BOXED ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER CUT GLASS ORNATE SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE, HALLMARKED
Description: A fine antique 19th century French silver and cut glass scent bottle. The glass body features an exquisite all over zipper cut patterning. An ornate repousse of rocailles. Scrolling foliate and petite flowers encompass the silver lid and collar. A blank cartouche tops the hinged lid, opening to reveal a gilt vermeil interior and a cut glass stopper. Hallmarked with the wild boar's head, a French standard for.800/1000 silver. The mark was typically used on small objects of at least 80% pure silver content, close to.925 sterling. Also bearing an silversmith's mark, visible in the photos. Likely that of silversmith Charles Murat, active in 1897, whose workshop was located at 62 rue des Archives in Paris. The bottle is housed in the original presentation box with push button clasp opening to a fitted interior lined in green ... moresatin and velvet. Vintage Antique? Silver Tone Small Ornate Flower Perfume Bottle - Glass Stopper
I don't really know anything about this piece. It appears to be a small metal perfume bottle with a glass stopper. There is a raised design on it that has flowers and leaves at the top and just some pretty designs towards the bottom half. I cannot get the top off and would be scared of breaking it to try too hard. So I cannot tell you what's inside, but it doesn't slosh or anything. I do not know if it is sterling silver or just a silver tone metal. It could be marked on the rim, but since I cannot get the top off, It does show some patina. And I wonder if at some time it had some kind of decorative cap over the glass stopper. It is fairly heavy and measures about 2 1/4 inches high. Seems to be in pretty good shape. Thanks for looking. We were told from the estate where we found many treasures of amazing antiques that many of these perfume bottles are said to have belong ed to the women's grandmother and from the late 1800's. Each individual bottle is a different color(amber, blue, green and pink) and has a stopper with a glass dauber; three of the four daubers are broken. The fourth goes all the way to the bottom of the bottle but the stopper is stuck and I haven't soaked it to try to dislodge it. The bottles are shaped in a manner that allows them to fit snugly in their"nest" that is, one side is rounded and the other two sides are flat(see photos) Each bottle measures 3 3/4" in length, and when in their holder, the ensemble is just over 4" tall. Set of 2 Antique APOLLO Perfume Bottles, Encased Glass w/ Ornate Gilt Filigree
Gorgeous antique matching set of two APOLLO perfume glass bottles encased in ornate gilt ormolu trim. One is a flacon. The other is an atomizer. Bottles are crafted from glass and encased in gold gilt metal. Design is French-inspired, with flowers, garlands and bows. The glass is thick and very heavy, with an almost purple color to the atomizer, though not as obviously purple as what it looks like in the photos. There is a pontil mark on the bottom of flacon. The base of flacon is stamped"APOLLO. MADE IN USA" and the number 2887. Though the exact same pattern of metalwork, I cannot see a mark on the atomizer. Flacon is about 5" tall, base is 2-1/2" diameter. Atomizer is about 6-1/2" tall, also with a 2-1/2" diameter base. The pair date between 1909-22. They are both in overall good. Antique condition, although ... moreI haven't tried to clean them as I do not want to ruin the finish. I see no chips, cracks or damage to glass. Gilt has some areas with wear, especially near top where you'd hold the bottles, and a tiny bit of verdigris developing in base crevices. There are also some surface scratches, commensurate with loving use and age. The perfume bottle is missing dauber, and there is no tube/squeeze bulb for atomizer. This set was acquired from my family's estate& is preowned. I have no information about it. I do not know what the holder for the bottles is made out of. Maybe a brass. It is of a gold tone color. There is etching on each bottle& etching on the lid of the bottle in the middle. The bottle to the far left is missing the atomizer& it looks like the gold color is worn off here& there. Also the glass tube inside is broken on the bottom& shows corrosion near the top& the bottle is dirty inside. There is a very fine chip on the bottom of this bottle& also a very fine chip on one of the bottle stoppers on the top part. The bottom of each stopper have some very fine chips on their edges. I am not sure if the bottle to the right is missing any top parts. There's some color loss in some of the gold areas and a dark spot on top of the hat or lid of the bottle. It is about 5" tall. 4.5" long and 2.5" wide. Antique Victorian Edwardian Perfume Ornate floral leaf Filigree Scent bottles tray not included in listing click picture to enlarge I pleased to be offering this antique pair of hand made mold blown glass scent/perfume/cologne bottles encased with a silver colored filigree overlay. This set comes with one round or globe shaped bottle and one cylinder shaped bottle. Both hand made. They have 3 visible vertical side seams stopping at the bottom neck of the bottle. The round bottle has a flared lip finish where the cylindrical bottle appears to have an applied lip finish. The round bottle and solid matching stopper have a swirl mold blown pattern which is felt from both the inside and outside of the bottle where the cylinder bottle has a smooth finish. Both bottles appear to have been made with removable base plates, however, they do differ, ... moreand the casing makes it difficult to examine. Both stoppers appear to have an original fit, although I question the stopper for the cylinder shaped bottle due to the metal casing not being an exact pattern match as well as it being the only piece to show wear to the casing. The stopper does fit into the bottle nicely as an original stopper would. Characteristics of glass are indicative of glass made in the ca. 1900 time period or earlier. Both created with an elegant silver colored leaf/vine robust casing. This could be silver plate or pewter(not magnetic) True composition remains unknown. These have been black light tested and glow a very deep fluorescent yellow color. Another sign of ca. 1800-1900 dated glass, with the exception of American Brilliant Period which typically glows Apple Green. Keeping in mind all black lights will result in different colors depending on the black light properties. I have tested many different types of glass. Early American Pressed, American Brilliant Cut, Depression Contemporary or Modern, Czech, and other European, and can now leverage my particular black light to distinguish, along with other glass characteristics, time periods and origins

Vintage 1960s ornate lady's glass jewelry box and perfume bottle with applicator
An exquisite jewelry box with padded interior and a beautifully ornate perfume bottle. Both with amber glass and golden metal worked into filigree, will add luster to any lady's bureau top. Both items are in good condition and perhaps need mild polishing. There are no visible signs of damage. The perfume bottle is missing the little glass bulb that holds the perfume, but it can be easily and, probably, cheaply replaced; otherwise it would be mostly for decoration on a lady's vanity tray.
