The bottom shelf has a small area at the far right front where it looks like the wood may have been broken and repaired, or at least cracked. It does have a lot of surface scratches on it from use ... moreover the years. The desk is made of solid wood, although I am not sure what type of wood it is, and it is finished in a dark veneer. It was made by Best Buy Office Equipment. This is not the Best Buy stores of today, but was a small one store operation. I am unsure of the exact age of the desk but I would guess that it dates to the 1950's or possibly into the early 1960's. It has had a keyboard slide out platform added to it that came from Staples. I do not know when this was added, but it was most likely fairly recently. The height beneath this pull out where the chair would go is 24.5" high. The desk is 29.5" tall, 20" deep, 60" wide.

Antique Federal Style Flame Mahogany Dresser w/ Mirror 2 Over 4 Chest of Drawers
Antique Federal style mirrored dresser or chest of drawers dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. Two smaller locking drawers are aligned over four larged drawers. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. There are some drip marks along the top edge of the mirror(from glue or wood finish, see picture) but no cracks or other damage. The wood has some wear associated with age, including chips and minor breakage to the veneers or inlay. See pictures. There ... moreis also a chip out of the left side finial and the right top drawer is missing its lock. The wood is cracked around the lock hole on the inside of the drawer. It carries two labels on back, one the name of a former(probably original) owner and the other the name of the furniture store where it was sold. Measurements: Height: 39-3/4” overall Width: 36” Depth: 16-1/4” Interior Drop Front Writing Surface: 33” x 12-1/2” Drawer Fronts: Top: 29-3/4” x 3-3/4” Lower Three: 31” x 5-1/4” It retains it’s original finish. Vintage Library Index File Cabinet 4 Drawers Original Finish
This is a vintage library index card file cabinet with four drawers made by Gaylord Bros. Inc from Syracuse, NY. I believe the wood is maple, but not sure; drawers are a darker wood and look like they have been refinished so I don't know if they are original to the piece. Drawers are trimmed in brass with slots for labels and a rod which runs through hole in bottom of cards. Cabinet has some dings and scratches which can be seen in pictures; top has a light place, one side has a reddish stain, back has a dent and side has a scratch. These could mostly be fixed with a furniture polish. Drawers slide in and out easily and fit snugly. This cabinet weighs 23 lbs but will be sent Parcel Select as this is cheaper than UPS or, if close, can be picked up. Antique Primitive Painted Oak PIE SAFE 4 doors 2 drawers Needs Work. I've used this old pie safe in my pantry for years. I believe it to date from about 1900. It stands 70 1/4 inches high. 37 3/4 inches across and 17 inches deep. It features 2 top doors with 2 shelves. 2 drawers, and 2 bottom doors with 2 shelves. Hardware is original. And you'll notice the lovely wood handles. It appears to be oak under many layers of chipped paint. The piece has so much character. And although it is a heavy, sturdy piece, it is a bit of a project. The corner of a door needs gluing. The grilling needs some tacks, and the bottom shelf needs a bracket. I like the paint the way it is, but it does need cleaning up. Refinishing is an option, also. You'll notice that the very top of the pie safe does not appear to be original. Here's a great little storage suitcase for sale. Made by Realistic. This was originally made to store slides. The slide holders have been removed from the drawers, and when it was found it was being used as a watchmakers repair box. Could also be used as a jewelry box, or a jewelers repair box. It's the sweetest little size. 11" x 9" x 5 1/2" It has 4 drawers that slide in and out nicely. Stucturally this is great, but it has a stain on the outside top and the inside of the drawers have had their liners pulled out. It's in vintage used condition, and it's got a lot of vintage style!
