Antique Parlor Oil Kerosene Lamp Converted Electric Light Aladdin HobNail Green
The following auction is for a vintage oil/kerosene lamp that was converted to an electrical light with a switch. It is used.And original. I dont know if this is called a Fenton/Aladdin or not. I dont see any markings on the lamp anywhere,so dont think I am trying to trick you. I dont know if thats a style or a name,sorry this is the first one we have sold The light has some issues.But it does power on. The switch is for a 3 stage bright/brighter/brightest/Off Light. THE LIGHTBULB IS NOT INCLUDED. So you may have to turn the switch a few cranks,before it comes on,unless you have that kind of bulb. The glass is in decent shape with no cracks or repairs in it. There is a small chip on the edge of the lampshade. I forgot to take a pic. Its not real big,and I didnt really notice until just now when I was listing it. I felt it being a little rougher ... morethere. Its a darker green color. I think you call it hobnail or hobknob. The glass does have texture to it. The cord is in alright shape. Not all that great. I wasnt scared to plug it in or anything.But its old and wouldnt really be hard to replace,at least for the piece of mind. The light does work,the switch is a little hard to turn,but it does work. I didnt get shocked or anything like that when I was testing it. There is alot of rust/pitting on the ring that holds the shade.As well as the whole switch assembly. The spot where the oil lamp went is really pitty and rusty. The switch does work for the light,but it feels a little hard to turn. The light sits crooked. I think it has to do with the electrical outlet. When you look down on it,you can see the light is crooked. The whole ring and the entire switch mechanism is dirty and pitted/rusted up. The base appears to have been cleaned up. Its a lot shinier than the rest.It still has some pitting and tarnish spots on it.The underneath side looks terribly discolored and spotty. There is a small chipped off piece on the base. I took a pic. Not really noticeable.But its there The light stands(with shade on) about 16 inches

Up for auction is a very pretty ornate Bradley Hubbard Brass/ Bronze Oil Lamp base that has been converted to electric. I am able to light it up but there is a short in the light and the electrical wiring looks like it needs to be rewired. The lamp is hallmarked B&H on the oil cap and on the bottom. It has two dates one from 1892 and one from 1895 on the top where the wick would normally be(see photographs) The lamp itself is in very good condition with only one small ding on the wall of the lamp(see photograph) Hardly noticeable unless you hold it in a certain light. Very old Made in US of America oil lamp converted to electric. This lamp is really quite rare. The main part of the lamp is brass but I'm not sure what metal the base is. The ring that holds the shade is crooked but still works. There are a few dents which I have pictured. The shade seems quite old and has some roughness on the top& bottom. No chips or cracks. This lamp is pretty nice for it's age. Please look closely at the pictures. The lamp to the top of the chimney is 21"tall and the base is 6" wide. The shade is 7" high, 11 1/2" wide and fits a 10" ring.

The lamp was once an oil lamp that has been converted to electric and how has a two-pronged cord(see photo) This lamp is in great working order. Incredible old hanging oil lamp. With heavy adjustment weight ball at top. Someone has converted this lamp to electric. It does come with a glass chimney. Lovely floral glass shade in shades of white background and mauve pink flower with green leaves. Overall in very good condition, some tarnish here and there, slight irregularities on the brass and occasional small scratches, but no cracks or chips were found on the glass. The lovely crystals hanging around the perimeter give this lamp a real formal look. There are no maker marks that I could locate. 19th Century hand painted globe Success Oil Lamp converted to three way electric switch with built-in nightlight. 18 inches tall to the top of socket. You must supply the shade) Works great. Needs new nightlight bulb. The cord works fine but given its age I suggest having it retired for safety. On the top fitting. You can see how the oil tank was modified to accept a light socket, and welded into place. The oil tank is still inside the lamp, visible from the bottom peek hole where the nightlight fits. The 10 inch tall and 8 inch wide Globe glass is very thick and was hand painted with what looks to be pink thistle bush plants. The base is beautiful and stylish. They did not disturb the glass bottom part of the lamp when they converted it. The bottom is decorated with pink flowers and is trimmed in light green. The upper shade is not original to the lamp. It is a white frosted shade. The lamp is 18 3/4 inches tall to the top of the chimney. The frosted white shade is 7 1/4 inches high and has a 10 inch fitter base. The clear glass chinmey is 10 inches high and has a 3" fitter base. This would be a nice lamp for your home. PAIR of Antique Brass RAYO Style Oil Lamp Converted to Electric 7 inches tall
Genuine Brass estate lot find. Matched pair Rayo-style oil lamps converted at some point to electric. Ornate finger loops present. I can find no marking on either lamp, one fill cover is embossed with"Made In United States of America" The other is blank. Felt bottoms. I have not attempted to aggressively clean or repair the lamps and offer in as is as found condition. Normal dings for age are present as well as some discoloration to metal, see photos. One finger loop is separated from the base and both top caps are loose. I would not personally trust the obviously old electric conversion and assume they will need rewired. Brass lamps are 5 inches tall without electric conversion, 7 with it. A neat old set, my friend the antique dealer says likely 1930's. Happy Bidding!

Antique Rayo Oil Lamp Converted to Electric Nickel Plated Shade Ring Early 1900s
This Rayo kerosene or oil lamp. Circa early 1900s, has been electrified and works fine just as it is. From the condition and the type of cord which is not horrible, but definitely not perfect, I would guess the conversion likely took place in the 1950s or 1960s. I would feel safer having it rewired if I were going to keep it in my home. I have seen similar Rayo lamps described as pewter but I am quite sure. Not positive, this is nickel plated over mostly brass with some other random metals in a couple of places. Very often these lamps are found with the shade ring missing and they are expensive to replace so this lamp is ready to go with your addition of a shade. It could also be used with or without a chimney. The diameter of the shade ring is 10" The diameter of the stepped base is about 6-1/4" The height to the top of the shade ... morering is about 11-1/2" and it is about 7-1/2" wide at the widest point. Be sure to enlarge the photos so you can see all the nice details to the design. The lamp does show some wear but it is what I would consider minimal considering its over 100 year age. There is patina: there is some dulling to the finish. Minor scratching, a tiny bit of surface rust mostly along the bottom rim and one small dent. There may be other small flaws that I haven't seen or mentioned but in my mind these things add to its charm anyway. This is an estate lamp being sold as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking. Fragrance, cooking, mustiness, mothballs, other types of storage odors or pets. To avoid the expense of shipping. Antique Bradley& Hubbard brass electrified oil style table lamp impressed on font top"The Rochester Pat Jan 15 1884. Sep 14 1886" The brass removable oil font fill cap is unmarked. Decorative brass lamp measures 11" to top of bulb socket with base diameter of 4" and oil font diameter of 6 1/2" The 7" tall original white milk glass shade, with spreader, measures 11" diameter x 4 1/2" top opening. Clear glass chimney measures 10" tall x 2 1/2" base fitter. When retrofitted, a 3 lb. Zinc plug was added in the bottom for weight. The chimney tangs appear to have been lead repaired. 1 small ding and some very minor scratches are barely visible on the oil resevoir. Please use photos fo actual condition. Probably late 1800's, converted at some point to electric. 3 of the 4 glass panels are missing, it is being sold"as is" so please look at the pictures. It is for restoration, parts or repurpose. It is approximately 22 inches tall and 10 inches across and very heavy, about 15 pounds. I just know there is someone in Ebay land waiting for this piece. 1890'S FOSTORIA CONSOLIDATED MYRTLE PARLOR LAMP OIL CONVERTED ELECTRIC
The MYRTLE parlor lamp was named by Nicholas Kopp. This lamp is listed in Fostoria. Ohio Glass ll by Melvin Murray on page 168. The lamp was oil kerosene and has been electrified. The lamp is in good condition with no chips or cracks. The lamp is 25" tall to the top of the globe and 17" tall where the socket is applied on the lamp.
