Antique VISIBLE (brand) glass MAILBOX with metal attachment and hanger
Antique VISIBLE(brand) glass MAILBOX with metal attachment and hanger for wall mount. The mailbox measures appx. 12 1/8" tall x 6" wide x 4" deep with all measurements including the metal base and top. The glass is imprinted with the name VISIBLE and with the word MAIL. I do not see any chips or scratches. I do see. As is shown in the picture a bottom mounting bracket but I do not know if it was meant to have a bracket near the top, which this item does not have. This is an antique item and is being sold as is with no reserve and no returns. Thanks

Rare Vintage Holtons Visible Glass Mailbox Mail Box Antique Early 20th Century
Antique Glass Visible Mailbox Clear Glass Large Letters- MAIL in smaller letter. Low relief- Holtons Visible Mailbox(Has some other words. But I cannot make them out- I will update if I have some younger eyes help me see this) I don't see any cracks or chips- there is a bubble from when the glass was blown Lid has been painted and needs to be repainted- inside of lid shows rust The person that had this mounted it with a wooden board attached- which if you keep this method will also need repainted The back of the glass mailbox has paint on it which shouldn't be too hard to remove Once restored. This would look great on your Victorian house- or any house at all!

Up for sale is a Antique"VISIBLE GLASS MAILBOX" Gerrge F. Collins Co. Sepulpa Oklahoma. No cracks. Super nice condition with just a bit of surface rust. Embossed lettering says"Visible" horizontally and"Mail" vertically(did not show great in pics) Everything works. Some of the metal could use some genten straighting. A great vintage pice. Being sold in it's found condition. I beleive this is a early model having no aluminum. Almost 4 lbs.

Awesome RARE pale green glass visible mailbox NEVER USED!! Minty!!
Vintage"VISIBLE MAIL" Glass mail box. 1920s- 30s. The top lid and bottom flap work well. The bottom bracket with mounting holes is intact. The box itself. Which measures 11" tall, 5" wide and 3 1/2 deep, is in excellent condition! The metal parts are in excellent condition and still shine. The original paper tag is still inside the mailbox. this box looks to have never been used. The glass appears to be a VERY pale green, almost like an old bottle, or maybe the light plays tricks, so it could be clear, it depends on how the light hits it. I know these have gotten harder to find lately. Please look at the photos and email with any questions.

This is a VINTAGE ANTIQUE CLEAR GLASS VISIBLE MAIL BOX MAILBOX GEORGE F COLLINS CO. In very good condition for its age& has a great look! Does not have bottom part of mail box. Also has some paint on the bottom. Can easily be removed. The metal top piece has been repainted. There is a mounting hole at the top of this mail box. Mail box is marked Visible Mail. The mail deliverer uses the top and the homeowner uses the door on the bottom to collect mail(bottom door is missing from this) Has some chipping around inner& bottom rim. Please see pictures. Here's an old clear glass"Visible Mail" mail box from the 1930's. This was found in the basement of an old uptown mansion here in Butte Montana. Embossed in the glass at the top front in small print is; George F Collins& co. patented 5-22-34. Below that; visible" in an oval, below that"MAIL" in large letters. Thie metal parts looks to have been painted along with the house at some time, the paint has weathered and light rust has come thru resulting in a patina only time can create. All metal parts are solid. The glass is aged with some light rust stains arount the metal parts, again, patina! This mounts with three holes on the back, the magazine or newspaper holder is the top mount. The mail goes in the top door and out the bottom and has a place for a small padlock. There are small chips in the top opening, ... morenothing serious, looks to be part of the manufacturing process. The glass body measures 11 by 5 by 3-1/2 inches. A very unique glass mailbox from 1930's that has metal lid and bottom, plus the usually missing wall mount hook. The glass is very heavy and has"Visible Mail" on the front. The wall mount hook is also made to hold the newspaper. From my research. This was made by George F Collins& Co of Sapulpa, Oklahoma that had a patent on this design in 1930's Measures approx. 11-1/2" X 5" X 3" Has one crack towards top front. But does not go all way thru glass. Also top lid has a dent, but bottom lid is very secure. Please let me know if you have any questions.
