Generally these were in a corner of a ladies bedroom or dressing area and provided a sense of privacy while changing. Magnificent fruitwood inlay featuring a urn type bowl filled with fruit. A simple and elegant way to dress up any room. Sheraton is known for its light. Elegant appearance, especially delicate compared to earlier Queen Anne and Chippendale styles.Pieces are embellished with small, low-relief carvings or painted designs, along with intricately patterned and detailed marquetry and veneers, often in dramatically contrasting woods. Some pieces are completely painted, dyed, or japanned. Common motifs include drapery swags, lyres, ribbons, fans, feathers, ... moreurns and flowers. Because Sheraton furniture is characterized by contrasting veneers and inlays, pieces often contain more than one type of wood. Fine Miniature French Louis XVI Style Paravan[Dressing Screen] Teal& Gilt Decorated Surfaces Carved Ram's Head Corners Item# 130005YLP20 This is a gorgeous and unique French Louis XVI Style Carved and Painted Paravan[Mirrored Dressing Screen] from the late 19th-early 20th Century. Most notably. The stature of the piece is diminutive if not miniature, making it a piece that does not dominate or define a room. The panels are each double-hinged, allowing you to flexibly place the panels in whatever configuration works best for the overall design of your room. The frame is exquisite. Entirely hand carved of the solid(not applied or gessoed) with highly complex woodwork- the top is a tall arched wreathe of flowers with intermingled foliage over a gilded ribbon tied in a bow, these flowing outward along the frame over a gilt-highlighted ... morebeaded trim that frames the entire paravan. Flanking the crest are two flamed gilt finials stepping down in large curled acanthus formations at the corner of the left and right panels that work effectively to transition from the raised middle panel to the lower side panels. Both the left and right panels are completed with projecting carved Ram's Heads over a complex array of foliage and roses. Rosettes corner each of the mirrored panels amidst double-beaded borders. The front and back of each panel has a fine upholstery with gold trim. The frame resting over acanthus carved french feet. This is a precious little piece. Accomplished in every regard and of exceptional quality. The gray-teal painted surface remains in excellent condition and is very attractive. An elegant genuine gold leaf triple dressing screen from about 1880 was purchased in the 1970's at a memorable"on the sight sale" at the"Folies Bergere" cabaret in Paris. There is no proof. But we trust the sweet elderly antique dealer in France who has kept it all these years. Three panels are original gold leaf with losses as shown. Worn down to the red ochre underneath, the silk panels are in tatters and are either charming or need to be replaced. Shaped and beveled mirrors have been replaced somewhere along the years. At an estate, was in dry storage since 1972, it has carved Oak panels across the top of each section on one side. fabric panels appear to be easily replaceable fabric. As panels have brass screws holding them to the sides upright legs. Overall condition is O.K. to good. Needs work. Will look g reat when restored. the frame seems to be tight. And of solid oak. It should refinish beautifully, N eeds repairs to loose& broken glue joints. At the top corners of panels. easy fix when apart to recover with fabric. The total opened width is about 72" wide laying flat. Self standing width is 5' feet or so depending on folding and it stands 65-66 inches tall. Welcome to our eBay auction. Up for your consideration is an antique folding 3-panel room divider dressing screen. The room divider measures approximately 60" tall and wide. Each panel partition from spindle to spindle are approximately 50" tall by 16 1/2" wide. My wife originally bought it with the intent of creating a unique dressing screen featuring vintage tinted Vogart pillow squares. But since then, we've moved into a smaller home and now have no room to dedicate to a room divider. It is structurally sound. As the what appears to be original dowels. One dowel has been repaired with tape. Lace curtains modified to fit inside the panels looks nice.

Antique French Artwork on MOP Embroidery Dressing Screen Panel Gilt Wood
For your consideration is this stunning 19 th century antique French 3 panel divider screen. This particular divider has several exquisite detailed features. I’ve never seen such detail on one of these screens. Mid panel there is enclosed a mother of pearl hand painted fan behind glass. The detail of the painting is exquisite. Each panel is hand embroidered with stunning floral on felted wool. Bottom of each panel is gorgeous silk purple velvet. Entire piece is framed in beautiful carved gold gilt wood. Color is a nice bronze gold. It is a gorgeous patina. Top of frame in back mid panel is lined with pretty floral upholstery fabric. Measurements: 39 ½” height. 49 ¾” total length across all panels opened. Left and right side panels measure 13 ¾” length. Mid panel 22” in length. Total weight = 14.6 lbs. The screen looks great ... moredisplayed on table as a work of art. It is in impeccable condition for its age with all embroidery in tact. Normal wear for its age. A few sequins here and there missing that’s part f the ribbon trim. Very minor and listing for exact accuracy. No breaks whatsoever. I’ve provided many images for viewing but pictures do not do this beautiful piece any justice! I’ve never seen a screen with this detail and artistic workmanship. Was lovingly taken care of. Pre-1900 Antique Hand-Carved Wood Dressing Screen
I have for sale a gorgeous antique hand-carved wood screen from the pre-1900's. This wood screen was given to my great-grandfather by his parents. He then fled what was soon-to-be Nazi Germany with his belongings to the US and this has stayed in the family. Being handed down to my mother once he passed. A real find, pictures do this dressing screen NO justice. It's very intricate and is very obviously hand-carved. Wood type is unknown although it looks to be either a dark walnut or teak(the beautifully dark-striped wood grain is my only tip for this) Hate to see this antique go but I have no room/use for it. A definite FIND! Unknown make- no labels. Tags or brands on the wood indicating such. I did see a screen similar to this one on eBay but it is no where near the quality or detail of this one.

A vintage unique 3 panel dressing screen or room divider. Have no idea when it would have been made but would guess in the 50s or perhaps earlier. Stands 65 ½” tall and each section is 18” across. Looks to have a walnut frame with some type of solid thin panel construction. Panels have had a type of varnish or the like applied to them. Heavier(shows darker) around the edges and fading to lighter application towards the middle of each. Then a stencil of roses and grid work applied over the surface. All joints are tongue and groove with no nails to be found. Glamorously Beautiful and Elegant Antique Shabby Three French Panel Screen ~ Very Heavy curvy wood framed panels painted in a gilt with mostly mirrors on all three sections and see through glass adorning the tops ~ there are carved roses at the top center middle panel and french fleur carved barbola down the ornate wood legs and sides ~ the back has a beautiful old rose bouquet gold color fabric attached on the lower panel sections as shown in my photos ~ the hinges are old but functioning and the thickness of each panel is quite substantial at about 2 inches ~ the top being glass approximately 12 inches on each panel creates a wonderful reflective room accent as does the lower mirrored section ~ I love these old room partitions because you can do so much with them as far as decorating a boudoir. French Louis XV Carved Gilt Screen Dressing Panel Embroidery Hand Painted w MOP
RARE stunning antique Louis XV French 3 panel divider screen. It is very old and in immaculate condition for its age. This particular divider has several exquisite detailed features. I’ve never seen such detail on one of these screens. Mid panel there is enclosed a mother of pearl fan that is hand painted. The detail of the painting is exquisite. Each panel has intricate hand embroidered floral scene on felted wool. Bottom of each panel is gorgeous silk purple velvet. Entire piece is framed in beautiful carved gold gilt wood. Color is a nice bronze gold. It is a gorgeous patina. Measurements: 39 ½” height. 49 ¾” total length across all panels opened. Left and right side panels measure 13 ¾” length. Mid panel 22” in length. Total weight = 14.6 lbs. The screen looks great displayed on table as a work of art. It is in impeccable ... morecondition for its age with all embroidery in tact. Normal wear for its age. No breaks whatsoever. I’ve provided many images for viewing but pictures do not do this beautiful piece any justice! I’ve never seen a screen with this detail and artistic workmanship. Was lovingly taken care of. It is a rare find in its great condition and aesthetic. New owner will be very pleased.
