. Chips or repairs. There is all-over age crazing on the piece. The strap handle is a little off to one side. There are some tiny glaze pops and skips at the top and on the handle. This is a nice group of very small miniature Parian Ware Pitchers. The tallest measures 2.5" tall and 2.5" handle to spout. It has relief two birds on a branch and one flying and a rope handle with no chips or cracks. The middle measures 2.25" tall and 1 7/8" across handle to spout and has relief floral decoration with no chips or cracks. The smallest is 2 1/8" tall and 1 7/8" spout to handle with a bird on a branch and no chips or cracks. ANTIQUE MINIATURE LOT 5 REDWARE POTTERY 2 GERMANY PITCHERS ~ 3 MUGS ~ 1 OK JAR
This is a fantastic LOT OF 5 MINIATURE REDWARE POTTERY PIECES including two marked GERMANY AND ONE MARKED OK on the front and BOSTON BAKING BEANS on the back. The tiny pitcher is marked GERMANY and stands only 3/4" tall. One of the mugs which stands 1 3/4" tall is marked GERMANY around the top and looks like it is designed with castles wrapping around the outside. Another mug stands only 1 3/4" tall and is decorated with a couple on one side and a village scene on the other. The last mug stands approx. 1 3/4" tall and is decorated with a mans head on each side. The little redware jar stands approx. 1 3/4" tall and 1" across the top and is marked O.K. on one side and BOSTON BAKING BEANS on the other side. It has a small cut or scuff measuring approx. 1/4" long which isn't noticeable. I believe the mugs ... morethat are unmarked are from GERMANY since they are very similar to the ones that are marked GERMANY and were found as a collectors set. I've found tiny chips on a couple of these little pieces and I have pictured them very closely so please check them carefully before bidding. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions.
