This lovely tribute to mom dates from the 30's or 40's. It features a well-loved poem from that era. A Wonderful Mother" by"Pat. O'Reilly" Colors of the print are soft yellows and pale greens. With corners, borders, and other highlights in metallic gold which catches the light. The original textured wood frame has the same gold highlighting, along with a strip of dark red. Please zoom in to see the details, such as the small flowers that are painted at the end of verses. Back covering is in tact. With a few small rips from wear and age. The original wall hanger is still attached, and this piece would fit well on a display stand. It is 7 5/8 inches wide, and 5 5/8 inches high. Vintage Volland "Mother Mine" framed motto, early 1900s
Beautiful Volland motto. Original frame. Nails, and hanger. Original glass has a tiny bubble, which makes original window panes so cool! This is just under the birds, but I could not photograph it. Frame has a nice blue-gray border. Outside edges are a faint green, but the color has worn somewhat, especially on the bottom. Paper appears to be a parchment style of paper, which has some waves and texture. Date not shown, but likely 1915-1930. Back has a few water stains and what appears to be a J in ink. Framed Antique French Hand-Painted Fan Carved Mother-of-Pearl Sticks 19th C
Beautiful framed antique French fan with hand-painted courting scene. Fan appears to be made of silk although I have not examined it out of the frame. Intricately carved and pierced mother-of-pearl sticks. Attached tassel. Frame is a gilt-lacquered wood shadow box with green velvet backing. The frame is approximately 20-3/8 inches wide and 13 inches tall. The fan is approximately 16-1/4 inches wide and 8-1/8 inches tall in the current opened position. The fan appears to be in good condition; the frame has some wear to the gilt finish. Especially near the corners(please examine photos carefully) I strive for accurate descriptions and photos and welcome any questions.
