Or merchant's chest, dating from the Meiji Era around the mid to late 1800's, featuring a lock bar in the center and classical safe compartment at the bottom right. It boasts a natural light colour with a rich honey patina, beautifully shaped hand forged iron hardware, wood peg construction and 8 drawers of various sizes that provide versatile storage options including a full width drawer at the top. It is in excellent overall condition for it's age. But has a little lock issue: as there is no key and the top drawer lock is in the closed position with the drawer open it will not shut all the way. The safe compartment has a tendency to swing open by itself since there is no key to lock it. The lock issue does NOT affect the lock bar which slides in and out of place properly. Please read the description and examine the photos for more details on the condition. Locksmiths and larger antique dealers will own sets of multiple keys to fit a broad range of locks so you should be able to get the drawer unlocked easily enough so it slides into place. With a little patience you could also find an antique key that fits right here on ebay(I can recommend a seller who regularly stocks this type of item) Other small issues worth noting are a small repair in the bottom corner of the smallest drawer just above the safe compartment. The larger top drawer is stiff to open and close due to age and needs a tweak, and one corner plate in the back is bent out of shape. Given it's age there is some wearing off of the blackening of a few small spots of the iron, and a couple of small nails are missing. vtg antique lot 15 hardware brass metal dresser furniture drawer pulls knobs
Up for auction is this great lot of 15 metal drawer/cabinet pulls. They appear to be brass in nature. I have not attempted to clean these and they have a great older patina. 13 of the 15 pulls measure 3.75 inches wide and measure 3 inches between the screw holes. There is one large one that measures 4.25 inches wide and 3 inches between the screw holes. There is one smaller one that measures 3 inches wide that is missing his pull portion. Antique Metal Furniture Casters With Black Bakelite Plastic Wheels
This auction is for a set of 4 metal furniture casters with black plastic wheels. Possibly bakelite with ball bearings. They all seem to be in good condition with no damage other than scuffing on the wheels from use. There is a diamond mark with a D in the center on one side and the patent no. 9142 on the other side of the casters. Up for auction are four matching metal antique Victorian era hardware furniture pulls recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. They are offered in good used condition and feature a nice cartuche form and retains original screws in two of the four pieces. A cleaner pull is on one piece, but one with the original patina is included. This is what was found and all will be included to the winning bidder. The backing is tin and the pull is brass. The backings are approximately 1 3/4" in diameter. Pulls extend approximately 2" from the backing. A very nice find, great for reuse on any piece of furniture or to be repurposed on any steampunk style project. Up for sale are eight matching metal vintage hardware furniture remnants recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. They are offered in good used condition and feature a nice reticulated form. It has a pewter colored finish. They appear to be remnants from furniture hardware, as there is a hole in the center where the pull might be. This hole has an approximate diameter of 1'8" in size. It is in a round snowflake form. These pieces are made of metal, but it does not attract a magnet. They each measures approximately 2 7/8" in diameter. The back is marked, Japan" with the number"981" A very nice find, great for reuse on any piece of furniture or to be repurposed to accent any steampunk style project. They are metal though of some sort not plastic or wood like todays cheaply made furniture. They are in original found condition. 6 ANTIQUE FURNITURE CASTERS, 4 SMALL w/ METAL WHEELS, 2 LARGE w/ PORCELAIN
Up for auction are these 6 antique furniture casters. The 4 smaller casters are not a set. Two match and the other two are the same size but have different bases and wheels. Three have metal wheels(brass) and they turn freely. The other smaller caster has a rubber type wheel. Looks like a replacement. They measure over 1 1/2 inches high(total) and the wheels diameter is about 3/4 of an inch. They need cleaning. The 2 porcelain wheeled casters measure about 2 1/4 inches high(total) The wheels measure about 1 inch in diameter. Included with these are the furniture metal inserts. One of the wheels has an aged smooth chip on the side that doesn't affect it at all. The wheels roll smooth. They also need cleaning. I ONLY SHIP TO THE USA.
