Here we have a very nice Stiegel type bowl from the late 18th Century. This bowl features a bulbous body with a series of diamonds and a small attached ... morepontil scarred foot. The glass is a beautiful cobalt blue coloration that displays well when backlit. This bowl measures just about 3" tall by 4 3/8" across and is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks, open bubbles, pot stone issues, repairs, etc. A very nice example! STIEGEL TYPE ENAMELLED GLASS MUGS
STEIGEL TYPE ENAMELLED GLASS MUGS This auction is for a pair of enameled decoration glass mugs. I do not know the origin or age of these mugs although they appear to be in the Stiegel style. And this type of decoration was also reproduced in Europe throughout the 20th century. The mugs were hand blown and have factory ground and polished top rims. Each mug stands about 5 1/4" tall with a 3" wide top rim. Both are in fine used condition, no damage to the glass and showing minimal loss of applied decoration. Beautiful Antique Stiegel Type Hand Blown Hand Painted Glass
Beautiful Antique Stiegel Type glass in very good condition. There is an old label on it which I did not remove because I did not want to damage the glass. I was told that this glass is linked to the Maclay Mansion in Harrisburg. Pa, but I have no way of knowing for sure. It is definitely hand blown and hand painted and matches the description of glass from the 18th century. This glass has no chips or cracks and measures 2 and 3/8" tall and 2.5" in diameter. This is a beautiful historical piece of art. Posted with

Antique Flip Glass- Stiegel Type, Hand Blown, Engraved, Green Tint, Circa 1800s
A ntique Stiegel Type Green Tint Copper Wheel Engraved American Hand-Blown Flip Glass with Decorative Tulip and Ferns in Urn/ Basket Motif. Circa 1800s Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This beautiful antique Stiegel Type Flip Glass was found by me hidden in the rafters of a late 1800s house in New England. And was only wiped with a damp cloth to clean. Condition overall is excellent. Which I have tried to capture in the images. The pontil is rough cut, and the glass is a beautiful watery green tint and is moderately to very seedy with bubbles, one of which penetrated the surface during creation(see picture) It appears as a dimple in the surface as shown, and feels nearly smooth to the touch. I am not a glass expert, but I understand that this was not uncommon with this type of glass. Other than that, there are no breaks, cracks, or chips, ... morewhatsoever. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Measurements are 5.25" tall x 3.75" diameter. Tapering to a 2.50" diameter base. Rest assured that I will take extra care in carefully packaging this for shipment to you. Thanks for looking and for bidding-
PAIR OF MID 19th CENTURY STIEGEL TYPE GERMAN/DUTCH GLASS CUPS
Please scroll down the page to see additional photographs of this item. PAIR OF MID 19th CENTURY STIEGEL TYPE GERMAN/DUTCH GLASS CUPS Presented is a nice pair of Stiegel type glass cups. The glasses are decorated with gold and white flowers and leaves. Each cup has a different phrase on the leaves. We believe that one cup reads. “From a friend create,” while the other reads, “For others freely.” The cups are German or Dutch in origin. They were probably made in the mid 1800s, but they could have been made earlier. The cups are in great overall condition. The gilding is somewhat worn. But there are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. Most of the little white spots are specks of dust. The cups are 2 1/4 inches in diameter and 3 1/4 inches tall. Antique Early 19th c. PAIR Stiegel Type Non-Flint Flip Tavern Glasses Tumblers
Antique Early 19th c. PAIR Stiegel Type Non-Flint Flip Tavern Glasses Tumblers I just purchased this PAIR of antique early 19th century flip glasses from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The glasses are characteristic of the tavern tumblers produced by a number of United States(New Jersey. Pennsylvania) glass houses, as well as, their German and Bohemian contemporaries. The tumblers are nicely executed in thin walled, non-flint glass which shows bright clarity and no coloration. The flaring walls show nice hand blown character and the top rims are well finished with a rolled edge. The bases have the typical open pontil and appropriate fine contact wear on the foot ring. The tumblers measure 4" high, 4" across the top rim and 2 ½" wide at the base. Both glasses are in excellent condition with no damage. This handsome ... morepair of flip glasses would make a nice addition to any collection of 19th century tavern glass. International bidders. Antique American Early Stiegel Type Glass Cup w Handle. Amethyst, Circa 1800-40
Early American blown glass handled cup or mug. In dainty fragile amethyst glass. Of the type made by Stiegel, late 18th century. This example is likely New England in origin, as it came from an estate with several good early American pieces descended in lineage. Possibly Ohio. Amethyst blown glass in slightly ribbed version. Measuring about 2.25 inches high and about 2.5 inches width to outer handle. Choice underneath pontil mark. Circa late 18th c/early 19th c. About Stiegel: Stiegel's story is the classic rags to riches tale. Which he carried a step beyond a happy ending by going back to rags. Henry Stiegel was born near Cologne and emigrated to Philadelphia in 1750 with his widowed mother and younger brother. After a year or so in Philadelphia. He went to work in Lancaster County for an iron founder, whose daughter, Elizabeth Huber, ... morehe married in 1752. By 1756 Stiegel had become a partner in the ironworks, which was run on a cooperative basis, and he renamed it Elizabeth Furnace. In 1760 he became a subject of Great Britain. By then he was an important community leader and a lay delegate to the Lutheran Ministerium of Pennsylvania. Stiegel. A German immigrant, came to America in 1750, married the daughter of a Lancaster County ironmaster, took over the iron business and diversified into glass production. Elizabeth Furnace was modernized. And a small company town was built around it. Under Stiegel's energetic influence the foundry produced stoves, heating devices, and almost every kind of object that could be made of iron. By the 1760s Stiegel had acquired a second ironworks, Charming Forge, near Womelsdorf, Pa. and a large amount of land at what later became the town of Manheim. His first wife had died, and he married again. In 1763 Stiegel produced. On an experimental basis, his first glassware at Elizabeth Furnace. There were 10 craftsmen, supervised by his brother Anthony. The initial output of the factory—window glass and green bottles—sold quickly. Shortly thereafter Stiegel made a trip to England
