Up for auction is this pair of highly detailed unfinished plaster cast corbels from New York City. Originally intended for restoration work. They feature a beautiful acanthus leaf design. T hey can be used to accent an archway. Hold up a shelf, or simply made into attractive bookends with very little effort. The corbels meas ure 6 5/8” high X 3 ¾” wide across the top X 3 ½” deep. Corbels, Enkebol, Lot of 3, 2-Large Leaf and 1-Smaller Acanthus, Pre Stained
Lot of 3 corbels stamped Enkebol on the back. Color is what I would call a nutmeg. But do not expect to match them exactly with anything as there are thousands of stain combinations. I believe them to be cherry or maple. It is hard to be sure with the stain applied. The smaller corbel is an acanthus style, and is 9-1/2" tall x 4-3/4"wide x 3-5/8" deep and is a little darker that the other two. The two larger corbels are leaf style, and are 13" tall x 3-5/8" wide x 8-1/2" deep. all are in nice condition, but do have a few tint scuffs and dings.

Still some small flecks of paint in recessed areas. You can tell by the patina on the back these are very old. They are held with square head naild. Really a beautiful pair that would a good cleaning and staining would bring them back to life. Dimensions: Measures 16" long X 5.5" wide X 4.75" at the top curl. Nice matched pair decorative antique carved wood corbels. They both have thick crusty old black and white paint. One has a small chip in the wood at the bottom tip and it is missing a small detail piece on the side. The other is undamaged.
