The lamp measures approx 15" to the finial with the oval shade approx 8" across 3 1/4" tall.The heavy tole base measures 6 1/2" by 4" with a on/off switch on the base. A stunning antique 19th century brass 4-light bouillotte lamp and green tole shade. The lamp was originally made for oil and was subsequently converted to electricity. It stands on a shaped dished base with baluster stem supporting the vase shaped reservoir. Brass stem with decorative carrying handle, the height of the shade can be adjusted via a screw mechanism with decorative key type terminal. The lamp also has it's original brass wick trimming scissors and snuffer which are connected to the lamp by a removable bracket and chain. Vintage Frederick Cooper? Great Tole Bouillotte Lamp Double shade Red!
What can I say? A lovely tole Bouillotte lamp. Double shade double light. Great Tole design on it. I love lamps. I am a collector of lamps but I have a rule that when one comes in at this point another has to leave. I do not know the maker nor age of this lamp I have had it a while. I had it in my breakfast area but works well in any room. It is not marked but by the quality of the materials used it is most likely Frederick Cooper or Chapman. The red finish is fine and the shades do not have any dents or rust. The red is almost a rust color. I took some pictures out doors where you can see brick on the house to get a visual of the color. From the bottom to the tallest point it is nearly 21" tall and about 13" at the widest point. It weighs 5 1/2 pounds. The shades are on a brass bracket that you can raise or lower. This lamp uses ... moreaccent bulbs(not included) The post has some light wear(normal) and the only other thing i can point out is one of the gold cardboard candle post has a small tear at the bottom(see picture) The base is wood from what i can tell. This is a Gorgeous Red or Wine Antique Brass Bouillotte Tole Lamp. In wonderful vintage condition! There are 2 Swan Candle Holders and 2 Sockets for Standard Bulbs. It works perfectly. and looks stunning on! The shade has spots of the paint missing. And a few very light scratches. The shade cross arm on the top has 2 more swan heads on either end holding the shade in place, these are a bit loose and may need some adjustment or tightening, they are rubbing when the shade moves and the shade moves because they are loose. The base is very heavy and has felt covering the bottom. It measures 25 1/2 inches tall and 13 1/4 inches across the bottom of the shade. ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY FRENCH TOLE PAINTED BOUILLOTTE DOUBLE ARM HARP TABLE LAMP
This is an old antique 19th Century painted tole on metal French or Italian Bouillotte two arm table lamp from wonderful old estate done in a figural musical harp motif. It is 16" tall by 13 5/8" across top and the base is 7" by 3 3/4" It is a mustard color with a scene of figures at Roman like ruins. The scene is different on each side. It has the cord cut off and came with no shade. It has slight wear to the paint on a couple of edges not worth noting. See closeup. I also see a tiny 1/8" pinhead hoe on the base which has a 7/8" scratch with paint loss line that runs from the hole to the lamp body. See closeup. This is in wonderful condition for its age. Antique French Bronze Brass Bouillotte Lamp Brass Tole Shade
A antique french bouillotte style lamp in good condition. It does have some bends and dings here and there. Also scuffs and scratches from age and use. I believe this is made of bronze with a tole shade. It is working but as you can see in the pictures the electrical cord has been spliced together to make it longer. But that is a easy fix. The wood faux candles you see in the holders don't quite fit as snug as they should but they still look good. The tole shade does adjust up and down in height. French Bouillotte Regency Desk Lamp Eagle Adorned VTG Tole Shade High Quality
This lamp is in very good condition for its age. French empire style desk lamp topped with an eagle. The size is 26.5 inches from the base to the top of the shade and 17 inches wide from outside of shade to outside of shade. Beautiful patina on the brass and no dents or dings on the shades. The shades are metal and the tole guild is in excellent condition with very little loss. I recently noticed that there had been a scratch on one shade that was touched up with paint; it does not show up in pictures. I have had the lamp for a long time and only noticed it while dusting. So as it is not very noticeable it is there. There is tarnishing on the brass which gives it an aged patina. The lamps electrical works perfectly. This is most likely 1950-1960 manufacturer most likely E. F.Chapman Co. But not marked. Keep in mind this is a vintage lamp ... morewhich always have some imperfections. This is a bouillotte lamp with two large candlestick sockets under a single, tole shade. The shade is metal with an antiqued, golden color with an accent band of gold around the upper and lower perimeters. The lamp has an acorn finial and an arrow adjustment. The lamp is not marked but is of very nice quality. It is in good condition with only minor evidence of age or use. There is some minor scuffing to the finish in a couple of areas, but nothing severe or distracting. These can be easily resolved. The wiring is vintage but was updated at some point. This is for a lamp with 4 swan arm lights. Dolphin serpent? at base. Selling as found condition. Needs to be restored.Not sure of maker or age. It has a tole painted shade and a dolphin serpent? finial. Wiring is good and lamp does light up. Toggle switch is loose and I would still have it checked out before use. Not sure of metal looks like a brass to me. Entire lamp needs cleaned and polished. Shows some oxidation and surface rust. The brass poles that hold shade is loose and can be taken apart and fixed. Shade shows loss of paint and is bent in areas. Measures 29" high to finial, 10 1/2" across lights, 7 1/2" across footed bowl. Shade measures 17" across x 7 1/2" high.

French Figural Tole Peinte Bronze Bouillotte Lamp Serpents Dolphins Caldwell era
Up for consideration is a vintage Peinte Tole and Bronze figural French Empire style Bouillette Lamp. The lamp is unmarked but dates from about 1910 or so. It stands 26.5 inches tall by about 13.5 inches at its widest point. The piece sports finely cast figural Dolphins as arms with tripodal footed hairy pawed feet. The finial is a round finely cast circular floral wreath. The spreader or shade holder supports are also figual serpent or snake heads. Usually things that are not marked tend to be pre 1891. It possible this lamp dates late 1880's if it was made in France. Hence no"Made in France" as customary with these style of lamps.
