Antique Wrought Iron Bird Cage With ALL PIECES!!!! IN PERFECT CONDITION!!!!
Antique Wrought Iron Bird cage from what reseach I've done it's AT LEAST approaching 40+ years old. Its in perfect condition. Every piece of iron is still on the cage. There is no bent places or smashed in metal nothing of the sort. It comes in two pieces. First there is the stand which is right around 5 feet tall. Then you have the cage which is square with a dome on top. The dimensions are. The stand is 64 inches tall, the cage itself is appoxiamately 26 inches to the top of the dome and 18 inches wide. There is no rust to deal with and the door still opens as if brand new. I have seen MANY similiar bird cages go on here for up to $600. I could not take no less than $250 for this beautiful piece that will last as long as my grandchildern's grandchildren.

The overall measurement of this large Chandelier is 25” tall including the S-hook at the top by 32” in diameter between the outside drip pans under the candle sockets. If you search the net you will find examples of this wrought iron fixture being sold for authentic. Circa 1800 to 1825, or so, and American in origin. Shovel is 30" long with a 7 5/8" long by 5 1/8" wide shovel blade made of sheet iron with folded corners that were riveted together, as pictured. The heavy cast brass handle is 5 7/8" long and 1 7/8" in diameter at the ball top. Condition is excellent with great patina from age, and it is still useful today if you have a fireplace. This is part of an old New England antiques collection formed over decades. This auction is for Two Wrought-Iron stair-way Railing assemblies left& right sides.These railings were custom made in 1970 by C& C railings and custom metal works in Hazleton Penna.for my Parents home.The house was eventually sold and demolition was to take place so I removed them.The railings come with all the hardeware.Each newel post uses 4 large screws for hold down.Each ballister fits into a little foot with 2 smaller screws for hold down.And 2 one for each side lag bolts holds the top of the railing to the wall up-right board.The type stairway needed is to be open on both sides for the last four steps then the fifth step would be the landing then a turn to the left and right then two more steps.These Railings are in excellent condition no rusting.Each newel post has a solid brass finial on top.If you have any questions please ... moreask. Fine example of an 18th century colonial period fireplace/hearth accessory vital to the daily tasks performed by a period cook. For a notably similar example please see those illustrated in George Nuemann’s“Early American Antique Country Furnishings” As the temperature of a cooking hearth could only be manipulated by the size of the fire. A trammel such as this was an essential means for regulating the heat exposure to various pots and kettles. The larger end ring/bar attached to the chain would have been attached on the interior of a stone chimney. Being looped over an iron bracket or pole built into the masonry, allowing the links of the chain to hang below. The bottom support hook is formed with a rung that would accommodate the handle of the various cookware put before the flames. Adjacent to this hook is a smaller hook/hasp that would act to fit itself on one of the various forged iron rings. Thus adjusting the size of the trammel and the distance the various kettle/pot would be from the flame; allowing for better temperature regulation. All hand blacksmith made. This period 1750-1790 trammel shows excellent signs of colonial era craftsmanship, each of the individual rings being hand forged and assembled. Overall the piece is in near excellent condition. This beautiful antique firescreen has a frame and filigree scroll work of hand hammered wrought iron. At the base of the screen there is scenery made of sheet metal. On the left panel. At the bottom there is a small house siting adjacent to a wind mill on a bluff. The lower edge of the main center panel has from left to right a small evergreen tree, a cabin, a tall evergreen tree, in the center there are two deer facing each other, then another tall evergreen tree, then there is a small boat with two people fishing. At the bottom of the right side panel there are two trees, one a small evergreen sapling, and a larger tree with a silhouette of ... morea bird. Along the top edge of the frame there is some delicate beautifully wrought scroll work, and two long tailed birds facing inward. Along the top curved edge of the screen are two handles. At the the bottom outside corners of the screen are two very ornately scrolled feet to keep the screen upright and stable. The main panel of the screen measures 29 inches wide. By 34 1/2 inches tall. The side panels are both 8 inches wide, by 28 inches tall. This screen weighs approximately 25 pounds. Condition- The condition of this piece is excellent. Antique Black Victorian 1881 Wrought Iron Holder and Glass Oil Lamp You are bidding on a beautiful wrought iron holder with the glass kerosene oil lamp and mount. It is in very good condition an d mounts to the wall beautifully. It does have a small part that looks like it b roke off a t one time at the tip. The third picture show s the ver y high est tip of the wrought iron is flat. It possibly was made that way. But I am not sure. It measures approx. 12" long and 8" tall. It reads"PAT' D JUNE 1 1881" which is imprinted in the wrought iron(see third pic) The glass oil lamp is in very good condition and free from chips or cracks. We recently renovated our windows with some lovely wrought iron window furniture. The fasteners were supplied with hook plates and mortice plates. Allowing the casement fasteners to be secured onto both flush and recessed window openings. We only needed the mortice plates and so now have these hook plates going spare. 1 Hand Wrought Large Antique 17th 18th C Primitive Iron Skeleton Lock Key
5" Long 1 1/4" Wide 1 nice example of a hand forged key dating from the mid to late 18th century. Circa 1740-1780. This piece has been expertly formed by a period smith with some nice variation and detail making it slightly unique. Large format keys such as this were commonly paired with large door and gate locks. Many associate them with the large box locks used on heavy scale jailer locks of the period. As mentioned there is some slight variation and some slight rust from age. But overall very solid. This over sized example makes a great example for any display or collection. Antique "1800s" Hanging Wrought Iron Skewer Holder-Marked TS
Up for auction is an iron skewer holder. When I purchased this piece at auction I was told it was of the 1800s. This has a simple design. Allowing you to hang skewers on each end. This would look great hug in your kitchen on display to add some simple decor. The uneven construction and organic shape gives this piece some nice patina. And will make a great addition to your collection. The upper portion is marked'TS' I am unsure what it stands for. This hanger measures 5" long and the hook portion measures 5 1/2" across. Fabulous & rare 18th C hand wrought iron warming pan trivet
So incredibly delicately made she stands as a virtual sculpture. the absolute essence of the iron workers art of the period. And. There are no apologies, despite its age. ca 1770 judging by its form. no repairs, rust, weakness or corrosion at the wonderfully formed feet. Notice, moreover, the top Y-bars are recessed so that the top ring would encompass a sufficiently small pot or pan. Too delicately made to be set within the fireplace, she was obviously intended at a 2-layer warming trivet, but today she's the perfect plant stand for the country kitchen, standing 14 3/4" tall, with an 8 1/2" diameter top ring. It is indeed a rarity to find such a piece in such condition and with such elegance of form. Nevertheless, she's being offered without reserve, though buyer pays $16 for domestic USPS shipping.

NEEDS SOME CLEANING AND REWIRING. Electric Candle Cover in the center is chipped around the edge and has black paint spray on it as well as black paint spray on the Light bulb also. DESCRIPTION: This is really a superb old vintage Gothic- midieval style iron sconce. Made in France around 1920-1930 I guess. It has still bakelite fittings. Very nice and heavy quality, all made by hand. It is heavy, 2.350 Kg and quite large also: 18.75" by 16.50" All hand made! Simple ... morein fact but just therefor very nice. The backside is made out of 1 piece of heavy iron, The fleur de Lys is cut out by hand! Even the little opening to hang it on the wall is cut out, there are 6"knobs" and they are pushed from the back to the front to make the design look nice, repousse. In the middle is a hand made piece of iron that is holding the 2 arms. It looks a bit like a scale. These arms are very nicely done in wrought iron, all by hand aswell, look at the curls at the end of the arms. They are just amazing. They go from a wider curl to a very fine one, and this in that kind of heavy metal, it is for sure made by an old master blacksmith. The electrical wire is on the outside of the candleholders, so it will be easy to rewire or just take them all out to put some bigger candles, The opening for a candle is quite large: 1.75" The wall light shows some rusty spots they come through the old paint.
