This mirror is supported on two uprights that have the original brass threaded cheval bolts with decorative knobs. It has its original gold gilt gesso liner and intracately original beveled mirror glass. This is a super attractive shaving mirror with an Ogee curved profiled front to the base containing three drawers. Two of the drawers(the righ and left sides) have been professionally rebuilt and restored in addition to all the four finely crafted bracket feet. These are period accurate feet for this mirror and a sizable investment has been made in correctly restoring the base of this mirror. The piece is coming up on 300 years old and pieces don't get this age without some issues and attention being paid to them. Fortunately this was a professional restoration and not some hack repair we inhertitated and need to have addressed. But we did pay appropriately for the pleasure. One other issue worthy of mention-at some point a previous owner had installed probably brass finials with threaded rods on the tops of the uprights. We are offering the way it is. If you would like finials we would be happy to direct you to several sources for them or have something custom turned by our woodworker. This is an fantastic piece and we were lucky to obtain it. If you desire a fancy option we again will assist you but we are selling this with all its present charm. Integrity and rarity. The shaving mirror is 17" long, 8" wide and 23 1/2" tall. We are proud to offer this incredible Victorian shaving stand. Made of Mahogany with burled Walnut inlay. This piece features a swivel mirror and storage drawer, sitting atop a ringed, minimally fluted central column with a wonderfully carved tripod base. The single drawer has an inlaid front and dovetail construction, reinforced by small square nails. There are three small hooks that have been added to the interior of the drawer. There are brass fittings throughout the piece. It is sturdy and stately, and features period detail that is sure to impress. Up for sale we have a most attractive Antique Shaving Dresser Mirror. This piece can be used on top of a dresser or any place in the home a beautiful Antique mirror would be appreciated. The mirror is in outstanding condition for a piece from the late 19th century. The base has bun feet and the sides have nicely hand turned finials. The mirror measures 22 tall by 21" wide at the base by 9 1/2" in depth. The mirror itself is 16" tall by 15" wide in its frame. It works beautifully and has its original mounts in excellant shape. It stands up straight and firm with no wobbling. There are three spots on the base that have veneer chips(see pictures) There are a couple of surface scratches on the back covering that can be easily touched up. Beautiful Sheraton Mahogany Shaving Mirror
This is a beautiful mid 19thc English Mahogany bureau shaving mirror. This piece sits on large original ball feet and has a Ivory keyhole escutcheon in the center drawer and the original mirror and mirror backing board. The key in the photo is not the original and doesn't work the lock really well but does help open the center drawer and it does lock. The drawers are very finely dovetailed with some of the smallest dovetails I have seen. There have been some repaired areas through the years near the right side mirror support where it mounts to the top that should show up in the photos. But overall this is a very nice solid piece. 1740'S ENGLISH QUEEN ANNE CROTCHED MAHOGANY GENTLEMAN'S SHAVING MIRROR We take the highest pride in offering you this fabulous 1740's English Queen Anne period crocthed mahogany three drawer Gentleman's shaving mirror. This mirror is supported on two uprights that have the original brass threaded cheval bolts with decorative knobs. It has its original gold gilt gesso liner and intracately original beveled mirror glass. This is a super attractive shaving mirror with an Ogee curved profiled front to the base containing three drawers. Two of the drawers(the righ and left sides) have been professionally rebuilt and restored in addition to all the four finely crafted bracket feet. These are period accurate feet for this mirror and a sizable investment has been made in correctly restoring the base of this mirror. The piece is coming ... moreup on 300 years old and pieces don't get this age without some issues and attention being paid to them. Fortunately this was a professional restoration and not some hack repair we inhertitated and need to have addressed. But we did pay appropriately for the pleasure. One other issue worthy of mention-at some point a previous owner had installed probably brass finials with threaded rods on the tops of the uprights. We are offering the way it is. If you would like finials we would be happy to direct you to several sources for them or have something custom turned by our woodworker. This is an fantastic piece and we were lucky to obtain it. Antique Federal-Sheraton Mahogany Shaving Mirror
Antique Federal-Sheraton Mahogany shaving Mirror Circa 1820's This wonderful antique Federal-Sheraton mahogany shaving mirror has a bowed front. Two drawers which are hand dovetailed, sitting on ball feet, an oval original mirror with it's age spots attached with it's beautiful curved side harps. The harps are simply inlaid and have the original brass side tabs to keep mirror tight and the original brass pulls on the two drawers. The piece is 18 3/4 inches wide, 6 1/2 inches deep, 26 inches tall to the top of the mirror and is in very good condition considering the age, with some spots and stains on the mirror and one minor very professionally done veneer repair on the far back left hand corner, which is hardly noticeable. Estate find! Fabulous wood(appears to be mahogany) dresser top shaving/ vanity mirror with three drawers. It is beautifully constructed. I do not know how old it is. It appears to be handcrafted and could be quite old but does have some newer hardware so I will do my best to show everything in photos so you can make your own determination of age. I find it particularly interesting how well it is finished on all sides. Back, bottom, inside the drawers.etc. Great care seems to have been taken to create this stunning piece. There is no damage anywhere that I could find. The mirror is beveled and in very good condition with no speckles.
