Vintage Cast Iron Hand Painted Vanity Standing Mirror

This is a vintage vanity mirror that is hand painted on cast iron(I think it is cast iron as a magnet sticks to it) It stands 14 1/4 inches tall with the mirror having a diameter of 10 inches. There is a raised number on bottom of stand but I did not find a maker name. The mirror has a bevel edge and some normal wear. The mirror looks foggy because it is reflecting the table top. Nice Antique Gold Gilt Cast Iron Cherub Angel Dresser Vanity Boudoir Mirror
This mirror has a heavy cast iron frame with a nice metallic gold finish and original mirror inside. The frame is fantastic with kissing angels at the top. Cascading flowers and ribbon down one side, a bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables with ribbon cascading down the other side, and two winged cherubs standing atop faces of evil at their feet. Their is almost no paint loss or dark spots on the frame, but the glass has some light spottiness throughout, although images are still pretty clear throughout. Outer measurements of the frame are 15 3/4" x 13" and there is folding foot on the back that swings out about 4" The frame is marked JM 10 on the back.

Made from thick heavy cast iron, and has a lovely gold gilded finish. the mirror is in an oval format and pivots 180 degrees on two ribbed iron arms in the back connected to the base. the mirror has a detailed engraved trim. Here is an antique oval vanity mirror with an ornate cast iron frame featuring five cherubs. Flowers, and other designs. It measures 11.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches high; the bevelled mirror is 6.5 by 5 inches. It is marked"309" on the back, but has no other maker's mark. I think this originally had an easel stand on the back so it could sit on the dresser top. But someone has modified it to hang instead. The front of the frame is painted a brass color(the picture of the whole mirror represents the true color better than the closeups) it has lost minor amounts of paint. The mirror reflects well, but has some scratches and spots.

Dates likely to the late 1800's(1880-1899) and is in excellent condition! It is from the Victorian period. But has a definite Medieval theme. This extraordinary item weighs a full 15 pounds! It's 20 1/2" tall and 12 1/2" wide at widest. The bottom base is 12" long x 5" deep. Mirror glass alone is 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" not counting the riveted frame around it! Very substantial. Details: First of all. It's gorgeous! Highly ornate with an intricate Crown at the top, 2 knights-in-armor, swords, shields, flags, tools(looks like hatchet and others) draped banners and what looks to be boughs of holly throughout. Original paint ... moreLooks like bronze. It's mostly brown/black with dulled gold- just see pics for description of color. It's hard for me to get this in words. Mirror has a frame around it that looks riveted. But it's just the casting. With that frame, mirror part is 10 1/2" x 6 1/2" Mirror is just about flawless on the front. And is original. It swivels nicely and stays put straight up and down. It does have tiny holes at each end where it once had some type of peg or nail or tack that you could use to prop it against the outer frame so it wouldn't move. But those are gone. Condition notes: ORIGINAL and UNRESTORED. This is in excellent, usable condition and excellent visual condition, save for some rust on the underside of the base, and on back side of base, doesn't detract. Vintage Antique Victorian Stand Swivel Mirror Cast Iron? Vanity Ornate
This lovely vintage mirror stands 13 inches tall and is 9 1/2 inches wide at the base. I believe it to be cast iron. Definitely some type of heavy metal. It has natural patena and has no breakage in the mirror itself. It features a coin/jewelry scoop in the front which does show some rusting. ANTIQUE MIRROR MEDIEVAL CAST IRON FIGURAL VANITY/SHAVING DRAGONS FIGURE
Mirror stands 16" high and is quite heavy. The dish is shaped like a bowl and is 7 1/4" across. Mirror is intact with two strands of very thin wire across the back that secures mirror. Mirror itself measures 7 1/4" x 7 3/4" high. No holes or damage other than some wear to the black. Dragon heads on either side of top of mirror and figure on top of mirror. I believe mirror is from the 1700's.

Shaving Mirror This was my grandfather's shaving mirror. It appears to be cast iron and has a gold/bronze colored finish. It has a swivel on the back that allows it to stand like an easel. The mirror is 5.5" x 3.75" The piece is 12" x 8.5" This mirror is solidly built. AF 118 + is stamped on the back. The beveled mirror has no cracks but the silver has some spots on it. The cardboard on the back of the mirror is worn. The paint is worn in places which is consistent with its age. Please check pictures carefully as they are part of description. This is a beautiful vintage Victorian style cast iron framed mirror with a brass finish. The insert measures 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" The frame measures 11 1/2" tall and 9" wide. The overall condition is very good with 3 small spots( 2 upper and 1 lower) on the mirror and a very small crack in the lower right corner. I almost didn't even see it(See last photo and use the zoom) The iron frame itself is great condition. This could easily be made into a picture frame.
