The tool appears to have been made on an elongated split river pebble. It has dual worked points with a flat base. The side profile is straight, the front view has a very slight s shape, there is an area to one side that has traces of cortex for grasping(left handed) The tool shows considerable aged orange patination with signs of frost pitting that looks like worked nibbling in places. It is a rolled surface with great aged patination but clear working detail. It would make a nice addition to any collection. Better in the hand than the photo’s. This tool has been made on a marbled flint nodule. The tool has been made with a well defined point. It has a ridge running along it’s back, there are two notched areas next to each other for placing the fingers in. On the ridged back there is a small area that remains cortical. This area fits the palm nicely. The tool feels as though it’s been made for left handed use. As mentioned above. The working detail is very good. Every knapping blow can bee seen very clearly. The tool appears to have been made for lefthanded use. It would make a great addition to any collection. This tool has been from a from a flint nodule. It is triangular in plan and worked to form a point and side scraping edge. The dorsal side is mostly worked. There is a small area at the distal end that retains some cortex. The ventral side is flat and smooth where it has been detached from the main nodule. This is a very nicely worked and detailed tool. It is triangular in plan and made with a robust point. This is a nicely worked tool. With clear working detail and great patination, far better in the hand than the photo. Made by Homo heidelbergensis Dating approx 350.000-200,000 years Found Southfleet. Acheulean Biface Palaeolithic Handaxe. Small Ovate handaxe in very nice condition. Rare and precious primitive. Prehistoric tool. Pale grey flint with pale tans coarse grained no inclusions. One biface carries two small areas of fine grey pebble cortex. Mineral deposits can be seen in small sections of this artifact proving its age and authenticity. See pictures. It is triangular in plan and made with a robust point. The dorsal side has a small area around the butt that remains cortical for placing the palm against. The ventral side is notably convex and smooth. This is a nicely worked tool. With clear working detail and great patination, far better in the hand than the photo.
