This kind of Victorian fancywork is getting increasingly difficult to find these days, as most of it was taken down and scrapped ages ago. Please see photos for accurate condition. This piece has original shellac finish with original mellow and deep patina. It measures 61" long by 12" tall. There are 32 spindles in a beautiful arched ball pattern. Magnificent. Architectural fretwork in terrific overall condition! Solid oak construction& nicely finished on both sides. Pierced, see-through design brackets at each end and one in the middle. Tapered, repeating spindles with balls across the front. Mounting holes and small pyramid detail at each tip. It measures approx. 63 1/2 inches by about 18 inches. This is Victorian style and vintage age. One small crack, otherwise near perfection. Many other unusual, architectural artifacts listed. All questions encouraged and answered. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It has flat sawn elements as well as spindle work. It is made of oak and is heavily varnished. This is a very elaborate piece. It measures 36 inches wide by 14 inches tall and is 1 inch deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There is a chip at the lower right foot. One spindle is missing. There are a few light cracks. Please look at the pictures carefully.
