She has a black skull cap ... morewith three protruding brown curls. She has lovely facial features with pursed red lips peach rosy cheeks and almond accented eyes. She has a true art deco look and was done by German artists for sure. Both hands are away from her body and holding a mandolin also done with great details. The madolin is not shiny like the rest of the piece it is rough to the touch but is painted brown and black and has a full rounded back. Unfortunately the end of the mandolin has been broken off and a piece is missing. I did not even notice this at first but it is broken and I want to make sure any buyer is aware of this. She is inscised with the numbers 5096 on the back but has no other markings although she should be from a well known manufacturer as she has a Dressel& Kister look. She does stand by herself as she has a wide base. There is a marking inside which may be an artist intial or simply a number as it looks like a 3 in red? I know that this doll was purchased in Europe. She is 4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide across the arms. This doll does have the four holes along the bottom that are typical of most pincushion dolls. Other than the broken end of the mandolin she is in very good condition with no other nicks chips or damgae. Any questions please ask. I hope that the pictures show of her beauty. I do not know the past history but reference tells me pincushion dolls. Or half-dolls, were fashionable in late 19th-century Europe, and remain collectable today. I imagine this doll figure was made in the 1920s period. Millions were made and sold during the 19th century, but due to their fragility, examples in excellent condition remain scarce. The form resembles a typical figurine of a beautiful woman, but the doll ends at the waist, where holes are included in the design to allow the half-doll to be stitched to a pincushion. The pincushion half of the doll may be made of satin fabric and trimmings to resemble a skirt such as this doll has. This half doll is a bisque chalkware type material, painted blue eyes, auburn brows to match her mohair wig, liner over the eyelid with blush on the cheeks, faint pink color remains on her lips. Lovely face there is auburn mohair glued on her head. Light green and gold color skirt with matching hat are in nice condition. A Great lady 1/2 doll for pincushion or display! Beautiful Antique German hand painted tankard pitcher. This piece is in excellent used condition. No chips, cracks or wear, the colors are stunningly bright and vibrant, the only exception is slight gold loss on the handle, but it does not take away from the beauty of this piece. Antique German Cider Pitcher with Lilacs
I'm listing many items this week at good prices. The prices are not a reflection of the quality. This is an old German cider pitcher. It is almost 8 inches tall to the spout and its width is just under 10 inches. It is 6 inches tall to regular part of pitcher and it has four angles plus spout. There are no chips or nicks or cracks. There is wear to the gold around the top ridge(but not gold design at top edge(see last picture) and there is wear to the handle.so it has been used. Its bottom says only"Germany"so that would make it probably from 1920's to 1939. I've used it as a display piece. Because of its size. It will need a larger box and that accounts for higher postage.

Antique 18th Century German Faience Pewter Mounted Pitcher Offered in this sale is a fine 18th century German or perhaps French faience tin glazed pitcher fitted with a hinged pewter lid with a shell form thumb-piece. The pitcher is decorated with a basket of flowers and two floral/foliate swags in shades of blue. Green and yellow with reddish accents, between brown and yellow borders. The body is glazed white with a slightly grayish overtone. The cast and wrought pewter lid attaches to the top of the handle, and opens with a slightly curled shell form thumb piece. This rare piece is in unusually fine condition, and dates to the 18th or very early 19th century. I think it takes roots in ancient Chinese tradition of puzzled drinkig vessels. The upper prt of the stein has a pierced design. So you cannot drink from it the usual way. You can only sip through one of the holes on the very top, but you don't know which one- there are five holes and only one of them is connected to the hole in the bottom. This type of prink beer steins are made even in modern days, they are quite popular. But this stein or mug(since there is no lid and- these mugs produced lidless) was made over 100 years ... moreago, around early 1900s. It is decorated with a hand-painted over transfer outline picture of a couple in Medieval costumes holdoing beer steins full of fresh brew. Antique Art Nouveau German Porcelain handpainted Pitcher
Beautiful handpainted Art Nouveau made in Germany signed Depon and hallmarked ES in script. This lovely translucent porcelain pitcher is pure white inside( sorry my inside photo is showing blue. This is not the case) The outside background is a light yellow chartreuse with these beautifully drawn brown branches with tiny leaves in light green scattered all over. Then there are these beautiful feathery leaves in shades of brown and French blue with brown accents. There is a little black swallow flying by. The handle is art nouveau styled in the porcelain and the pitcher is a 4 sided bulbous shape. The top of the pitcher is fluted on 4 sides for easy pouring from any corner. It measures 5 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches at the widest point. This pitcher is in excellent conditon with no chips, stains, scratches or fractures. Up for auction is a very cute little pitcher or creamer. It is figural piece of a Gnome holding a tree trunk. Some of the painting is under the glaze and some is over the glaze. The back side of the pitcher is not painted. It has an impressed"15798" on the back and some writing underneath the base that is mostly worn away. Antique Rare Textured Porcelain Pitcher Rudolstadt Ware German c1895-1924(P2162)
This is a really unusual porcelain pitcher in a freeform shape that almost looks birdlike. It has a textured finish with bold flowers and leaves on stems in blue. Green and a dark orange. The thorny stems and outlines are gilt and the white dots are enamel. The spout is flared open like a mouth. The pitcher is approximately 8" tall and 7" spout to handle. The bottom is marked with RW in a diamond with a crown on top in relief. This mark was used by Straus& Sons, Germany from 1895-1924. The RW stands for Rudolstadt Ware. This item is in very good condition. The only flaw is a slight rough spot on the spout. This interesting note came from: Using the term'Royal Rudolstadt' in context with this manufacturer is highly misleading for potential customers as that registered trademark was owned by Beyer& Bock from the Volkstedt ... morepart of the city of Rudolstadt-Volkstedt. Claims of Straus being a US importer of Beyer& Bock items and thus being linked to the'Royal Rudolstadt' fame are as incorrect as can be as both never did any business together. In fact the two were sworn enemies as Straus never forgave Beyer& Bock their registration of the'Royal Rudolstadt' mark. A trademark Straus had unsuccessfully tried to acquire himself.

Antique 1900 -1940 German Ceramic Spongeware Milk Pitcher
This is a wonderful old piece of stoneware from Germany. It has a spongeware decoration of deep blue with 6 small concave areas that have a flower created in each. The bottom is marked Fireproof. Made in Germany, 107/5 and it was used as a milk pitcher. I am thinking around 1920’s. She purchased it in 1994 from a very special historical home used for the Underground Railroad: look up Hubbard House in Ashtabula Ohio. Offered for your personal collection is this stunning antique German porcelain bisque pitcher vase. Made by the Sitzendorf Porcelain Factory that belonged to Carl& Alfred Voigt between 1884-1896. They produced decorative porcelain and figurines in the Meissen style. It features a highly stylized form with a lobed base and an elephant handle. It is hand painted and enameled. It has raised pearling and a cartouche on each side. One with a romantic serenade and the other with lovely flowers and a large blue bow. Marked on the bottom with the blue makers mark and"G1125" in gold. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks!
