Antique Pottery Stoneware Crock Jug Herb Beer with Nice Handle
Description: T his is an old Beer Crock with a handle found in an old barn here in New Hampshire. There are no markings to identify it but the pronounced lip means that it held contents under pressure and the cork could be tied down to resist the pressure. The bottle is about 8 ½” tall and 4” wide. There are a few nibbles here and there but it remains in pretty good shape with nice color as you can tell from my pictures. Measuring 9 1/8" High by 3 3/4" Wide. Across the Base, is this Very Old 19th. century"StoneWare" Beer bottle with the debossing"A.H. WEBSTER" on the conical neck of the bottle. There is some kind of a graphic flower/ paining design or decal, possibly, that would be easily removed. I removed a green felt pad, on the base, and there are traces of the remnants of that on the base. There are NO CRACKS, NO LINES, NO CHIPS, etc. There is a very Old, Pin-point, hardly noticeable flea-bite, on the inside of the Mouth, where it looks like the side of an opener may have caught the Lip. Not Distracting or considered damage. Bottle is Super clean. I have never heard of this Merchant, and wonder if the bottle is listed(in Graci's Book? etc. Nice!

NICE ANTIQUE STONEWARE JUG 9 INCHES TALL DECORATED WITH COBALT & WHITE LINES NR
3 DAY AUCTION! This is for a lovely antique stoneware jug with diminuative proportions and a quaint decoration of cobalt and white lines applied to the wall of the jug. The size is attractive. Standing 9 inches tall with a 6 1/2 inch diameter. The jug is in very good condition. It does have a small, flat chip on the bottom rim which is barely visible, and there is some glaze imperfection on the bottom rim which I think is from manufacture. There are a few straw lines, but there are no other chips and no cracks. The unglazed shoulder is soiled, but that's pretty minor. Here we have a very nice stoneware whiskey jug. The color is amazing! Earthy green with a slight blue cast and a rusty brown showing through in some areas. Very clean inside and out thanks to the paper wrapped corn cob stopper that I believe is original to this jug. Fits perfect! Nice sized for tipping. Approx. 7 1/2" tall-6" at the top and 5 1/2 at the bottom. Slightly ovoid shaped. There are a few very small imperfections in the glaze where tiny bits of debris was glazed over and then came off later. Check close up of handle and see where the glaze ran around one of these. Vintage / Antique Cobalt Bird Rooster Jug Stoneware Pottery - Nice Lamp Base
Hand painted stoneware jug with cobalt blue rooster/ chicken/ bird. The jugs dimensions are roughly 12" tall. 2" lip, 6.5" diameter at base, and 24" in diameter at it's widest point. There are no visible makers marks that I can see, other than the artists initials of"DT" on the lower right hand corner. There is one small ding on the lip about the size of a pencil eraser(see pics) There are 2 thin glaze pops near the bottom- not hairlines- it doesn't show on the inside- this is in the glaze. One is about 1.5" and the other about 2" There is crazing(due to age) but glaze fully intact. Nice clean jug- no major issues, color is vibrant, glaze is shiny. Thanks for looking!

This antique primitive salt-glazed one-handled stoneware jug is a nice medium size. It is circa 17th century. The jug has an early form. With some line detailing around the base. The surface is a mottled brown glaze. The jug measures 7 1/2" tall. And is 5" wide at the widest point. There is a 2 1/4" base, and a 2" mouth opening. Based on the color variation of the glaze, I am assuming the jug has been restored, but nicely done. This antique primitive salt-glazed German stoneware jug(Raeren? is circa 17th century. The one-handled jug has a nice early form. With a rilled body and a thumbed base. The color is a mottled brownish/grey. The jug measures ~7 1/2" tall x 5" at its widest point. And has a 2" mouth opening, and a 3 1/2" diameter base. It is in good condition overall. There is a chip on the inside of the mouth opening, which does not go completely through to the outside of the mouth opening, as shown in the last two pictures. There are no other major chips or cracks that I can see, but since I am not an expert in this field, I ask that you please zoom in on all of the pictures for detailed close-ups. It is also marked on the front and the back which is usually not seen on these old bottles. It does have a seperation starting in the handle that was done during firing and has lasted all these years. It is still solid. This is must for a collector or collection believe me you will love it. Antique Redwear Stoneware Whiskey Jug With Pour Spout Nice Check It Out
You are looking at an old whiskey jug with a pour spout on it it is in excellent condition for it age there are no cracks or hairline cracks on it. I have only wiped it with a damp cloth the remove the dust I would say there is 2 small chips on the spout about ball point pen size as I tried to show in the pictures. Any questions please feel free to ask. It is brown in color but it's not even some spots look lighter like the finish was thinner in those spots. Primitive Antique Swaine Pottery Jug Estate find from the home of a collector. This is a very nice large Stoneware Jug made by Swaine. Marked/imprinted on the front of the jug. Applied handle with nice decorative touch where the handle is applied to the side(see pic) Beautiful Ovoid Shape and reddish brown glaze. Some minor glaze flaws but no chips or cracks. In very nice antique condition. Swaine pottery was being produced in Sutton Heath. England by Robert and Thomas Swaine in the early 19th century. They were known to have been producing brown and black stoneware between 1825 and 1843. Jug measures about 18" tall. Very Nice Primitive Antique Jug from well know English Potters. I found this in my Grandfather's Collection. It has been stored in his attic for years. I think it is a whiskey/moonshiner jug. As far as I know it's an antique and because of that. And what appears to be chips or nicks on the body of the jug. I cleaned the outside before I listed it, but the inside might need some more cleaning, not sure. This is a nice vintage brown glazed stoneware jug with wide mouth(3 3/8" across the top. Opening is 2 5/8" The glaze is fantastic; smooth, shiny, and even with large areas of yellow/green discoloration that happened during firing in the kiln. It is in excellent condition with absolutely no chips or cracks, just a few light scuffs and scratches. This piece displays beautifully. It measures 9 3/4" H x 7 1/4" in diameter. Here is an oldie-1855 from England. I adore it but because I am moving this one will be sold off. It has nice flowers and leaves like cabbage type on the relief work. I used to know the name of this type of design of pottery but it escapes me. The pitcher/jug is about seven inches tall at its highest. Look at the interesting raised registration mark on the bottom.
