Height of lamp to top of chimney is c.66cm(c.26" Brasswork is in good condition with some specks of tarnish, which may well disappear with cleaning, minor dents and scratches and the usual small specks and imperfections common in pieces of this age. The burner and gallery are in good condition and the two wick-adjusting buttons are in working order. As is the snuffer mechanism. Chimney is in good condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. The font is in good condition with no cracks, hairlines or chips. Had been electrified with hole for cord drilled through brass spacer at base, hole drilled through the bottom of font. Lamp measures 14" tall by 5-1/2" square at bottom. Very good condition: teeny chip to top edge of lower marble block, brass column and connector without dents or breaks.

Beautiful 19th C. oil lamp, pink milk glass font, marble column base no vaseline
19th C. oil lamp. The brass-mounted turned marble column base supporting a glass font with vertical stripes of milk glass, graduating from white at the base to pink at the top. The stripes have a vey"vaseliney" look to them, but I have tested this with a black-light and it does not fluoresce like true vaseline glass. Total height to the top of the burner is 14 1/2" 37cm) the diametre of the font is 4 3/4" 11.5cm) and the brass burner is just over 2" 5cm) across at the widest point, to take a 2" fitter shade. The brass parts are lightly tarnished(easily buffed up if so desired) and there is a small split on one side of the brass collar at the top of the marble column(photo No.8) otherwise in very good condition, with everything working as it should. Beautiful 19th century oil lamp with clear beaded paneled loop font with etched bell flower design. Brass column on opaque white milk glass base. It measures approx. 10 1/2" the font is just over 5" in diameter, the base is 4" square and the top fitting approx. just over 7/8" inside diameter. The lamp is in very good original condition with only normal use wear and will polish up great. Being offered is this very nice Hinks& Sons Corinthan Column Oil Lamp with a Cut Glass Bowl.This lamp measures approx. 33" overall. 22" to top of burner. It has a nice cut glass bowl. It is signed Hinks& Sons Patent on the collar of the glass bowl. the burner knob is a new No.1 Duplex with a white porcelain handle front with brass stem. the top burner is still intact completely, only the glass globe is missing.The base a very heavy iron covered by brass. The lamp has been electrified by adding a stem and cap onto the oil lamp base, the cord runs down the lamp and comes out of a drilled hole in the base of lamp. The lights turn on with the sockets of the bulb with a turn switch. Can probably be converted back to original lamp, as only the base has been compromised with the drilled hole. or can be used as a parts lamp.
