The vinaigrette has Maker's Mark for Nathaniel Mills. One of the most famous silversmith of his time. The piece is relatively larger in size than usual vinaigrettes are. The exterior is machine turned and has outline of cartouche where one would have initials of the owner. The cartouche is blank, thus giving the new owner the chance of putting his own initial on the piece. The back of the piece has bright cut flower design in the center amidst the machine turned motif. The edges of the box are nicely scalloped and highlighted with a groove all along the edge. The piece has a beautiful floral thumb piece, which can be seen in the photos. The inside of the vinaigrette is gold washed and has a hinged grill under which the sponge with the smelling salts would go. The grill is also gold washed and has a beautiful and delicate floral and foliate design. The flowers look to be roses? and are situated in the middle of the four edges of the grill showing only half of the flower amongst the scrolling foliage. Antique Double Ended Perfume Smelling Salts Bottle W/STOPPER Scent Green Faceted
Here you are bidding on a lovely old double ended scent bottle in green glass. The cylinder measures approx. 4- 3/4" long including the lids and has a faceted ovoid shape. The color is Emerald Green. One end simply screws off. The other has a hinged lid and a small glass stopper. These are almost always missing! I am confident this is the original stopper as it is hand ground at fits perfectly. I could find no marks on the caps, but do believe they are Sterling. This wonderful piece comes to you in Excellent vintage condition with only very light wear. It is in overall excellent condition with no repairs or cracks. There is wear to label I can not make out the name on front label. Rear has R.Y.C. Trademark It has light surface scratches and scuffing. And other signs of expected light wear commensurate with age. The silver cap is quite deteriorated. Please see photos.

For sale is this antique cut glass perfume bottle and smelling salts double bottle. There are residual salts on one end. The cap automatically locks closed and unlocks by holding the button on front. The hinge functions properly. The perfume end cap screws on and off. There are a few minor nicks on the edges of the 10 sided bottle. But no major chips or cracks. Rare Hand Enameled Lily Valley Cobalt Blue Scent Smelling Salts Bottle W Chain This came from the extensive perfume bottle collection I bought last year. And is a scent or smelling salts bottle with chain and finger ring which a lady would have kept handy in case of faintness. This would have either been in her"reticule" purse) muff, or she would have suspended it from her finger as she danced in case of"faintness" This is European and would date circa 1860's and has fine Bohemian Moser style enameling with golden tracery of a web and beautifully enameled lily of the valley superimposed. This has lost the original brass cap which would have covered the stopper- the hinge is still here. But the cap apparently got snapped off in the deep dark past. The blue stopper is"frozen" in place. Sorry. The internal cobalt ... moreblue crystal stopper is still intact. And visually, this is a very pleasing scent bottle. This is a deep. Vivid TRUE cobalt blue, and is the very heart and soul of Victorian scent bottles! This is 2 3/4" from the tip of the stopper to the bottom of the bottle. And is 1 1/3" wide at the widest point. It's held tight inside by a thin coating of cork inside the bottle cap(which is brass) I can find no damage on this awesome piece. The top of the brass cap is marked Germany(hard to see but it's definitely there) It could use a little cleaning which I have not attempted. The bottle itself is made of very dark glass so that it appears almost black. A filigree mount on the front. With an imitation turquoise, has a chain attached to a bar brooch. The screw-on, metal top has another turquoise in it. There is a tiny glass dropper inside. It is amazing that it has survived intact all these years. Not sure of the date, c1900 probably. The bottle& top measure about 1.5 inches.

I am placing up for bid a lovely antique English hallmarked smelling salts perfume bottle. The sterling is hallmarked but somewhat worn. Making it hard to be able to tell the makers name, next to manufacturer is a small e for the date, then a full figure lion, and then the lion face( London and sterling mark)The glass appears to be cut glass without any pattern. I can't remove the stopper. The top of the stopper has a ridge in the glass, possibly to hold a cord? It is a Victorian era piece and from a local estate where the previous owner was from Quebec. English'smelling salts' purse' bottle. With sterling silver top and hand cut crystal glass base. No stopper. No monogram.Approximately 3 1/2" tall and 1 1/8" in diameter. Assay Hall punch marks are: J.H.W-possibly: John Henry Wynn. Lower case: f' for date letter: 1905. Anchor for Birmingham Assay Hall and lion rampant-passant for sterling silver. Silver content not determined. Silver top is hand-chased with curlicues and what appears to be a'whimsical' animal with tail. Below on sides are swirls in asymmetrical art nouveau design form. Base is crystal glass, hand cut all over with octagonal'hobnails' and star and X patterns. Ground off flat on underside. Silver not recently polished. Good condition for age and use.

This is a beautiful Antique Vintage Fan Toi Hand Painted Smelling Salts Bottle Perfume. I am not sure of the exact age of the bottle. It may be hand blown. There are some small air bubble/flea bites on the bottle. I do not see any chips or cracks. I can not see the condition of the stopper as it is stuck in the bottle due to perfume/smelling salt residue. There is some wearing of the paint. It is a heavy bottle weighing approximately 1lb 10oz with the remaining liquid in it. It measures approximately 6" tall x 3 3/4" wide. It has the original label still on it. FAN TOI Smelling Salts" There is a 12 painted on the bottom of the bottle. I did not wash this bottle. I wiped it down with a damp cloth.
