Prayer has been an important part of life from the beginning of the world. We pray for strength; to confess sins and ask forgiveness; for guidance and ... morehelp; for our families and friends and neighbors; for protection from our enemies. We also pray to express love and to give thanks. With God on our side. The future is bright. The Prayer coin is carried as a physical reminder not only to pray, but that you are also being prayed for. It encourages faith, courage, and trust in God. It also symbolizes our strength and willingness to go forward with God in our hearts notwithstanding the battle that is being waged. This high relief coin design incorporates two soldiers(male and female) on side one clothed in armor and kneeling humbly in prayer surrounded by the text'Prayer is the key to Heaven' Pray Always' and the declaration'Faith to kneel builds courage to stand' Side two shows the two soldiers proceeding on their way with the conviction to'Pray Always, Work Hard, and Trust God' The surrounding text is from Matthew 7:7"Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; Knock, and it shall be opened unto you" Other symbolic design elements are also used to encourage thoughtful pondering. Other symbolic design elements are also used to encourage thoughtful pondering. 1.75 inch Antique Bronze hand rubbed finish· Durable clear vinyl coin pouch included· Superb quality· Excellent design· EXCLUSIVE Custom Design Lift up your hearts and rejoice. And gird up your loins, and put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm in faith. Popular uses: Achievements. Placing a bid signifies agreement with all terms and conditions. Due to eBay's latest round of improvements. This auction is for a bronze(I think) medallion by T R Pinches dating to 1864. To Commemorate The Visit Of Garibaldi- April 3rd 1864- England Welcomes The Liberation Of Italy" It's got the head of Garibaldi on the other side. In quite high relief with the name T R Pinches F. on the underside of the bust. Around the edge it's got"Giuseppe Garibaldi- Born At Nice 1807" For more information about Garibaldi please google the name or see the link below; http:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppe_Garibaldi The medal has a diameter of about 4cm and is about 4mm thick. I think it's made of bronze. It's quite heavy and has areas of green(verdigris) in patches as you can see from the photos. I believe the medal is quite rare. RARE COMMEMORATING MEDAL. FIRST BALKAN WAR, KOSOVO IS UNUSUAL AND INTERESTING. THERE IS AN INSCRIPTION ON THE FRONT SIDE- OSBETENO KOSOVO, 1912" REVERSE REPRESENTS TWO-HEADED EAGLE AND LAURELS. NAMES OF DIFFERENT SITIES OF SERBIA ARE ENGRAVED ON EACH LEAFLET OF LAURELS. DIAM. 3,5CM/ 1'3/8 The First Balkan War(1912-1913) Serbia, along with other Balkan nations, succeeded in ending Ottoman Turkish rule in south-eastern Europe. Kosovo was always a part of Serbia. But it unfortunately lost the region when the Turks invaded. The war of 1912 was a war of independence and reclaiming what was originally Serbian and Kosovo was a part of what was once independent Serbia.
Karl Goetz was the most famous and respected medal artist of the Great War generation. And Oswald Boelcke was one of Germany’s most famous air aces. This medal(K-183) combines the two in a beautiful display of medallic art. The medal is struck bronze(not cast) with a dark original patination(uncleaned) and is 87mm(3.4in) in diameter and 5mm thick. The obverse is a portrait of Oswald Boelcke with the surrounding legend commemorating his death on October 28. 1916. The reverse depicts an angel and eagle flying with a a German monoplane(the plane is a fanciful design, very loosely resembling the Fokker Eindecker with which Boelcke made his first victories) with four Roman numeral Xs at the bottom to commemorate his 40 combat victories. Boelcke was a German war hero and one of the first two airmen(Max Immelmann was the other) to receive Germany’s ... morehighest decoration. The Pour le Mérite. Boelcke was perhaps the earliest flyer to develop a set of air combat tactics, and he trained many pilots including the war's highest scoring ace, Manfred von Richtofen. Boelcke died in an air accident with one of his fellow pilots during a combat sortie. Karl Goetz was a prolific medal artist during and well after the war; his medals are highly collected. The Bolecke medal is uncommon.

Originates from the estate of a crew member(as well a pin that I am offering as another lot) Coin is 1.25" in diameter. Card is 3.25 x 4.5" Mint. USS Nautilus(SSN-571) is the world's first operational nuclear-powered submarine. She was the first vessel to complete a submerged transit to the North Pole on 3 August 1958. Namesake of the submarine in Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. And named after another USS Nautilus(SS-168) that served with distinction in WWII. Nautilus was authorized in 1951 and launched in 1954. Because her nuclear propulsion allowed her to remain submerged far longer than diesel-electric submarines. She ... morebroke many records in her first years of operation, and traveled to locations previously beyond the limits of submarines. In operation, she revealed a number of limitations in her design and construction. This information was used to improve subsequent submarines.
