Shabby Vintage Antique Tri-fold mirror primitive beauty with original brass
Here's a pretty little antique tri fold mirror I recently found at an estate sale. It is in very nice shape. It is 19.5 inches tall. The Center mirror is 15" wide and the two side mirrors are just over 7.5" a piece. Folded. It is 3/4 inch thick. Nice original brass hardware and screws. Mirror and glass is in great shape with no flaking or chips. Minor scratches in the paint of the frame. Excellent find. This looks like wood but I'm thinking it is metal. Antique French style tri-fold bevelled mirror with embossed leather sides
This is an original antique piece. Each panel is 7" by 5" and there are three panels. The glass is beveled. The outside of the panels appears to be embossed leather in a lovely floral design. There is one nail missing which can easily be replaced. Each panel has little brass ball feet for it to stand.I believe it is from the period of 1900 to about 1920. Antique Victorian Trifold Vanity Mirror. Victorian era around the late 1800s. This trifold mirror has three folding swing out panels held together with substantial hinges and it's made to either hang with a chain or stand on the six ball feet located at the base of the mirrors. The mirror has three beveled mirrors set in a metal frame. It also has a metal chain for hanging the mirror. The mirrors are beveled and each panel measures 10 1/4 inches wide and 10 1/4 inches tall. This is fairly heavy and weighs around 6 lbs. 2 oz. Center and left mirrors have some discoloration consistant for it's age.see last photo.

A Fancy Victorian Tri-Fold Dresser-Vanity Mirror, Brass & Celluloid w/ Woman
For auction is an ornate Victorian tri-fold vanity or dresser mirror. Made of solid brass and celluloid and nicely decorated with a semi-nude woman. Mirror can be used on a dresser top or hung by the chain. Item has beveled glass and is made of solid brass except for the chain, which is steel with brass plating. There are strangely no manufacturer's marks, but it is a top quality item. Each mirror is about 8 x 10 inches, and overall dimensions are about 25-3/4 x 11 inches. Item is in remarkable condition. Celluloid is excellent. Mirror's silvering is excellent. With only a tiny flaw on leftmost mirror(see last photo) Brass could be polished, but I think it looks great the way it is. This is a really beautiful little trifold shaving mirror! I purchased this in upstate New York a couple of years ago and haven't found a place for it in my home. It is from the early 1900s. It has a very French style with the bow on top. Very nice beveled mirrors! Each mirror is just over 8 inches square. Fully extended. This piece is 25 1/2 inches long. Original clasp works fine. The setting and the bow trim seem to be made of solid brass. The mirrors have lost silvering with age. The ivy-patterned paper front is worn as well. Vintage Deco Style Tri-Fold Small Vanity Mirror
Nice old deco style tri-fold vanity mirror. It does have small beveling around the edge of each mirror. When laid flat it measures 26.5" across. And it is 20"H. Each side piece is 7 7/8"W. And the center piece is 9 7/8"W. There is a small area of mirror loss at the top of the center piece where the clamp holds the mirror. There are also a few light scratches and spotting. Large French Victorian Tri-Fold Mirror with Amazing Etched Design 26 Inch High
Here we have a Gorgeous antique French Tri-Fold Mirror with amazing etched motif. This piece was just purchased from a very fine estate and is simply stunning. It is large being aprox 26 inches high to top of Rams head. When opened it is aprox 28 inches wide. It is in fair condition but looks fabulous. There are some chips on the beveled mirrors( all 3 mirrors on bevels) Play of mirror in frame but totally stable. Silver loss on center mirror at base. Abrasions to center mirror& one plug screw missing. see last 2 pics) The mirror stands on supports from the center mirror only so even with the one plug gone the mirror is very stable as the plug is only for the side mirror which still works& displays fine. Antique Victorian Bamboo Tri-Fold Hanging Shaving Mirror Pat. 1878
Antique victorian bamboo wood framed tri-fold shaving mirror. Open it measures 17" across. 12" tall, closed 11" The center mirror is flanked on either side by two beveled mirrors. On the brass closure is stamped Brevete SGDG LB Patented 1878. The mirror is all original except for the two pieces of wallpaper on the back of the two side mirrors. I have never tried to remove them. The center has a faded maroon leather back with a gold coat of arms. The bottom center panel edge has a sliver of wood missing. See picture. We have some lovely vanity items on eBay this week. This listing is for a beautiful tri fold mirror. A three part mirror that can be either hung on a wall by its original brass hanging chain or stood up on a vanity. The three hinged panels are of wood with ormolu mounted floral detail and a very decorated clasp to hold the mirror in the closed position. Each panel has its original beveled glass mirror. The silvering is largely intact although there is a little"ghosting" to the left mirror. The entire tryptich mirror is in very good original condition with the only minor issues being that the two celluloid side panels are each very slightly lifted on one edge. On one panel it is the top edge and on the other it is the bottom edge. They are beautifully decorated with a georgeous Edwardian lady carrying a basket of flowers. Fabulous Antique Tri-fold Vanity Shaving Travel Mirror *With Animals*
This was truly an incredible find! Despite its age. It has held up incredibly well over the last 100 years or so. The wood and mirrors still in good condition, and the tooled leather is not only impressive, it truly gives this heavy bulky mirror, a delicate touch. The black tooled leather front has various animals in brick red and gold. I have taken many photos to try and show this. There is a small amount of loss to the leather front but it isn't very noticeable. This item was used as a traveling vanity mirror that could also be hung for storage or used for shaving. When opened, the 3 square beveled original mirrors sit on 6 wood feet. For its size, this item is deceptively heavy! There is also a substantial original chain attached for hanging shown. Very nice old Art Deco tri-fold vanity mirror. The mirror has a gold label on the front that says Hamilton. When laid flat it measures 24 1/2 inches across and 17 1/2 inches tall. Each side piece measures 6 in wide and 15 1/2 inches tall. The the backing is wood and has a stamp on the back. All I can read is Chicago Illinois. It also has a cable on the back for hanging however one side is not attached. This is a beautiful old mirror

The mirror features 3 panels and is a tri-folding mirror. The center mirror is the largest and this piece tilts up and down. Both side mirrors open and close on the sides. This piece is in good condition.though does show signs of use.and in need of some slight repair. The second photo shows an old mirror.true to its age. Antique tri fold mirror Asian Geisha / shave pat # 1876
Antique tri fold mirror. The hinge has pat date of 1876 and also Breve ESDGE(im not certain about the name. But I think that's what it says. On the metal trim edge the date is 26 Sept 1876. Pat# 182633. I looked up the patton# and found the pat to be for the mirror itself. When closed the mirror measures 13" x 13" There are 3 10" x 10" mirrors that fold open and have a 22" span width. The mirrors are cased in a wooddn bamboo stlye frame. Original link chain is still intact for hanging. Mirrors are held in place with copper looking metal framing. The two outer mirrors have a thick paper type Asian design in black on gold. The interior mirror is in great shape with only a couple of cracks in the paper. The outer picture has more wear. It is a little dingy with a few spots. A few deeper cracks in the paper. There ... moreis also,in top left corner, a place that looks to have been repaired. See Picts) There is a black shiny paper backing that looks original and is in great overall condition. The hinge with pat information is intact. But the gadget it would hook to is missing. This does not keep it from shutting or functioning. One of the 3 mirrors is in great. Almost flawless conditon. The other 2 show the wear you expect from a mirror this age. However all three mirrors have good reflection. None of the mirrors are structurally damaged. They have no cracks or breaks. Overall condition is good for a mirror this age. Antique Art Nouveau Tri Fold Vanity Shaving Mirror with Portrait Paintings
This is a unique antique art nouveau trifold mirror. It stands on brass feet. Folds flat with a clasp but latch is missing from clasp. Middle mirror is a replacement; the side two mirrors are beveled. The middle one is not. The frames around the mirrors are beautifully carved and stained, and it looks to me like possibly a wood burning tool was used. The fold outs are faced with hand carved, painted portraits with gold and also the wood tones complementing traditional art nouveau style detailing. Overall good condition. The paintings are missing some molding, but they stay in place. Two corners of one portrait were glued at some point and that glue is visible-see the close up photos. Each panel measures 12 7/8 inches by 10 7/8. The overall measurement of the whole triptych open is 33 1/8 by 13 1/2 inches. Purchased from Les Puces-a flea market ... morein Paris. Probably dating from 1880 to the turn of the century. This is the kind of piece a woman might have carried in her trunk. This is an old antique Victorian era celluloid over a chromolithograph print vanity dresser mirror from estate. This is selling AS IS due to its old age. See glass which can be replaced possibly. Antique 1800's Tri-fold Weiderer Beveled Glass Shaving Vanity Mirror
Wonderful old mirror from a local estate sale. It has the original beveled glass mirrors. The panels measure about 11 3/8" x 9 3/8" The back panels have a floral motif and look to be made of a pressed material. Perhaps gutta percha. Looks like there were two small turned feet removed from the middle panel. The hanging chain and eye screws have been removed. The embossed panels have a green tint to them that is more pronounced in my photos than in real life. There is a small worn spot to the center mirror as shown. Beautiful mirror. Thanks for looking.

Antique Tri Fold Shaving Mirror Asian Geisha 1876
This auction is for an antique tri fold shaving mirror I purchase back in 2003. I recently did a decor change and this no longer fits. I was going to bring this to a local pawn broker but thought I would try eBay first. On the clasp hinge there is a date of 1876 and also some type of hallmark with the letters ESDGE. There is also at date on the brass mirror frame; Sept. 6 1876, Pat# 182633. In the closed position the overall measures 13" x 13" There are three 11.5" x 11.5" mirrors. Two of which fold open roughly 120 degrees to the back mirror creating a 180 degree panoramic view of the user. When the flank mirrors are in the open position,the shaving/vanity mirror has an overall width of 27" measured horizontally. The mirrors are framed with brass and some type of bamboo species of wood. The two outer mirrors have ... moresome typical age and spotting issues but no structural cracks or chips. The center mirror is in great shape but appears to have been replaced at some point by previous owner. The outer art work pictures have some minor condition issues and certainly show their age and some wear. No major water/moisture damage or cracks in the paper but as you can see in photos the piece exhibits signs of age. Use and wear. Keep in mind how old this piece is. There is a chain with a center queen link for balanced hanging. This is the chain that was attached to it when I purchased and it appears to be original. I believe it's steel with paint or plating. Overall condition is fair for a mirror of this age. It was used. Not stowed away untouched so I'm sure there are better examples of this piece. The frame is missing two of the small caps/finals.my fault as they were present last time I noticed. But they are in fact missing and not included. Antique Arts 1800's Tri Fold Vanity Makeup Mirror Shaving Vintage Victorian Nice
Here is a beautiful antique tri-fold mirror with heavy beveled glass. French style Ormolu decorations of raised applied corners. Beaded and rope design on front and back of frame. The hinges are excellent and it closes with no problems, the glass is very nice for its age with just a little light spotting, the metal gold tone frame has discolorations from age, there are two small dents in the frame, one on the right panel top, the other on the bottom of the middle panel, very small but I think you can see it in one of the photos. There is one Ormolu corner missing. The chain is discolored and one of the mirror brackets to hold the chain is slightly bent. I'm not positive but i think the backs of the panels are leather, two are textured and one is smoother, maybe just the two outside ones are leather and the middle not, I just don't ... moreknow for sure. VTG Tri Fold Mirror Dresser Vanity Boudoir Shabby Cottage Hanging or Tabletop
You are looking at a great Tri Fold Vanity Mirror. The mirror is in great original condition with one small chip on the bottom left side when you are facing the mirror. I did picture it. I did not see it until I looked very carefully at every edge. There is not any ghosting of the mirror that I can see. The center mirror measures approximately 18" tall x 11.75" wide. The side mirrors are about 15.75" tall x 5.75" wide. The hinges are covered with the original felt like fabric. I have sold a lot of mirrors before. But have never seen this. Tri-Fold 19th C Antique French Mirror Travel Vanity Beveled Celluloid Angels
This is a lovely piece. And very rare, not just for its age or quality. You may not have noticed at first, but the center mirror is twice as wide as the side mirrors. This is an unusual feature in a tri-fold antique mirror, and allows both decorative backs to show at once when it is closed. Usually all 3 mirrors are the same width and one door folds on top of the other instead of folding flat like this one. SIZE ~ Each mirror is 8" high with the side mirrors 6" across and the center mirror 12" across. The entire piece stands 11" tall to the top of the finial. CONDITION ~ The decorative part is made of celluloid. An early precursor of plastic. It is impressed with sweet angels or cherubs, surrounded by blossoms. It is ivory in color and in fact may have been meant to mimic the look of ivory. Sadly one cherub has a little ... morechip in his head that shows as a dark spot. When you use the mirror, the doors do not show, so it's not a huge deal and is priced accordingly. The spot could be filled with a little molded clay and painted(if you wanted to try to make it less noticeable. NO breaks or chips in any of the three mirrors, nothing missing, could use a good cleaning. I believe the metal is brass. There is a chain for hanging. Or this mirror can stand on four delicate feet. A fancy decorative finial on the top holds the chain and is a gorgeous piece in itself! No combined shipping with this due to special packing needs- it is both heavy and fragile! This antique tri-fold shaving mirror sits on little brass balls. And has beautiful beveled glass mirrors with no chips or cracks. Original hardware including hinges, clasp and a metal chain for hanging. This was a portable piece for grooming while traveling. Each mirror measures 11" square and is framed by carved mahogany and has a wood backing. This is in amazing shape for its age. There is only a tiny bit of discoloring on one mirror and a dot sized scratch on the surface of another.

Antique Beveled Glass Vanity Mirror Today I've brought an old tri-fold beveled glass mirror made sometime between late 1800s and early 1900s. This came out of a 1920s bungalow in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. The glass is very thick and heavy.it has a great bevel to it(see photo)it is backed by a piece of thick wood and has little round brass rosettes that secure the mirror to the wood. This beauty was actually on the wall of the bathroom. However, it is a 3 piece mirror and would look wonderful on a vanity or dresser. Measurements. This piece is 24 1/2" long and 20" high(at highest point) It weighs a hefty 10 lb 6 oz before boxing to ship. Condition(see"condition definitions. Below) is good. Here for your consideration is a nice old Victorian shaving mirror. The mirror folds easily. And can set on a flat surface or hung. Each panel measures 8 1/2 x 6 3/8" Mirror has some gray spots, metal parts have an aged patina. The wood is in beautiful condition. There is missing paper from the back, but does have a card insert.

This mirror is very heavy and consists of three beveled mirrors measuring 7 X 9 inches. The two outer panels will slide out or"telescope" out to widen the view. Allowing the user to see further around to the sides of their head. There are two feet which also telescope to allow user to adjust the angle or"tilt" of the mirror to their liking. It is lovely. The mirrors are beveled and surrounded by very nice brass trim. The brass is ribbed and has wonderful end caps with a intricate design. There is a beading detail along the edges. Very nicely done. The back sides of the mirrors are covered with a pressed leatherette board. The side boards have a pebbled finish and the back side is plain. The back side is what receives the most wear from use and you can see that in the photos. When folded the mirror measures about 10 3/8 inches top to bottom and about 7 7/8 inches across. There is a nice chain on the top if you want to hang the mirror. The chain extends from the top edge of the mirror about 4 inches. There is a ring at the top of the chain for hanging purposes. The mirror panels fold one way. So when you go to fold it you will easily find which way is correct. It is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks and no repairs. The hinges work nicely. There is wear to the board on the back side. Or bottom, of the mirror as already mentioned. The 2 other boards are in very nice condition with minor wear. The mirrors have some wear and there is discoloration, or darkness, along the edges or corners. However, overall, the mirrors considering their age are quite nice. Beautiful travel vanity triple mirror. Date is unknown and there are no markings. But construction and materials would suggest 1800's Victorian. Frames appear to be brass or tin. The two end sections have artwork depicting Dutch scenes on the back. The mirrors are thick glass. Beveled on all four sides and are in very good original condition. Each mirror section measures about 5 x 7 inches. Laid out flat the overall length is about 17 inches. There is a center top ring for wall mounting and a hook latch to secure for folded travel. The tri-fold mirror has thick beveled glass in each 9.25" by 6.75" section. Folded all the way out the mirror is just over 23" wide by 10" high. It has a chain attached to the center section to hang the mirror on the wall. But will also stand on the tabletop. From the top of the chain to the lower edge the mirror is about 13.75" When folded up the mirror is 10.25" by 8.25" by 1.5" It has a clasp that keeps the mirror closed. The mirror is missing one hinge bolt. And there are three spaces on the bottom edge where the feet are missing. There are spots in the silver backing, and the green velvet has spots as well.
