Four Antique Claw and Glass Ball Table Chair Legs Eagle Feet Cast Iron Faces
Description Set of 4 antique cast iron and glass claw and ball feet. They are 6" tall with 3" diameter glass balls. The hole at the top is 1 3/8" at the widest and tapers smaller. Three have no cracks or big chips. One has a chip under the face and along the edge of the metal. See photo) Looks like it was factory flaw. Has air pocket in the chip. Very old chip and not very noticeable because of the jaw of the face over it. The feet fit a stand parlor type table from the turn of the century era. About 6" tall and they all have a tapered hole that is roughly 1 1/2" at the top opening tapering down smaller on the inside of the opening. As found condition and they are solid with the glass balls having the usual wear and tear nicks and chips that you would expect on something asd old as these feet. The metal feet have eagle claws holding a round clear glass ball. The feet can be used on furniture table legs. Chairs, piano stools or for craft projects. The total length is about 4" from top of metal to end of glass ball. The opening is about 3/4" wide and tapers. At the top of the cast iron is a drilled screw hole for mounting. All are in good condition and have been lightly cleaned. The glass balls have light wear from use. There is a chip in one ball that may have been there made. Up for auction is three(3) old ball and claw feet that came from a broken up old piano stool/chair. The claw sections are cast metal. The balls are glass. Each ball has 2 flat sides and the flat area's are different sizes/diameters. There are four claws on each foot and each leg has the scales-type skin molded into it. As you can see in the last picture, the balls are 1 1/4" in diameter, the feet are 4 inches long and an inch wide at the hollow top.

What amazing legs for any table. Bench or piano stool, or just for conversation piece display. The legs measure 29 1/2" tall and approximately 3" wide. The glass balls are encased in a steel/iron claw. Our décor is modern but these were fabulous. The walnut finish is mostly on but there is some missing, kind of cool as is. I purchased and there is no place to put them. However I loved them and had to have them. I know that some creative person could make these work from Victorian to Modern to Industrial.

Set of 4 ORIGINAL Cast Iron and Glass Ball& Claw Feet in AWESOME condition. Just the slightest amount of wear on the bottom of the glass balls where they were sllid along a floor for 100 years or so. The wear spots are IMPOSSIBLE to see when they are standing as they should on a table or other piece of furniture. Pix do not do them justice as it is nearly impossible to capture the bubbles. Streaks& swirls within the glass. One ball has a green streak inside that is incredible to look at. Iron"claw" feet are Eagle's Talons and appear to have once been gilded but they now have a nice mellow raw cast iron patina. Each weighs almost 2-1/2 pounds! These are NOT REPRODUCTIONS and are getting increasingly harder to find especially in this condition. Glass ball is approx 3" diameter(about the size of a baseball) individual ... morefingers are approx 3" long and the mount is 2-1/2" long with a 1-3/8" opening that tapers to approx 3/4" at the bottom. These need to be used on something that will give them the attention they deserve. I bought them because I just couldnt pass them up but, try as I might, I just dont have anything worthy of installing them on. I have some killer pieces of Arts& Crafts furniture which unfortunately doesn't look good with Victorian Gothic Ball& Claw Feet. ALL MY ITEMS COME FROM A SMOKE-FREE HOME!
