ANTIQUE 19th C VICTORIAN Carved Walnut Wood Crest VTG FURNITURE PARTS PEDIMENTS
ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN CARVED WALUT WOOD CREST or FURNITURE PEDIMENT PARTS Two beautiful. Old, Victorian Wood Pieces that go together nicely, and form a crest, or just to use as parts. They are carved from Walnut with very ornate carved flowers and leaves that are carved all the way through. They both have a scalloped top and plain back. This was probably part of a settee or large chair, perhaps a chaise lounge, because it has holes where upholstery tacks were(see photos) Also, on each end there are holes for dowels(the photos show both pieces put together like an arch way(they would have to be doweled again or glued to stay this way) These beautiful pieces of wood each measure approximately 13 1/2" high x 12" across. So, together, they would measure about 24" across. The wood is about 1 3/16" thick. This very ... moredecorative wood is in good condition but would need some refinishing or painting and a little restoration where the dowel holes and upholstery tack holes are. There are the usual minor nicks, from age and use, but no loss to the carving. Two beautiful old pieces of Victorian craftsmanship! Being offered as is and with No Reserve. Today these elements are used all around the home. over doorways or hung on a wall. Condition is very good. Original patina. No cracks. This is one small piece missing on the left overlay. There is a miniscule amount of paint smudge on the top. It will easily blot off with denatured alcohol. There are two(not-original screw) holes on the top from it being mounted over a doorway. This beautiful piece measures 47 3/4" wide. It is 4 15/16" tall at the tallest center point. It is 1 1/2" deep at the top. The bottom rim is only 7/8" deep(where it attached originally. ANTIQUE HAND CARVED OAK WOOD 18th 19th Century VINTAGE FURNITURE ARCHITECTURAL PEDIMENT An incredible. Hand carved, antique furniture or architectural pediment from the 1700's to early 1800's. The wood appears to be oak but I'm not positive. It still has that wonderful old patina to the wood. It measures approximately 23" long x about 11 1/2" high and the thickest part of the wood is about 2" at each end with the flowers) The wood is split down the middle of the wreath, there are some chips(or missing) to the leaves that stick out on the sides, and there is part of the ribbon missing above the wreath. There may be other spots of chipped wood, but nothing that noticeable. Despite the flaws, this is a very old hand carved wooden pediment to display and enjoy! It is still awesomely beautiful. 2 Antique Wood Pediments Furniture Pieces? Could Use For Shelf Brackets WOW- went to my favorite flea market this weekend and found some awesome treasures for you- I’ll be listing all week. So keep checking! I'm not quite sure what these two beautiful pieces came from. But I took one look, and I saw some beautiful make do shelf brackets- don't you agree? Each one is made of solid wood, and I do believe that it is oak, although the patina is so dark, check out and see what you think. They are exact matches in size and style- and if you decide to use them as shelf brackets, each would sit with the design side out as I have in photo 4. They both have a scrolly raised design on the outside that is very art nouveau to me, and they measures each 4 1/4" wide by 3/4" thick at the top/wide end, 2 1/2" by 3/4" thick at the ... moreshort end/bottom, and 5 7/8" tall. Each one weighs 1/2 lb. They are in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally, with a fair amount of wear in scratches, scrapes, nicks, dings and cracks that do not move, in addition to general finish wear. Both have a hole on the long back end(the 5 7/8" side) that goes all the way through, but no hole on the top, so you would need to create one to affix to your shelf. The finish shows alligatoring from age, and the patina is dark and rich- please supersize and look at all. The decorated side, the short bottom, and the front side that follows the curve of the pieces are finished the same, while the opposite side of the decorated side, the flat back side and the 4 1/4" long top side are stained, but don't appear to be varnished. I'm showing in photos 17& 18 that there's a 1" by 1/4" chip/surface crack at the long top flat side of one of them- it's close to the screw hole that's there, and there's no movement by it at all- and I pressed pretty hard, so it is secure. I think they are two lovely old pieces, that deserve another chance at life. To a good home only. Customer satisfaction

ANTIQUE WALNUT VICTORIAN SPOON CARVED VINTAGE FRETWORK CORNICE FURNITURE PEDIMENT A lovely. Antique, Eastlake Victorian furniture pediment that appears to be made out of walnut. It has spoon carved decoration with has traces of gold still inside. There are spools that decorated each side and woodwork that looks like a crown. This lovely furniture pediment measures approximately 48" long x 6 1/4" high on each end and about 6 1/2" in the middle. There is about a 3" slope from the top flat part, down to the front of the spools. It appears that the blocks, in the middle next to the spools, were added recently. One of the points of the crown, in the middle, is missing and the scallop on one end is missing the top. A couple of other scallops have some damage to the wood that is not really that noticeable. There is a metal ring ... moreon each side for hanging, two screws in the back that were probably used to attach it to a piece of furniture, and the front has two nails in the wood, where someone must have hung something. One of the spools has a broken part that was probably done when the new block was added(not noticeable) Despite the flaws, this is still a very beautiful, antique, Victorian Cornice that will look great being hung and enjoyed.
