This superb chopping tool has been made on a very thick elongated flake detached from a flint nodule using a hard hammer technique. The chopper has an even cortical band that runs from the distal end to proximal for grasping. This tool is is in superb condition with great patination. It is complete with no damage. Far better in the hand than the photos. Made by Homo heidelbergensis. Dating approx 400.000-300,000 years. Found Norththfleet. Near Swanscombe, Kent.
