Antique Vintage East Lake Victorian Walnut Wood Pediment 32 3/4" X 9 3/4"
You are bidding on a Vintage Antique East Lake Victorian Wood Wooden Pediment. The piece measures 32 3/4" long and 9 3/4" tall at the tallest point. The top piece is about 2 1/2" thick and the rest of the piece is about 3/4" thick. It has an eye hook on the back for hanging that was there when I got it. It is in overall very good condition. There is some burl on the front although it looks like it might be missing on the left side as you look at it. It is really hard to tell with the dark staining. It shows age appropriate wear but I do not see any cracks. Chips or breaks. There is some crazing on the middle piece and some minor crazing on the right side. The right side looks like the burl is raised on a place about 1" across and 2" tall. This would look great hanging on your wall, above the door or on top of ... morea wonderful victorian mirror. It is old and used and is not in perfect condition. I am not an expert so please examine the pictures and determine condition for yourself. Authentic. Circa 1870s piece with original square nails! I believe it is made of walnut with a wonderful raised, burled walnut panel in the center. Eastlake spoon carving on burled panel. Raised, carved flowers near each end. Repeating xx trim along top. It even has matching turned finials on top. Convenient, old, hanging wire attached in back. ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN CARVED WALUT WOOD CREST or FURNITURE PEDIMENT PARTS Two beautiful. Old, Victorian Wood Pieces that go together nicely, and form a crest, or just to use as parts. They are carved from Walnut with very ornate carved flowers and leaves that are carved all the way through. They both have a scalloped top and plain back. This was probably part of a settee or large chair, perhaps a chaise lounge, because it has holes where upholstery tacks were(see photos) Also, on each end there are holes for dowels(the photos show both pieces put together like an arch way(they would have to be doweled again or glued to stay this way) These beautiful pieces of wood each measure approximately 13 1/2" high x 12" across. So, together, they would measure about 24" across. The wood is about 1 3/16" thick. This very ... moredecorative wood is in good condition but would need some refinishing or painting and a little restoration where the dowel holes and upholstery tack holes are. There are the usual minor nicks, from age and use, but no loss to the carving. Two beautiful old pieces of Victorian craftsmanship! Being offered as is and with No Reserve. INCREDIBLY HARD PIECE TO FIND! If you are lucky to find something similar at an architectural salvage business. Rest assured, it will be priced over $1000. This is a genuine, Victorian era, window cornice. Still has old hooks and loops in back. Especially striking is that this walnut piece has no less than 3 stain colors! Antique Victorian 16.5" English Wooden Shell Motif Pediment Walnut / Mahogany
This is an Antique/ Vintage 16 1/2" Wooden Shell Motif Pediment. The pediment was purchase in England. We assume it was probably made there. But we do not know for sure, nor do we know specifically what its age is, but appears to us to likely be 19th Century Victorian era piece. The pediment definitely appears to be hardwood. The appearance of the grain strongly suggests the wood in probably walnut but it could possibly be mahogany or other hardwood. The pediment a great looking piece with a graceful. Very deeply carved shell design. We do not know for sure what specific type of piece it was originally part of. The measurements of the pediment excluding the 3/8" pad at the top center and the two pegs on the bottom are 16 1/2" wide x 6 1/4" high x 3 11/16" wide. The pediment is built up from three layers of wood as ... moreseen in the photo of the top. The pad on top is 3/8" tall with a 7/8" deep x 7/8" diameter hole where the peg for a finial was inserted. As found. The finial was no longer present and the pediment is offered as found in that regard. The two pins on the bottom are 3/4" long x 3/4" in diameter. The pins are on 11 1/4" centers. The pediment is a very solid. Substantial piece and it weighs about three pounds. Condition The pediment is in excellent condition with beautiful. Uniform finish, and no chips or other damage. The only, very, very minor issue I noticed is a couple of tiny circular white paint droplets on the back as seen on the photo of the back. Original. Solid walnut, architectural header. Saw tooth trim along the bottom with railing along the top. Nice, Eastlake spoon carved pinwheels to the left and right with classic center flower and leaves in the middle. Parallel grooved trim both vertical and horizontal everywhere, including those that go around to the side views. Except for an imperfect finish, it is in wonderful condition with no breaks, repairs, or missing pieces. Great chance to steal a bargain on a high quality piece! Early 1900's walnut pediment. From the top of a mirror. Or bed, possibly from over a door or window. Solid walnut. And walnut burl. 51" long 18" height 2" cove moulding extends out from wall: 6" Beautiful ogee cove moulding. Separate key centerpiece with carved detailing. The bottom is flat. Has no wooden pegs or holes. Will not stand on its own. It is top heavy from the centerpiece that extends outward. Condition consistent with age. Giant. Antique, architectural panel. Solid walnut construction and guaranteed an authentic, Victorian era piece. It has thick, bevelled trim along the bottom and raised bevelled panels far left and right. 2 vertical, fluted columns have contoured bases and round medallions at top. In the middle is a leafy carving with another raised, bevelled panel surrounding it. Above the beveled cornice trim is a dramatic sunrise decoration. This whopper measures 38 1/2 inches wide and just over 22 3/4 inches tall. The very top looks like it is missing something and the far right area has a darker patina. Gorgeous Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Architectural PEDIMENT Crest Crown
ANTIQUE CARVED PEDIMENT CREST Striking antique Victorian carved walnut dresser. Mirror or bed pediment crest measuring 28-1/2" long, about 16" tall and about 1-5/8" deep at the thickest point. Featuring simple carved and stylized graduated arms on each side edge, center is finished with two incised leaves around a tiered floral mount- an applied crown or crest completes the top. The peak is pierce carved with a charming heart design- crest is made of two pieces that are block mounted with an overlap creating an almost three-dimensional effect. Condition is very nice with no cracks. Discoloration, worm holes or damage- it may have a few tiny scuffs or rubs and some age related usage wear, but has been hanging on my bedroom wall over a large cheval mirror for years and other than cased dust, it is in wonderful shape!
