Could be Bohemian-late 19th century. Stands approximately 8 inches tall. There are some flaws to note. Has a piece that has chipped off of a ruffle-right at the handle. The handle is cracked right at the same level where the ribbon has been broken-the crack has not gone all the way through. I thought there was a hairline crack on the opposite side but when examined with a jewelry loupe it looks like a small piece of the spatter glass made it to the inside of basket. The bottom of the basket has a spot that looks like it was missed with the spatter glass when it was rolled. The flaws are on the same side so this piece can be displayed from one direction without a visible flaw. Please use the measurements that we include in the listings to ensure an accurate fit-these are specific to that article of clothing. I am an honest seller. Wonderful Antique Thorn Applied Handle Dimpled Ruffled Overshot Art Glass Basket
From an old estate. Lovely and very unusual mouth blown antique dimpled with ruffled top edge and applied thorn decorations twisted top handle art glass basket. The basket body has random spattered red and green glass with an overshot finish. This piece was probably made in Czechoslovakia in the 1930's but it has no marking. It has no damage. It is about 6 1/2" high and 5 1/2" across the top ruffled opening. A most unusual art glass basket!

Pair of hand-blown late-Victorian/ Art Nouveau uranium(vaseline) glass bud vases by John Walsh Walsh or Webb of Great Britain. These vases are 9.2 and 8.8cm high and are in excellent condition with most. If not all the pulled thorns and feet in excellent condition. The glass fluoresces green/yellow in strong UV light due to the addition of uranium oxide, but I am afraid I do not have the facilities to photograph this. The larger has tiny fleabites to 5 thorns and 3 feet. Felt rather than seen. It also has a swirl(not a crack) from manufacture- shown in pictures 6 and 7. The smaller has roughness to 5 thorns and 2 feet. But I think on the whole, for objects of such age and delicacy, they are in great condition. The feet have ingrained dirt and dust. FOR AUCTION IS A DELIGHTFUL PAIR OF VICTORIAN THOMAS WEBB VASELINE GLASS THORN VASES WITH OPALESCENT RIMS. THE VASES HAVE SMALL ROUGH PONTIL MARKS IN THE CENTRE OF THE BASES WHERE THEY WERE HANDBLOWN. THE VASES MEASURES APPROX 3.75 INCHES OR 9.5 CMS IN HEIGHT AND HAVE A COMBINED WEIGHT OF APPROX 220 GRAMS UNPACKED. THESE VASES ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND WITHOUT DAMAGE AND UNFORTUNATELY THESE VASES BOTH HAVE DAMAGE TO THE FEET. BOTH VASES HAVE ONE LEG MISSING(PLEASE SEE PHOTOS) BUT DESPITE THIS. 19thC Victorian Large Marbled Spatter Glass Thorn Handled Opal Cased Basket
Description This beautiful and distinctive glass basket was made in mid-to-late- 19th century. Probably in Britain. The large and ornate basket has been hand-blown. And has a clear thorn handle, shaped like a natural twisted thorn stem, applied to the basket with a claw foot. The bowl itself is hand-blown from white opal glass cased in a deep and richly marbled spatter glass, in red and maroon, green, pink and yellowy-orange. The sides are deeply crimped and ruffled, and the basket has a hollow foot and a smoothly ground circular pontil. The basket is in excellent condition. With no damage, and just appropriate light age-related wear to the base, which is unmarked. It measures about 17 cm/6.5" high and wide. And 14 cm/5.5" wide across the handle. Stourbridge glass vase/ewer Stevens & Williams? applied flowers thorn handle
Extremely pretty vase in milkshake pink(not the usual pink) the rim has an upturned lip as seen on Stevens and Williams!and three prong base to the handle.The handle has thorns and is in pale amber as is the stem and leaves.The applied white flowers are a lovely contrast to the pink of the vase and have a checkerboard texture.the middle of the flowers are clear glass.the base is clear glass and the pontil is broken.I am not an expert so if anyone knows any more about this I would love to know as there were similar vase made in Bohemia at the same time. Offered in this sale is a beautiful Victorian art glass basket that is cased pink over white molded with ribbed swirls and encased air trip ... morebubbles and an applied thorn handle that dates to the late 1880s. I am not sure where or by whom this piece was made. These baskets are often attributed to Stevens and Williams or Webb in England. However, similar baskets were made by the Phoenix Glass Company in Pa, and at Hobbs, Brockunier to name just a couple. Perhaps the distinct technique of the pattern is a"signature" of a particular factory that more astute collectors and/or dealers will recognize, however, I can only say for certain is that it is a period piece. It measures roughly 7 1/2" tall x 6" in diameter at its widest. The height of the bowl alone is 4 1/2" It has a ground pontil. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding. This is one of more than a dozen Victorian art glass baskets from a single owner collection that I will be listing for sale on Ebay over the coming days. Welcome to my auction for this lovely 19thC small thorn vase. Made from Cranberry coloured glass with an opalescent band around the top. And a much paler opalescent band further down. I think it is quite possibly by Thomas Webb. Condition& Size: It is in lovely condition apart from one very tiny dot of wear to the glass on one of the thorns. Mentioned for accuracy. One small white inclusion in the glass towards the bottom which is original to manufacture. Polished pontil with normal age-related wear underneath. Antique Victorian 9" x 6" Art Glass Rose Bowl Wedding Basket Vase w/Thorn Handle
This is a gorgeous antique Victorian multi-colored art glass basket. This piece was extremely well made with a perfectly executed design. The top rim is evenly crimped all the way around. It has a round rose bowl shape and rests on a raised round base. It has is a clear applied thorn handle with a loop at the top. This is a thick sturdy cased basket. The first layer is clear glass. The clear glass covers an internal layer made up of a multitude of colors. Some of which are shades of cranberry, cobalt blue, green, yellow, violet, and white. The third layer, or interior of the basket is white. When placed under a black light, the clear thorn handle has a green hue from the early use of uranium which was added to glass at that time. The combination of colors is exceptional. The clear exterior glass shines brilliantly over the colorful design ... moreon this basket. The pure white interior adds even more class to this stunning Victorian art glass. This style basket was very popular in the Victorian Era. The base has an inverted ground and polished pontil. I have taken several pictures for your better understanding. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. As to the condition; As I mentioned above. Unfortunately there is one tight crack on the clear handle about an inch up which is shown in the last picture. This is not noticeable without very close inspection and in no way affects the display. There are no chips or any other damage. The interior of the basket is very clean. There are normal manufacturer defects such as tiny air bubbles, however, very few. This was an extremely well make piece of art glass. It looks new. The basket measures 9" high with the handle. It has a perfectly round and very level shape from the crimped rim to the base. It measures 6" across all the way around. Without the handle. It measures 4 1/2" to 4 3/4" high from the base to the crimped top rim. The round base measures 3 1/4" across. It weighs 1 lb 13 oz. Antique Bohemian Art Glass Basket Description: Basket is blown of pink glass. Tapered and bulbous shape with vertical optic decor pattern. Rim is crimped with a double ruffled shape.
