This is an exquisite example of a Sterling silver overlay bottle complete with it's original lid& glass stopper! Not only is it"colored" glass which is more desirable than clear. But it is a thicker overlay sought after by collectors, unlike later cheaper pieces of silver overlay. The bottle is a dark green glass with a thick Sterling silver overlay of beautiful. Swirling Art Nouveau curves. The bottle is hallmarked on the overlay"STERLING" on the bottom edge. The original Sterling silver cap/lid is engraved on the top with ornate script initials and the inside appears to be gold plated/flashed. The cap is threaded inside and screws on& off of the threaded top of the glass bottle. The cap is also hallmarked"STERLING" on the bottom side. Under this cap is the original glass stopper. The tab handle to the stopper was applied to the round base. There is a line where the tab was attached(this is not a crack) These bottles are very rare due to their fragility. Most pieces found have cracks hidden by the silver overlay. This piece does not. The bottle measures approx. 2 5/8" tall from the base to the top of the Sterling silver lid. The bottle measures approx. 1 1/2" diameter. This item is an estate piece and in excellent condition for it's age. This lavender color is so rare that it is hardly ever seen. The bottle is in amazing condition with no chips or cracks. And I have inspected it pretty closely and can't even find a fleabite! The metal syphon tube seemed to short so I imagine a piece of it broke off at some point. I have repaired this by adding a plastic syphon tube on the end so it will now extend all the way to the bottom of the bottle for use. I believe the collar and atomizer are brass and the collar is stamped with"Czechoslovakia" which I have tried to photo for you. I have don a quick rinse out of the major debris for you but it could use a little more detail cleaning. There is some wear to the brass as you ... morewould expect for age but nothing more& still very shiney. It will need a new cord& bulb and I can see no reason it wouldn't work once those items are added. The bottom is smoothed flat and I have left the original old-time tag on it. It was created by Jeanne Paquin in the late 1800's/early 1900's- she opened her business in 1891 at Rue de la Paix in Paris. This perfume bottle measures approximately 3 1/4 inches high from top of stopper to base and about 1 inch wide. The bottle has no cracks- it has some tiny dings. This is a really beautiful antique ribbed glass perfume bottle from my collection. Purchased in London 20 years ago. It stands 68mm x 14mm and weighs 20gms. The top is 18K gold. Hallmarked with 2 eagle heads which is the French hallmark for 18K gold. There is a 3mm old mine diamond set in the top. The hinge works perfectly and snaps shut. It is missing the stopper. Beautiful. Rare and elegant, with faceted glass and ornate repousse silver hinged flip top lid. Glass is hand-blown and a rich ruby red found in decorative glass pieces of the Victorian era. These bottles first appeared in the late 1700's, but it wasn't until the mid-1800's that they were in general use. Their popularity waned during the late 1800's, but they continued to be made until the turn of the century. This item is in excellent condition, the silver carved hinge lid in perfect working order, with only a slight unevenness to the silver caused by opening and closing the lid and a slight patina to the silver. The faceted glass has a few nicks, but overall, it is in perfect shape. The bottle may have been worn around a lady's neck, as was the style of the age. Generally, a customer purchased the perfume bottle empty ... moreand had it filled by a chemist or perfumier, as ready-filled bottles of perfume were not yet on the market. I believe this old piece dates to the early 1900's. But I'll leave that to the experts to determine. The stunning blueish purple cut glass bottle measures 1 3/4" high x 1 5/8" wide x 9/16" thick. It features a wonderful hobstar pinwheel cut glass pattern on both sides. As seen in the photos. It comes with the small brass funnel(3/16" Diameter) as well as the brass atomizer with rubber bulb. Printed on the original rice paper folded insert is Registered Patent applied for. The small bottle has a unique cut out/notch on one side that appears to have held the rubber spray bulb in place. The small brass lever. The condition is Excellent overall. I viewed the bottle with a magnifier and could detect only one small shallow chip on the outer edge. The bottle has old perfume residue inside and at the top which should clean up nicely. The old rubber spray bulb has hardened over time and is no longer pliable. Very Rare 1800s THE LIGHTNER PERFUME COMPANY DETROIT. MICHIGAN"LILYBELLS" PERFUME BOTTLE IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX Age unknown but probably from mid to late 1800s. Bottle measures 4" high. 1 3/4" square. It retains most of its original embossed labels, there is some small chipping around the edges. Just looking at them, the labels do appear to be fragile. The front label says"The Lightner Perfume/ Lightner" and the label on the neck just says"Lilybells" I cannot get the stopper out of the bottle and do not want to force it. The original ribbon is still tied around the neck and it looks as if there is some very old dirt or dried perfume that is holding the stopper in place. The original box measures 4 3/4 long x 2" wide x 2 1/4" high. It is covered with a floral print fabric. Exceptionally well done hand-painted polo players and ponies; the details from the martingale and leg wraps on the ponies. To the players’ old style pith helmets, to the baggy top white jods are all great. The bottle looks to be hand blown. Has a small bubble in the shoulder, and is decorated with red paint and gilding over that. The stopper is ground, as is the inside neck of the bottle. No chips or breaks. A unique piece of Polo ephemera from almost 100 years ago.

Antique Torpedo Shaped.Zipper Cut/Sterling Silver Chatelaine Perfume Bottle. Rare. Beautiful Perfume Chatelaine bottle is shaped like a Torpedo! Sharp glass cuttings.Consisting of two different pattern, of zipper cut decor,alternating,in linear fashion. The bottom of the bottle consists of 6 crystal.Glass panels, Beautifully cut,to a smooth blunt end. Sterling silver.Chatelaine, flip-top,hinged lid with lovely repousse,beaded decor. Embossed on the silver collar,STERLING 942" This gorgeous piece measures. 4-1/4" long. The center area is the widest part on the bottle,which measures approx. 3" in diameter. Exact age in unknown.However the high points on the zipper cuttings,have a sharpness to them,indicating early,and well crafted glass making. The bottle is in very good antique condition. Some minor dings to the silver lid.And ... morethe inside stopper is missing. I see no chips or cracks to the glass. One minute nibble found on one edge,at the bottom,so small,it is hardly worth mentioning. Rare Antique Scent Perfume Smelling Bottle Glass Aquamarine Blown
This is a most rare scent or smelling bottle. This perfume bottle was blown in full size two piece molds. If this bottle were in mint condition it would have been 2 1/8 inches in length and 1 13/16 inches in width. This bottle is the above quoted width with a height of about 1 1/2 inches. With the piece sticking up from the main body of the bottle it is 1 3/4 inches in height. This rare bottle is aquamarine in color with a flattened circular form on each side. On either side of this bottle there is a pinwheel or sunburst design with a large head at the center. The edges on this bottle have a heavy horizontal corrugation. This particular bottle can be found in various colors. The bottle needs a cleaning. There appears to be a little sand and a little dirt inside the bottle. As you can see from my pictures the neck and the lip of this rare ... moresmelling bottle are missing. I would estimate this bottle to be made between 1750- 1825. Despite its imperfections this is a very rare smelling bottle that would make a super addition to anyone's collection. A super bottle. I appreciate your interest. This bottle is a beautiful purple color and goes to a faint purple shade at the bottom. see picturews.as shows the etched signed bottom. The bottle is Czechoslovakian and the jeweled art work is American. Empire Art Gold 1890-s 1930's in New York. USA. This bottle was designed and made in the 1920's. The stones are all present.Green. Blue and pink glass stones. It stands nearly 5 inches tall and is very wide about 3.75 at the widest point around the middle. There is some gold loss in areas of the gold ormolu to be expected. nice warm patina in the appropriate areas. The bulb is ply-able and the hose is there but you must handle ... morewith care as it is likely to come apart at some point from old age. It has not been tested to work. I would not advise it due to the hose. The gold hardware has some gold loss. Other than that. what a find! CONDITION: ANTIQUE USED NO CHIPS OR MISSING STONES. Rare Antique Perfume Bottle with 4 Open Legs, Hobnail Accents, a Must See
As I work toward downsizing for retirement I am selling my life long collections. This is my favorite perfume bottle. I purchased this at an auction over 35 years ago and it was old and precious then. This is the only one I have seen of its kind. The bottle alone measures 5" x 3" and the 3 ball stopper is 2 1/2" Total height of this beautiful bottle is 7" I know nothing about it's origin. It appears to be pressed glass as there are several delicate seams on the bottle and the stopper. I see no flaws. Very clear and clean. Thank you for looking and please check out my other auctions.
