But it was salvaged ... morefrom an old estate in the Cincinnati area. It is solid wood with what appears to be some sort of lacquer on it. The motif looks floral, perhaps a tulip? In terms of condition. I would consider these to be good to very good. A few pieces have some minor cracking, but nothing that goes all the way through or causes them to be falling apart. Each piece is numbered on the back. And these 4 go in order, so they are fairly evenly matched. Each piece is roughly 6.5 inches long. 2.5 inches tall, and 0.75 inches deep at the base. Description This is a great set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They were originally fireplace mantel breasts. Both are made of walnut and are painted. They are similar but not exactly the same. There are thick applied carvings on both. The brown one measures 35.75 long by 11 tall. The white is 42 by 10 with the lower damaged section removed. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. The white panel has a chip with some loss at the bottom corner. Also showing seam where 2 backer boards are joined. Please look at the pictures carefully.
