The condition is excellent. It has a factory original glazed firing fissure on the outside surface(see 9th image) which does not go through the pot, otherwise, there are remarkably no other chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, bruises or restoration. A great early pot in what I would consider outstanding original condition. Be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and condition. The crock measures 6-7/8 inches tall and the base is 5- 5/8 inches in diameter. There are a couple of minor nicks on the underneath side of the lid. Missing glaze and small nicks on the lid where the bail handle latches down, and some crazing. ITEM DESCRIPTION: I have up for your consideration from The Treasure Chest: A very large stone type jar with a spout at the bottom. Has two steel bands around it. I moved one of the steel bands up some so I could identify the maker: KNIGHT WARE STOCK 201 75 5 VB. Has a handle hold on each side of the jar. I don't have a clue what this was used for. This is a very heavy jar. I don't have any way to weigh it. The size is: 38 3/4" tall measures about 26 1/2" across the center middle at the top of the jar. I measured around the top all the way around and it is about 6' circumference. It is about 2" thick. It has some real tiny hairline splits but not very bad and a chipped place on the bottom rim and I believe that spot can be repaired also. There are a few paint drips, or splatters, not too bad. The spout has been ... morebroken loose and needs repaired. If that spout was repaired, I believe it would still hold water. As you can see in the pictures this is a very large jar and is very heavy. It would have to be pick up only. I can load it but it would be up to the buyer to have a way to unload it. I think this was something to do with Industry maybe. The factory was built in 1899 with the first jars manufactured in 1900. Weir was known for their stoneware fruit jars and advertising pieces for the Heinz Company. This Antique Glazed Stoneware Chinese Soy Sauce Jug is in good condition for it's age. This little spouted jug/jar is a piece of g old rush history and was made sometime around 1900. It measures about 5.25" tall. There is a small chip on the spout and a few chips on the edge of the base. Antique 19th Century Stoneware Whiskey Liquor Jar Dark Brown Slip Glaze
Antique stoneware vessel to originally hold a type of alcohol usually made from distilled sorghum. The condition is amazing for its age. It is very thick and very heavy the clay is very course so the walls have to be thicker as the course clay is not fine. The glaze is traditional brown slip that is typical to early 19th century pieces. So this being so rare gives it a certain rustic beauty. The pictures speak for themselves. Excellent condition. Measures 11 inches tall X 7 inches at its widest point so it is pretty large and is a heavy piece. Really nice for any stoneware collection! Email me any questions or offers.

Small chip on shoulder(see pic#8) two small chips on base. Base is marked 44. 9 1/4" to top of rim. 11" to top of bale. Base is 6 3/8" across. Guessing it's a 1/2 gallon size but I'm not an expert.
