1" wood shaper spindle. Made by Mooradian Mfg Co. in Los Angeles about 1981. Purchased new. Used for one job and never used again. Bearings are perfect, the cast iron housing bore still has the honing marks. This is a heavy duty industrial shaper. It comes as pictured with three spacers and two shaper collars to hold shaper knives. Unit weighs about 32 pounds and is about 20 inches long.

Beautiful antique/vintage jewelry box.I bought this box at an auction and the auctioneer never mentioned what kind of wood it was only said it was made in the philippines so I really have no idea.If I had to guess I would say that the outside is oak.Needs to be cleaned! I dont know what the inlayed wood carvings are.Im guessing the outside is oak because it only stands about 8 1/2 inches tall but weighs 6 pounds.The carving on the left hand side is a woman washing clothes in a wash tub with a hut and palm tree in the back ground.The carving on the right is a water bufallo with a hut and palm tree in the back ground. The words"MOTHER" are carved on the top. Primed and repainted. The top was surface ground by Simcox Grinding in Brimfield.Ohio The motor was cleaned. Baked out, checked and new bearings installed by Hunnel Electric Motor repair in Akron, Ohio The spindle was disassembled. Bearings washed out,inspected and reassembled by Hunnel Electric as well. The drive belt was replaced while the spindle was disassembled. It is a"Panther" flat belt from Musson Rubber in Akron. Ohio. I started this project several years ago. We are pleased to offer this BEAUTIFUL. Antique bench. This absolutely stunning bench is constructed solid wood and is highlighted with an abundance of turned wood, spool spindles. The bench was part of an antique bedroom ensemble and resembles the old, Jenny Lind style. The bench back looks like an antique twin headboard and the bench may have made from an old headboard. The bedroom suite was French Empire in style so we have classified this bench in that category. The bench has a tall, open spindle back with a large slat and spool at the top. There are no arms, but the from spindles hyper-extend the sides and front for an"arm" feature. The legs and all of the spindles are turned. The wood is finished in a black stain.
