Stunning Antique English Cut Crystal & Sterling Silver Perfume Bottle / Flask
A wonderfully tactile scent flask. With it's deeply cut crystal in a series of star cuts within a diamond shaped lozenge. The glass is a beautiful Emerald green fading to clear at the bottom of the flask. The screw-top lid is decorated with repousse work crowned with a circular cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wished to personalize. The interior is cork filled to avoid evaporation of the precious contents. The silver is of course hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, Victorian in era. The makers initials CM are present for the silversmith, Charles May. Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3" x 1" at widest. Beautiful antique ground glass perfume vial sterling silver top. Marked with the Birmingham hallmark, and the year mark of 1888. Made by the famous silversmith George Edwin Walton flask marked G.E.W Ld in a chamfered rectangle.The cork inside was dried out so it has been replaced with a fresh one that will make this little gem fully functional! Measures 6.8cm x 1.8cm. Please see the small flea bites to the bottom edge, very very minor, and a small ding to side of cap. Could use a good polishing, but will leave that to the buyer as I prefer my pieces to show their age. The shoulder of the flask and the bottom have been hand bevelled and the glass is substantial. A superb and very beautiful amethyst glass and silver gilt scent bottle from France. And dating from about 1860. The silver gilt mounts are finely engraved with foliage. And there is a fitted glass stopper. The body of the scent is elegantly shaped and the whole is beautifully designed and worked. The condition is excellent. Hinge is good. As is closure. The stopper fits perfectly. There are no dents in the silver gilt which is a lovely shade of pale gold. I can find no chips to the glass either. All together a wonderful scent to have in the hand. Measuring just 4" in length.

This is a stunning Antique Ruby Red Glass/Sterling Silver Double-Sided PERFUME BOTTLE in beautiful condition. Measures 5"L. This bottle is exceptional: It is split down the middle with a glass division. Allowing for two compartments. One compartment is topped by a spring-loaded cap: push the button and the repousse sterling cap"pops" open. Both the mechanism& seal are tight. The second compartment is a screw top. This beautiful bottle has an intricate engraved design with ribbon garlands and florals. With one end having a tumbler identifies this bottle as both an absinthe bottle and a perfume bottle. The tumbler has a gilt finish on the silver and the perfume end is also gilded silver further decorated with an engraved monogram and a decorative band around the outer perimeter. Tiny interior glass stopper is stuck and we chose to not try and forcefully remove it. The gilt silver tumbler and collar around the neck of the bottle are both marked with French silver hallmarks. Up for auction is this beautiful free standing pressed glass perfume bottle/ drinking flask. This is approximately 4 1/2" tall x 3" across x 1 1/2" thick and in great condition. The top of the lid has what looks like a bouquet design on it which leads me to believe this is for perfume but it could be used for alcohol if desired. The lid fits tight and is lined on the inside with cork. The glass does have an air bubble and some slight wear on the high point of the body which you really have to look for to see.
