I'found' this in my barn- hanging in the rafters were I was placing gable ... morepediments. I thought for the longest time I had this piece listed- but alas it was not. I bought this piece about 5 or 6 years ago. Has a great checkered design in the triangle pediment area- the green paint is creak. Nice crackled finish. The top of the peak is unpainted- it must have been covered as the green paint was NEVER applied to the piece. The bottom edge needs to be trimmed- it has some soft spots on it- I tried to capture this in the pictures. I would estimate about 1 to 1.5" needs to be trimmed on the bottom edge for a smooth. Even edge. Measures 108.5" long is 39" at peak& 8.5" deep. Old square nails are studding the backside also. Has metal flashing on top edge. Wonderful size for headboard- over a door way or mantle- could also be re-used for a functional purpose to dress up a home or barn! Will need to send with our delivery service- $200-300. This is a very nice broken arch style pediment with gesso or composition trim. It measures 26 1/2" wide. 23 1/2" wide at the very bottom x 9 1/4" high. Beautiful Old Gilt Angel Head & Wings Molded Vintage Architectural Trim 5" x 10"
This is a beautiful piece of architectural trim. Perhaps from above a Victorian door or window, or from a large mirror or picture frame. It measures almost 10" across and 5" high. The angel has long flowing hair, a cloth drape across its chest, and the face is lovely. The wings have been repaired, and there are several places at the lower edge that are unpainted and appear to have missing pieces, and one in the center bottom that has been touched up with gold paint. Except for this touch-up, the paint is old and appears to be original. It is not carved, but rather molded from some sort of wood-like material, similar to molded sawdust. This is a very old piece, and the repairs are visible, but look pretty good from the front, although they can be clearly seen from the back. Antique wood carved pediment crest trim piece 22" long This is a beautiful original antique carved wood pediment The pieces measures 22" wide by 4-5/8" tall by 1-1/4 inch thick across the bottom There are holes across the bottom and top for attachment. I'm not sure what the wood is. The condition is good. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs to the pieces. There are some scratches.
