The screw on lid is made of brass filigree with the original crystal glass dauber and has a large jeweled, crystal rhinestone set in the top. The bottom is finely ground, a sign of excellent quality glass, with only light wear from use and age. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! For auction is a unique Ruby Red Glass Perfume Bottle. It is unique because the outer layer of glass is clear and the inner glass layer of the bottle is red. It has a delicate hand painted gold design applied to the entire bottle. It looks like one continuous wavy gold line all around the bottle. There are some small areas where the golden lines are rubbed& showing more wear. I believe this would be c. late 1800's and possibly a Moser piece of art glass. It has a solid. Quality feel to it. The cap is thick brass and perhaps has a few teeny dents. The hinge is intact and works great. There is no longer an internal glass stopper which is not uncommon for bottles 100+ years old. There is small white inclusion inside the glass which I tried to show in photo ten. ... moreNot quite sure what it is. The bottle is smooth on the outside. No chips cracks or repairs to the bottle and the brass collar with cap are secure to the bottle. If I missed anything it would have to be something very, very tiny. The bottle is 4 1/4 inches tall from table to the top of the brass domed cap. The base is rectangular, 1 7/8 by 5/8 inches. I am always partial to the ruby colored bottles and this is especially lovely with it's intricate gold design. Be sure to get in a bid!
