Robert Hanke Austria Bohemian ewer or pitcher made circa 1895. It measures 8 1/2" high and 4 1/4" across. The porcelain has a matte finish. It is decorated with rose colored florals on the front and blue flowers on the back. Green and crimson leaves with gold edging. It thick gold on the rim. Base, neck ring and handle. The ewer is incised 7551 and 69. It has a red crown stamp with R& H and Made in Austria. It is in excellent antique condition.

Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Pitcher or Large Creamer Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers Gold paint trim around the neck. On the handle, and also around the top rim. Some of the gold paint has worn off on the top rim and also the top of the handle. There is a rough area on the top rim where the gold paint is worn but I do not think it is a chip but rather where the paint has gathered. There are 4 tiny black dots that are in the china from the original firing. Two on the outside and two on the inside. I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a red"S" in a red diamond shape and the numbers"1446 and 54" in red on the bottom. I could not identify the maker. Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Vegetable Bowl or serving bowl Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a blue circle that is hard to read but I think it says Mark& Gutherz Earl Sbad? and the numbers"1446 and 104" in blue on the bottom. I found a Gutherz in the Kovel book but not the rest of the names. I believe that sometimes these pieces were shipped out as blanks and then painted elseware. There are no chips or cracks It is 9"s long across the top including the rim. 6 3/4"s across at the widest part, and 3 1/2"s tall approximately. The measurements vary because the bowl is less wide in the center than at the ends and the same for the height. A Rare Large Antique Coalport Porcelain Pitcher Handpainted Regency Style 19c
A rare and spectacular large Coalport porcelain pitcher. Hand painted with floral bouquets throughout and with ornately modeled and gilt handle and spout. The pitcher was done in the late Regency style of earlier Coalport porcelains, this example having been made in the 1890's, probably a commission to match an existing set. The size of the pitcher indicates it may be a wash pitcher. It is in good condition with some minor issues commensurate with age. There is fine glaze crazing throughout, which has browned a bit along the foot rim and on the interior. This is not severe. There are a few very fine and short glaze spider lines, visible on the interior only. The underside has a similar, slightly larger glaze line, but this does not go through the porcelain body either. There is one very fine and short hairline on the spout, which does ... morego though, but is stable and non-obtrusive. A few minor areas of enamel flaking, the largest on the leaf above the tulip on one side of the pitcher. Minor scuff mark inside the pitcher directly under the handle- this is not a crack. Beautiful handpainted Art Nouveau made in Germany signed Depon and hallmarked ES in script. This lovely translucent porcelain pitcher is pure white inside( sorry my inside photo is showing blue. This is not the case) The outside background is a light yellow chartreuse with these beautifully drawn brown branches with tiny leaves in light green scattered all over. Then there are these beautiful feathery leaves in shades of brown and French blue with brown accents. There is a little black swallow flying by. The handle is art nouveau styled in the porcelain and the pitcher is a 4 sided bulbous shape. The top of the pitcher is fluted on 4 sides for easy pouring from any corner. Antique hand painted eight piece chamber set made by Mercer Pottery circa 1905. The set includes: A slop pot with lid(14 1/2" high x 11 1/2" wide) No chips. Cracks. A wash basin and pitcher(17" wide x 4 1/2" high; 13" high x 10" wide. Respectively) No chips or cracks. A chamber pot with lid(8 1/2" high x 10 1/2" wide) Crack in handle made at manufacture. Large chunk of lid rim missing. 3" x 1" A vanity pitcher(8 1/2" high x 6 1/2" wide) Several long cracks running through the body. An oval section has been broken out and repaired. Can hear the item is cracked when setting it down. A soap dish with lid(3 3/4" high x 5" wide) A 2" x 1" piece has broken from the dish and been repaired. A shaving mug(4" high x 5" wide) A 2" crack from lip downward leaving ... morea small piece missing on rim. A tooth brush holder(5 3/4" high x 4" wide) A 3/4" x 1/4" surface rim chip. Very shapely mold with high curved handles. Scalloped rims and fluted body shapes. Molded scrolls and fretwork in the bodies. Handpainted front, back and inside the rims of the pitchers with blue poppies and pink daisies. Gold scroll work and sprayed daubs on the borders and handles. This would have been a high end set. There is some crazing in addition to the condition issues listed above. Most pieces marked with a crown and shield and Mercer Semi Vitreous in brown. The mark used by the Mercer Pottery out of New Jersey between 1902 and 1930s.

Antique porcelian large pitcher with a corn cob design. Being handpainted with the top being colbalt blue going down into gorgeous detailed red flowers with green leaves. Accented with 22 karat gold around rim and down the sides. This gold trim does have wear spots. On the bottom you can see a faded blue marking but I can't make it out. There is also the number 22 in gold on bottom. There is one small chip on the rim by the handle. Alot of age crazing but no cracking or repairs. Height is 8" and width with handle is 7" This is a piece of true quality as it shows! Does need a detailed cleaning.

There is a raised seam running up the front of the pitcher from base to lip and about halfway up there is what looks like a hairline crack, although it could not be felt with a fingernail. I did not detect any chips, just some minor scratches and minor crazing. The bottom of the pitcher is numbered but nothing on the bottom of the bowl. Antique English Potter Pitcher, 18th Century, Lillies and Cranes, Handpainted
A rare find indeed! I took this pitcher to the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum where one of the curators helped me with information on it. The museum has some pieces very much like this pitcher. This pitcher is 18th century English pottery. Most likely from Staffordshire. Hand painted with cranes, fish, lily pads, ducks, dragonflies, bulrush and a nautical scene. Roped handle, lid and filtered pouring spout. 9.5" tall to top knob. 4.5" in diameter at the base. Stamped with two numbers 12 and 79. Hand painted numbers 4 over 7206.

Antique MC Crown Handpainted Pitcher-Basin, Blue, White Gold wash ex cond
This is a great set in excellent condition. A large MC Crown Pitcher and Basin with the marks on the bottom of both pieces(please see the pictures) The gold wash is all there, none has rubbed off. It is in excellent shape and has been well taken care of. The bowl is oblong, measuring 18 inches long, 14 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep. The Pitcher is 12 1/2 inches tall is also slightly oblong in shape 9 wide and 8 wide opposite the handle side. This was hand painted and has a slight gold wash on the flower on the sides, very pretty blues and whites, very traditional Victorian. Thank you for looking. Please email with any questions.
